Camel got a reaction from StarGT in 2013 Lamborghini Gallardo Lp 560-4 Spyder V 1.0
:modwork:
Please keep requests to the requests section.
And also, don't tell people that you have the requested car if you're not able or willing to release it.

So after hours of struggle I have finally cracked the FFB case.
My experience with G27 was pretty bad on this game. That's because devs were too lazy tuning for each wheel so you have to set up everything manually.
You kind of have to do a phd on the matter to master it but for those who want some quick settings for G27 here we go:
First off your global device settings should look like this:
Overall effects anywhere in between 100 to 110 to your liking.

Once you do that, go to the game options and calibrate the wheel accordingly. On the FFB settings make sure the force feedback slider is at 100.
We don't really need to go into 'Calibrate Force Feedback' but you can adjust to your liking, personally any change I've made on that menu made things worse.
So once we are in the game go to tuning setup and go to FFB tab.
NOTE: The settings may change depending on the car and track < they are making us do all the work for this one. For instance a GTE car in Nordschleife should have completely different settings, the settings below are mostly good for road cars on smooth circuits.

so the initial problem since day1 with this game was there was no actual road feel translating to the wheel. That's why I kept whining on and on and the problem is G27 has a different vertical force system and its the first game I've encountered that hasn't dealt with this properly. So the Fz scale is actually all those bump and oscillation effects that were missing. Even with these settings it's not perfect but it is A LOT better. sadly I cannot turn down the other directional effects and crank up the master scale to increase Fz effect because you start to loose detail below 40 I found. aand because the kerb effects are directly connected to Z they are a bit of a handful. But anyway if you have a G27 and you're wondering why this game sucks there's your answer above.
Hope that helped.

Thought I'd give this another go using some settings found on the pCARS forum. Clicky
Steering deadzone 6
Steering sensitivity 0
Throttle deadzone 10
Throttle sensitivity 30
Brake deadzone 10
Brake sensitivity 30
Speed sensitivity 55
Controller filtering 40
Advanced on
Soft steering damper
Can comfortably drive every car that I tried. Couple the above settings with ABS on and it's a fun game after all!
Not sure if the ABS thing is a bug or not but with it turned off the cars are far more twitchy and harder to handle, even when not braking.

Camel got a reaction from CLR-GTR in ADAC 24hr Nurbschliefring - 2015 Edition
Had this on for the last 4 or so hours in the background and one thing I've noticed is that the commentators don't seem to know their arse from the elbow. :fp: And I thought I talked a lot of rubbish.

One of these
Given I planned to upgrade to Windows 10 on release anyway, I'll just install the latest Insider Preview build. Now that I have some time I'm also interested in trying to dual-boot into OSX again.

I'm not really good at 3D (nor at UV mapping), so my first showcase isn't really great (I didn't even make that low poly house :p). But I swear I'll make a eye candy sector to show the tools features. :D
Right now, I still need to:
- remake the UI
- fix some glitches I spotted (like the fact you can't export imported roads; something's wrong when computing the tristrip)
- write a decent user guide to use the tool
- (and also finish the work started for the next project paradise update :) )

Ah yeah, do that many a time myself. Never lost a thing I couldn't find... as it is still just "away".

Camel reacted to mau92 in Project CARS Launch Trailer - did you see it? ;)
Oh, I haven't received any notifications and, tbh, I don't check hotmail very much. Anyways I have activated and I'm downloading it now ;)
Hope to see that TDUck livery soon ;)

Camel got a reaction from Milli in Learning to drive with a G27.
Agree with everything Milli said (I know, the horror!). I don't think games can really teach you how to drive as it is all about feeling and sound to an extent and there are no games that can replicate feeling unless you have one of those expensive rigs that moves around. And as for sounds, all you get in games is engine and road noise, you can't hear when the engine is labouring, telling you to shift down etc.

Honestly? I don't think any game could help you more than get to know the theory of driving. Like, a game can teach you what to do, but do it in real is just practice.
If you already know the theory, like, press the clutch and etc... a game won't help at all, because driving is more about feeling, and as people said, games do lack that fine feeling.

Come to the UK and see. People wear them everywhere.
Wearing a football shirt should only be acceptable when A) playing football B) when watching your team play at a stadium or a pub C) Under no other circumstances.

Wear a football top out and nobody blinks an eyelid, wear an BTCC team fleece out and you get look's of WTF and disgust.
Same idea, only there's more chance of me owning a car of that brand than you ever playing for that team.

Camel got a reaction from Eudemon in DiRT Rally trailer
How did I miss this!? Man, I loved the old Codies rally games and never really understood why they stopped making them.
I was only tempted to buy this now... But then I saw a screenshot with a Mini in it and well, you know.

Funny I hated the red wheels in photos but they do look good in person. Self preservation is high in my list of priorities. :)
I'll be taking it easy, the bike seemed happy to cruise at 80kph in 2nd gear to my surprise (would normally be in 4th or 5th on the Honda) - conversely the Striple is also happy doing low speeds in top gear. It does have a quick shifter which may turn out handy for an eventual 0-100kph test but I have to keep the revs under 5k during the engine run-in. 3.x seconds seems achievable based on videos.
