Been following the progress over the past year over on FB, can't wait to follow the story of both of them now! :D Love the plans for entering WTT, will have my rooting for you! Feel sorry for you guys down under with the 'scene Vs police', over here in Scotland it's calm and can even have banter with the police at meet's (Unless it turns into a willy waving event of "Who can get best burnout/loudest car" thing, in which case the police do clamp down. Personally I agree on that as gives us all a bad rep). I've gotten away with doing a drift in the LS myself at one meet.

I hit into someone on the start/finish straight on the first lap when then'd just crashed. Never braked in time and game never ghosted them... Gave me terminal everything & finished my race from there...well sooner than it would have been anyways! Other than that was a good un! -

calster17 replied to The Queen's topic in Automotive Discussion
I've got shot's of all the cars (bar LaFerrari, that engine bay is embarrassing next to the others) if your interested. But considering it was 3 months ago I'll leave it. - Saw my first UK spec Ford Mustang today...it was an Eco-Boost. :fp:- 3,087 replies

Cock...never seen we had season 3! I should be here to defend my position at the back of the grid! Just need to throw some paint on a car and make another badly done "Blown Turbos" team livery! -
Not really my cup of that that, looks like a facelifted & tuned Sandero Stepway...

I just wish I had a good enough computer to run ETS2 at a good rate, and this of course! And a controler, as I can tell you first hand it's much MUCh easyer hooking up a truck/trailer and driving in a tight space in real life than with a keyboard! I'll be getting put threw my HGV license as of this year (Finally), so will be fun to play about with the simulators again! :D

Thankfully the DC100 is remaining just a concept. But i'm not getting my hopes up for the replacement to be a proper Rough-N-Tough car like it was. Personally, I think Harry Metcafe had a fantastic idea a few years back when he was still at Evo. In his little random article he would do he suggested just useing the old Discovery 4 as a base (boxy and Landy looking) but making it more agricultural, rubber floors, basic dash, easy to change light bubs, etc as well as making it available in a pick up.(Option for a 'chassis' cab would be great if possible) If they did that, for the right price. I reckon it'd leave everyone happy! Mandatory green with white roof of course.

After a history spanning 68 years, tracing it's root's back to THE Land Rover. The Land Rover Defender has officially been pensioned off. The Defender it's self is only 33 years old (technically 26, as was called just the 90 or 110 before that) but it's root's are firmly based back with the car that is now called the Series 1. That car, and the cars that followed have became the stuff of legend thanks to it's off road capabilities it gained a reputation as an go-anywhere car being used from farmers to explorers and of course the army. Over time, the cars has become an icon and fashion accessory in the same way the Mercedes G-Wagon, with prices for modified ones of late being absolutely crazy! (And in most cases, pointless for off-road!). but don't worry, alot are still used for there primary purpose of going off road. Be it on the farm, forrest trails, mud pugging or rally raid events. The final car, a 90 soft-top Heritage edition with the number plate 'H166 HUE" (tribute to the original 'HUE H166') completing a run of the REAL Land Rovers at a total of 2,016,933. Good Bye old friend. You were more than just an icon in British Motoring and will be sorely missed! :o

As tempting & funny as it would have been, I had fun with her so could't do it. Least this way another one can hopefully live a little longer! I could wait till after the trackday, but the last service was carried out 16,000 miles ago so is long over due, as well as the serpentine belt looking like it's the original and seems' like it'll snap any moment. And then there's the timing...which I don't have any reason or proof to think it's been done other than the Lexus stamp in the log book for 60,000 miles so want to play it safe. (People have reported getting over 200,000 miles on the original timing belt though...). I've my eyes on a few things (as always) Camel, don't you worry! chances are it'll be something you guys love, loathe or have no opinion of it! :cheeky:

Update time.... Civic 'Wolf' Still not got it's MOT, a year and 3 months after i fail it...had done 250 miles since Oct 2014 though. Currently under the status of "Open for offers" though. :( Cappuccino "LilCoffee" Been off the road since October 2015, in a state of "find the rust" and will be up for sale soon. Yup, I've given up and thrown the towel in on this. Honestly the best drivers car I've owned but trying to keep the rust under control is unreal. And I'm on about structural rust! Lesson learnt...I should have just gotten a good one rather than take a risk one and fix her up. She will be missed. Lexus LS400 As of yesterday, she has been in my ownership a year. Still doing things Lexus never designed it to do. Latest to that list include using it as an actual boat during heavy flooding (only damage is the heatshield on the O/S/R is now loose, and some lacquer peeling off on a part it was alreday) and getting airborne while doing a speed that may or may not have been above legal limit's. A trackday is due this year after the brakes, service and timing have been done. And that's it, the Kia got scrapped due to structural rust, bought for £200 and scrapped for £100. Not bad considering how much it got thrashed....

Reading what I posted back in late 2013, and seeing what I've got now... Yeah, totally not what I planned. Well, I at least got a V8, even if it's not a MG ZT260.

So Myself, Me™ and a few mates went out for the first proper run of the year... 2 tuned Classic impreza Estates, 2 Lexus LS400's, a tuned RX8 and an A4 quattro sport. Just the Normal cars you expect in a driving clubs convoy for twisty mountain roads this time of year of course. Did the infamous 'Cairn O Mount road', the road was still greasy at most parts, and some of parts with lots of mud (damn farmers) and grid/sand at the lower points of the route. Managed to get the LS airborne at one point while doing a speed above 70mph* by forgetting about a small humpback bridge on a bit of road that is like a mini Mulsanne Straight! The sound of the exhaust hitting ground as well as what I guess is the balljoints/suspension dieing was unreal. Thankfully, the HMS LexBarge is okay other than one of the heat shield's for the exhaust's being loose. If anyone wants more or better pictures, I'm sure I can 'borrow some of Me™'s photos or he can post them. * Say 100 -110mph...

I was getting a little confused at that until I remembered that they sold the Granada stateside looking nothing like the sleek,'Oh-so-70's', "Shut it you slag" Mk1 that we got over here! - For a trackcar for myself... Lotus Evora GT4 Go racing in the GT4 class in style! Anddddd heres one I can afford just now... 1997 Rover 100 '160' Laugh all you want, but this is't packing the original engine. With the 1.8 high reving twin cam popping out 160hp from the MG ZR and weighing in 800Kg with a little bit of tweeting for the handling make this an even better handling car. At a snippet under £1,900...I so would. -
I don't even like/follow the page, enough of my friends do though that it's plastered across my page all the time as if i did...

Also don't forget the huge amounts of social media pages jumping in the bashing wagon! One of the top offenders wthat spring to mind would be the 'Lad Bible' page...even more funny when you read the comments, funny in a face palm sort of way that is. :fp: Honestly have my hopes that this turned out to be like 5th Gear, as personally I much preferred it.

I finally got round to making a exhaust video while on the move.

In light of this week's passing's, my mum decided to give me one of her vinyl records,1980 copy of "Best of Bowie"... Listening to it while getting ready to hit the town tonight.

A bit of light on Dan Welch's 2016 plan's. He's a fantastic guy, and loved how he'd throw the little Proton about the place with good results (not in the past 2 seasons) so wish him best of luck! Hopefuly see him putting up a good fight again this season! :D

- Rob Austin is to be racing for Handy Motorsports this season. Running in a Toyota Avensis...sadly no Sherman this year. :( Knew he lost his big sponsor at the end of last season but never though we'd see RAR leave the sport. - Jack Goff has moved to West Surrey Racing. This means at the moment, 888/MG have no confirmed drivers.

Fantastic actor. Remember him from Die Hard & Galaxy Quest. This has to be his best moment though...
