  1. I've never seen it done before (at least skillfully). Usually they'd just turn in immediately and not slide.
  2. DGSotW Hall of Fame Week 19 Theme: Lightweight Track Day Car Chosen by: superhyper Winner: superhyper
  3. Congratulations to Santtu for winning the Driving Game Screenshot of the Week last week. * Stick to the implied theme (don't look for technical loopholes) * Images must not exceed 800kB, and be at least 990px wide by 340px tall. * Each person who enters must cast a vote in the same week to remain eligible. You may not vote for yourself. * Winning image must not be of TDU2 as you risk account suspension. * Winner picks the next theme, unless winning consecutively, in which case the runner up decides. * Winner has 48h to PM a new theme to me or another member of staff if I'm away, if they fail to meet this then the theme will be a free round. * Competition is limited to games on all platforms of any age that are classified as driving/racing games. (i.e. FPS games that have cars in them wouldn't be eligible). Please mention what game your screenshot is from. * Minor non-enhancing editing permitted (cropping, addition of your name, etc) is permitted, as long as the actual screenshot isn't tampered with. Just like all these other comps. 4. Tried two different codec packs (although not sure if there were x64 specific codecs included).
  5. Congrats on the win, Santtu Camel will be thrilled to see pCARS on the banner :D
  6. lol nice, I was thinking to buy NkP last week but figured I could wait since I barely have enough time to play as it is, now that it's 70% cheaper it's a no-brainer. Remember this was Tif Needel's favourite sim racer last year compared to iRacing, GT5, FM4, etc.
  7. I've got that as well already
  8. Updated mine with current screenshots
  9. If they weren't going to wait a long time for the next one I don't think they'd have included full-on game streaming and 4K support in the PS4 since most end-users won't have the TV and INternet connection to make use of that for a few years. Plus even if they started on the PS5 right now what's to say it wouldn't take them another 5 years. That said 5 years would be a much better cycle to keep up with PCs, assuming Microsoft doesn't kill the desktop PC with their weird Windows ideas.
  10. What We Know Hardware The PS4 console hasn't been revealed yet since Sony are still working on it; hands-on time is expected at E3 (June 11-13, 2013) The PS4 console will use a 6x BluRay (8x DVD) drive for games and movies The PS4 console uses an 8-core 64bit AMD "Jaguar" CPU, an enhanced ATi Radeon with 18 compute units capable of 1.84 TFlops, and 8GB of unified GDDR5 RAM. A storage drive will be included but specifications concerning this haven't been revealed yet. 802.11n WiFi, USB 3.0, Bluetooth 2.1, HDMI, optical out and a legacy analog AV out make up the inputs and outputs A "near-final" version of the DualShock 4 controller has been revealed, showing convexed thumbsticks, additional "Share" and "Options" buttons, a touchpad, and a PS-Move style light bar for player number identification and controller location tracking via the new PlayStation 4 Eye. The PlayStation 4 Eye features two 1280x800 cameras with 85 degrees field of view (one for video, one for motion tracking, 3D triangulation, and gesture recognition) and 4 microphones. 4K 'super high definition' video output will be available for content that supports it. PS4 games currently being developed will not be able to output at 4K. A separate chip will handle uploading/downloading content in the background while playing or while the console it turned off (standby mode). Software The x86-based CPU means that PS3 games (which were coded for a Cell processor) will not be natively compatible on the PS4. Sony will later consider alternative solutions such as emulation or online streaming for the longer term. Games purchased through the PlayStation Store and downloaded digitally on the PS3 will also not carry across to the PS4. The same goes for 'gave saves'. Used games will work on the PlayStation 4, however there appears to be an unannounced caveat concerning this. Players will be able to use Gaikai's streaming technology to play games without waiting for downloading to complete, to try before you buy, and to drop-into games your friends are playing to help them out. Players will be able to live-stream their gameplay to friends via the Sony Entertainment Network and record up to 10 seconds of video. Integration with popular social networks will be available. While aliases will be retained for 'anonymous gaming', players will be able to see personal details when playing with real life friends. Information will likely be pulled from social networks. PS4 consoles will be able to stream games to the PlaySstation Vita using RemotePlay. Instant suspend mode will allow you to turn off the console mid-game and then turn it back on and return to the same point in your game. No more booting. Driving Games It has been reported that Ivory Towers are developing a game similar to Test Drive Unlimited 1 (which they created when known as Eden Games) for the PS4. Further details coming at E3. DriveClub has also been announced as a PS4 launch title from the developers who made MotorStorm on PS3. Other Details The PlayStation 4 console will be available in the holiday season at the end of 2013. The head of Sony America "hopes" the console will cost less than US$499, which was the launch price of the most expensive PS3 variant. 11. Roads don't look open from what I've seen, especially with multiple countries shown. I'm a bit cautious on this one.
  12. There's still a lot to be revealed but so far it doesn't look like my kind of game, especially if it's not coming to the PC platform.

  14. Did you try playing hard to get and mention Drive Club?
  15. One of my signature "walk n shoot inconspicuously" shots that are typically out of focus :)
  16. Samsung Galaxy S3 running Android JellyBean 4.11 And here's my phones' web server desktop for when I cbb connecting via USB or initiating a wireless sync from my phone: Useful for copying files to/from the device, enjoying media stored on the phone (songs, photos, videos), sending SMS messages, updating the address book, pasting links from webpages I was reading on a PC and want to finish off on the phone when on the train.
  17. We don't know how 'simmy' it is - but they better support the current offering of steering wheels. Always knew that PS3 titles wouldn't be supported but still a little disappointed. If they are going for online downloads then they should offer free downloads of PS3 games you already own (tricky but not impossible to do, at least for those who have purchased DLC for games). Assuming GT6 isn't a launch title I'd be wanting to still play GT5 on it with my wheel. I've seen a few comments of people who are upset about the big focus on social play since "[they] have no friends"
  18. DC could use it's own thread I'm thinking And a homepage article - get on it Diablo :boss: Drive Club Announced for PlayStation 4 | Capsule Computers - Gaming Competitions Drive Club PS4 Trailer - GameSpot.com
