Isn't GT6 supposed to have Bathurst as well? Also Project CARS & R3E. iRacing is working on it too. Hopefully we get more Aussie tracks in various games/sims because it hasn't been done since Toca 3 (unless you count mod tracks for rFactor/Race 07). iRacing has Pihilip Island GP which is a great track. I remember Turn 10 had a massive marketing campaign here for FM3 when the Bathurst 1000 was on, with some of the drivers racing V8 Supercars... around LeMans :fp: We'll see if they do something similar this year.

GT6 is PS3, I wasn't too blown away by it but no doubt it'll be a good game and plenty of friends will be playing it so I'll be sure to grab a copy. Not sure about spending as much money as I did on GT5 though with the preordered collectors edition

The single BEST THING about FTB so far (as I was telling pyrre last night) is that there is no more creepy music when i go mining that scares the bedonkas out of me. Also the minimap has a cool radar that shows you where the caverns/tunnels are so you can link up to them easily, plus they show where the mobs and other players are (although sometimes its misleading if you think they are coming to get you but they are above/under you and not able to get you. Although it is handy for scoping out where the caverns are when you're up top (you can see lots of mobs in the radar but not on the ground). I've since discovered all that xychromium gem stuff is mainly for decoration, which means I'm back to having not found much. The actual map itself is very nice though, some great biomes which means I still haven't decided where to build yet. Also the speech bubbles are pretty neat. ;)

So Gamescom is over now and to be honest I didn't hear as much console news as I first expected. The brief PS4 interface demo looked pretty good but there are still questions hanging over whether or not everyone's Internet will be good enough to make use of those features. Good on them for teaming up with Euro ISP's to improve speed - they said they will announce more so let's see if anything happens here (doubt it - waiting for the NBN roll-out). The Xbone is starting to look more like a decent proposition although some of the features are a little half baked and everything still requires Gold membership. At this point in time I'm in no rush to get either (my biggest excitement is actually the Oculus Rift for PC) so I'll hold back and see what each console is like when they're both released and endlessly reviewed. Of course the other big swaying factor will be what everyone on my friends list does. :) If I had to lean towards one right now it would still be the PS4. So what about everyone else? Has Microsoft's backflips been enough to change your mind? The poll is reset so read the OP and vote again!

You got Plato's autograph? Nice!

There's an NPC village nearby where you can take wheat to make bread, and there's plenty of cows around atm for food as well. The John Smith............ texture pack inside the launcher

Evidently even red matter armor is not strong enough to withstand a direct blast from one of these crystals being destroyed Take 2, works better - but no dragon ever showed up Map is backed up and server is now running a new Feed the Beast world if you want to play again.

I saw a nice model the other day but it cost $2000 so I didn't bother

I know it's from E3, but I hadn't see LV in town before and I don't get why we want more than one video thread, unless you're still trying to impress our new overlords-to-be :)- 15 replies

Didn't the game come with one, or was that only TDU1?

This would've been nice to enter but it's compressed way too much So I'll go with this: About 6 hours until entries close MrSoftie, yours looks great but doesn't totally look like a sunset - I'll leave it to Ozz to call

I'd be interested in seeing you post a mini review of that game, Brian Mini Reviews | turboduck forum

Even the GRID 2 devs said their physics engine ran at 1000hz or something, and what did that give us? The comment that nothing like this is done on PC is also ridiculous. Of course that won't stop the wide-eyed kiddies going 'woooow' :) I'll wait for independant reviews first - I'm sure it'll be good like it always has been and of course fun (which is the most important bit at the end of the day) but I never come away thinking it was a full-on sim. Forza cars always have felt a bit more 'rigid', twitchy, easier to save, whereas GT felt more natural somehow, no other game feels like GT however so it's hard to say. I know Tiff Needell did a piece on Fifth Gear the other year and he didn't like Forza 4 (or was it 3), and Ben Collins has said similar. The good thing about both games having so many cars is that there's more of a chance of it having a car that you own or have driven, so there's more opportunity to compare. Maybe in 2 weeks when I get back from my day of driving a Scirocco R around the race track I'll try both games at home and see which is most similar.

Low FPS and twitchy action gamepad handling with lots of traffic around typically means I'd be crashing into things... a lot. I'll see what I can squeeze out of it on the PC - but of course the other advantage is of course picking my own graphics preferences - so I could reduce quality to increase FPS *if* I wanted to.

the crew The Crew: gamescom Screens & Videos [UP: off-screen videos]
Ryzza5 replied to Eudemon's topic in Driving & Racing Games
:sam: You should get them some time next week Also around the 5m mark in this video he mentioned groups (similar to 'locking' in TDU1) were for a max of 4 players (i.e. the size of your crew) - so it would be good to ask if there's any way to lock 8 players together for just cruising. Also he mentions the release date is Q1 2014 instead of early 2014.- 15 replies
