  1. You do realise that you don't have to be able to play the game with everything set to Ultra, right? I wish more games had visual settings beyond the reach of many so that they would look even more awesome years later. Similar to how my old PC couldn't play TDU1 on stock High settings, but on newer PCs I could play at the highest settings AND make use of HQ texture mods, the HD (draw distance) mod, and force higher AA. If the game was optimised to extreme levels, it wouldn't be dynamically calculating stuff and therefore wouldn't be a simulation. Same reason why MS Flight Sim X was never "optimised".
  2. Same deal in TDU1 and many other games. It's called compromising quality and with performance.
  3. I guess we better all jump on board X Motor Racing if the bots tell us to  btw I have played the X Motor Racing demo many years ago when it was new, it was absolute rubbish then and looking at the video above it seems like nothing has changed. iirc I had to spend an hour working out how to map by wheel controls in a config file because they had no in-game interface to do it.
  4. Same, had a brief cruise with someone a month ago at their request but haven't really played it since late December. No one is organising cruises, and it takes a good 30 mins to relearn its physics to drive quickly. One day I'll get around to exploring all of the map and become more familiar with navigating it but got a few other things on atm.
  5. There's more to cars than just their external body * Internal cockpit * Damage model, deformation * Ambient Occlusion (reflections) * Sounds * Physics * AI control * Customisation, tuning parts If that photo was taken as soon as the external body was complete, it would hardly be fair accuse them of holding something back just for the sake of it.
  6. The operation was successful. I also split up the list to save people from destroying their scroll wheel.
  7. So I've been watching a few hours each night, finally caught the end of it (although for some reason my PC didn't record the first 2 hours at dark) Some videos Viewer discretion advised: "Excuse me sir, excuse me sir, coming through..., beg your pardon" - Bentley https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5ADZaKdjNn0 [spoiler=Final 16 minutes] There's a few hours worth of replay footage still available via the LiveStream website in the OP.
  8. At least I can count to 1, Camel (and I think it's a valid request with the new consoles being more PC-ish). Microsoft already demoed FM6 on Win7 PCs at E3, and I'm sure PD aren't running Visual Studio directly on PS4 devkits either.
  9. Same, I'd be reinstalling DiRT3 if I had the free time of a 17yo
  10. Yes, that mode enables verbose asserts. The idea is to post the logs on the forums.
  11. I'm just disappointed that you didn't include the Austin Powers movies in your list :cheeky:
  12. Week 67 Theme: Golden Era of Racing Chosen by: TDUFREAK500 Winner: T1M / Ozzmcom
  13. Add -gold to the launch parameter list in Steam.
  14. They're all much the same to me, really. Just the special effects have improved over time. Die Another Day if I have to pick one (that was the one with the boat chase then the invisible Aston in the snow, right?)
  15. This is probably the first episode where the SIARPC was the best part of the show  It seemed a little odd to me how high the production quality was for this cheap car challenge. Old but going to drop this here:
