These images shouldn't be coming close to 300Kb anyway.

 

Photoshop @ 70% = 110Kb (55-80 Quality is fine)

Paint.net @ 90% = 99Kb (70-90 Quality is fine)

 

Honestly people don't let image sites compress your images for you, they do a horrible job.
