  1. EDIT: I had an ingling that it wasn't, and I believe it could be a 599. :) In fact, I'm pretty sure of it. Can't wait to hear about this. -Leadfoot
  2. I don't mean to be discouraging, but I'm not sure if pre-rendered images are allowed... But if they are, do say! Because I've got some new ideas. ;) -Leadfoot
  3. Oh, so I'm not a devout fan, am I? ... Well, I guess those more devout players will enjoy their extra post-beta rewards for being selected by Atari. -Leadfoot
  4. lol _____ Attention: Serious Discussion Diablo, I would +Rep you for your post on the previous page (ha, see, I checked the page number before posting this time :) ), but I think your covered. And that would dull the point anyway. I know I've changed my opinions rather obviously ( ) as far as Atari/Eden is concerned, but I do agree that these leaks are bad. Why? I just got my learner's permit, and for the next month or two, I'll be playing very little of my racing game collection - and probably not adding to it either. So it'll be difficult for any developer to take $60 of what has now become my gas money, especially for a game that contradicts what I'm learning. After coming across a beta video, it's becoming clearer and clearer that TDU2 may not be worth that cash. And that's coming from me, a die-hard TDU fanatic. Imagine the people on the fence from all parties; people who play sim games and love the interior view, people who love open world games. If they come across these videos and forget that its a beta and forget that it isn't out for months, it'll slide off their radar, too. President Lincoln led the US through a civil war, and when he was elected, he chose his advisors from both his opponents and his allies. By doing this, he aimed to get opposing views on all important issues, and if you are in the beta, please try to do the same before you upload pics or complain on the forum. -Leadfoot
  5. Agreed. Some people's sense of logic is, I dunno, nonexistant? He sees a terrorist group attack the US and think the best retaliation is to burn the religious text that most of them abide to? As NPR's "Wait, Wait, Don't Tell Me" show put it, "We're happy to announce that America has a new national moron!" -Leadfoot
  6. I believe it went haywire, but it was desperate at the end to try to get you to stop. I think... -Leadfoot
  7. LOL, where'd all the funny-ness come from? EDIT: Was searching for the sites that sell those and found this: -Leadfoot
  8. Do you have a wallpaper quality version of that, Mb? That's beautiful! -Leadfoot
  9. That's a fantastic-looking snow mod you've got there. :) -Leadfoot
  10. Writing about Audi is fine. Writing about your being in the beta is not. -Leadfoot
  11. You are very talented with this! If only TDU really looked like this. :( +Rep for making me want to play again. -Leadfoot
  12. Just found the vid (on my own, because Google is my friend :cheeky: ), and let me just say - it'll make you want to complain. -Leadfoot
  13. Well, yeah, I sort of saw it as a "Look how far we've come, because we can use the game graphics for the intro!" type thing. Always. Would still play it if I could. -Leadfoot
  14. Wow, an original. That's pretty rare unbelievably rare. :) -Leadfoot
  15. Ah, remember the days when they had to use real-life footage to promote games? :) -Leadfoot
  16. Agreed, especially the last bit. Anyone play the Just Cause 2 demo, where at the end if plays that cutscene that zooms out from the player, then slows - and then zooms out ten times more, until the first part is lost? :) That's what the TDU2 trailers should be. Remember the TDU1 trailer that used Blur's "Song 2" (Woo hoo! Something somethingsomesomething Woo hoo!)? That trailer is what TDU2's should be - two cars racing, then zoom out and back in one one cruising, then over to a police chase, etc. I would love to try my hand at making a TDU2 trailer, but there's not too much material to work with. -Leadfoot
  17. It's not on fire! WOW! _____________ Okay, so yesterday I drove on the public roads for the first time ever! And better yet, it was in a manual car. :) But the second time, I drove for a bit longer (in an auto) and the moment I pulled out, the VERY first car to pull out behind me was a bright red Corvette Z06. So he starts following at ten feet, and since its a learner's permit, I have one of my parents next to me saying "Don't go over the limit! Ignore him!" Luckily, there were other roads to practice on. :) -Leadfoot
  18. Switching to a new strategy, are they? WOW! Maybe this next tactic will involve, I don't know, actually advertising the game? C'mon, guys, you can do better than me. What do we think this "new strategy" is going to be? -Leadfoot
  19. Quite the bump there. But I like the last one. :) -Leadfoot
  20. Awesome cars, especially with contrast of the black wheels and body color. -Leadfoot
  21. I like the painted-on text style. :) Helps show the raw, brutish force even better. -Leadfoot
  22. Mmm, like Yoda you are speaking, yessssss. -Leadfoot
  23. Happy birthday. :) -Leadfoot
  24. Ferrari has refused previous games due to a) damage and b) police. The name "Hot Pursuit" can be defined as a police chase that is a close match and very action packed - so, crashes. Dunno, but maybe you can work out their chances of being in NFS:HP3. ;) EDIT: What is up with the page system? I keep getting put on the last page. Anyway, to follow these discussions, yes, making the models usually leads to out-of-date models. However, certain companies (Sony and Turn 10 come immediately to mind) contact the manufacturers to give them information about upcoming models (like the GT-R in GT5P, or the then-brand-new BMW M5 in FM1). -Leadfoot
  25. Same event? Or just the same car? Interesting to see one with the Jake emblem (cookie for those who know what that is). -Leadfoot
