  1. Hehe, if I lived near a ski resort and didn't work in a city I'd go for a manual too. Great engine note their and definitely your best video. Done any commercial video work recently?
  2. Some notes about MSI Afterburner - it works quite well, less performance drop than FRAPS, it's 100% free (no full payware version), doesn't require a MSI graphics card as the name might suggest, and records to a compressed format from the start. The only catch is that to edit the files in Vegas/Premiere, you'll need to install a Codec pack. If you're using a 64-bit version of Vegas/Premiere, you'll need 64-bit codecs (caught me out the first time). i.e. K-Lite Codec Pack 64-bit The only thing I didn't like compared to Fraps was the lack of an FPS counter, but besides that it gets the job done pretty well. No support for Minecraft (Java) though.
  3. Now that I've worked out how to simultaneously output audio via RCA (to speakers) and nVidia HDMI (for recording) I use my elgato Game Recorder (which is how I record the PS3/X360/any device with video output). The device does all the encoding and sends it back to a PC (the same one in my case) via USB. The software also TimeShifts so is constantly recording in case you want to rewind the record something. Once you've finished recording it's easy to split/crop tracks and export to MP4 in a couple of seconds where you can further edit in Vegas/Premiere. Quality comes out great (everything that is sent to your monitor is sent to the recorder). There's no performance loss (it's recording to a separate HDD not used by Windows or the games. Keep in mind that I further compress the videos afterwards (losing quality) to upload faster. Most expensive of all the software but if you want to record console footage then this is the way to go. No HDCP support unfortunately though. There's an adapter cable for PS3, guessing they'll have to make ones for the PS4/Durango if they're both using BluRay. Find them on eBay if you want one. FRAPS (probably): MSI AFterburner: Elgato:
  4. Didn't realise mine were that big, I'll do the URL link in future for you (unless I forget)
  5. Be sure to post those @ WMD > pCARS > General > Screenshots thread - you may end up on the homepage with some of these
  6. Yeah, that's been a very tricky car to drive since the SETA TM replaced the BTM
  7. Post more pics :p Also post in the CB when you're playing in case we want to join
  8. Asking for flash game recommendations gave the impression you had plenty of time to search Try looking for Flash Game of the Week, I remember that one. Or just Google Best Flash Games - I'm sure people have already made lists. Or check the Google Chrome web app store for games. Skid Racer comes to mind.
  9. Leme guess the sticker name.... Blown Exhausts? :D
  10. We have a flash game thread somewhere :hmmm:
  11. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XfXh_fD3z2M They worked out that the yellow car travelled over 45 meters in the air while sideways at ~200kph - a miracle that he didn't roll. Plus he had a massive crash on his last race as well.
  12. Do you expect any of us to download that much though? ;) *added to Watch Later list*
  13. Found out yesterday that there's an option in the game somewhere to choose between 4 different Lens Flare settings. Maximum (default - as seen above), Subtle, Minimal (favourite for interior cameras), and the old optic version. You can choose Internal camera and external camera flare separately.
  14. Maybe because they spend most of their time driving in the day? ;)
  15. TECHNICALLY it should be slower since the no-lag would apply to both cars (assuming same engine capacity) because there is no boost ;)
  16. I don't think LCDs are serviceable - you'd have to ask a repair shop what they think.
  17. What's so funny about a link to swype.com??? Anyway -- OLD IMAGE REMOVED (imageshack) --
  18. I'll say. I'm quite happy how I can hardware record now - but I reckon I could do with a few more FPS so might have to turn down the AA setting. (DS4 to DS2 or 4x or something)
  19. My research suggests this is < 350, although I may change it later anyway
  20. Looked more like my volcano next to your one, I also nearly panicked
  21. Make sure the URL part of your picture (if you have one) links directly to an image, not a webpage. Otherwise put the webpage link below as text, otherwise your photo won't show up in the entry list in future. -- OLD IMAGE REMOVED (imageshack) --
  22. Congratulations to Apu for winning the Driving Game Screenshot of the Week last week. * Stick to the implied theme (don't look for technical loopholes) * Images must not exceed 2048kB, and be at least 990px wide by 340px tall. * Each person who enters must cast a vote in the same week to remain eligible. You may not vote for yourself. * Winning image must not be of TDU2 as you risk account suspension. * Winner picks the next theme, unless winning consecutively, in which case the runner up decides. * Winner has 48h to PM a new theme to me or another member of staff if I'm away, if they fail to meet this then the theme will be a free round. * Competition is limited to games on all platforms of any age that are classified as driving/racing games. (i.e. FPS games that have cars in them wouldn't be eligible). Please mention what game your screenshot is from. * Minor non-enhancing editing permitted (cropping, addition of your name, etc) is permitted, as long as the actual screenshot isn't tampered with. Just like all these other comps. Week 24:
  23. Yeah most apps have that, I didn't bother doing any post-rendering though, was getting late so I was in a rush, uploaded videos overnight. Here's the Spa Historic one, there are more on my channel
  24. Nice to know people don't just look at the pretty photos without reading the text  ;) Probably because I didn't post enough about it here :p The video is up - check out the Gaming Videos thread Post Your Gaming Videos - Page 37 | turboduck forum
