If I lived on a mountain road, and worked somewhere a few mountains away, then yeha, manual would be great. But I work in the city, so I would pick Auto - but I have DSG which is nearly the best of both worlds. I do all my manual driving with the G25 anyway.

I have no objection to manual but if I had the money I'd be on that Tip-tronic, F1, DSG, E Gear, Sport Shift stuff.

I don't think assuming that someone driving an automatic is uncapable of driving a manual, that is rather unfair. My Silverado is not offered in manual, however I seem to drive just fine, and can drive a manual if need be.

I mean those who have disabilities and are physically unable to use their legs as well as they would have liked. Autos are good for just driving, I just prefer manuals.

Not rly, im 20 yrs old and have owned 3 cars and driven both auto and manual, tho never owned an auto and never will.

Here's what I drive, sort of. That snow's just from the last 7 hours since it rained this morning. :eek:

 

Don't think I'll be driving it for quite a few days now as it's actually frozen to the ground.

Haha that's nothing compared to over the road in the park, the snows over my knees and I'm no exactly a short person either. Lol

Ahaha, I love the difference between the amount of snow you have and what we have. We have nothing at all, infact we have sun and blue sky.

 

If I were you I'd be drifting around a Tesco car park when some of the snow melts away :p

I'll be taking it to the new B&Q car park when I can actually get the car to move. Semi-auto makes it rather hard to pull away. Might need to pour boiling water around the wheels because they're stuck in an inch think layer of ice from the rain.

 

Last time I drove it was 4 days ago and there had only been a tiny bit of snow, but even then it nearly killed me. Nothing works, it wouldn't even turn at 5mph. And trying to get up a small hill is a total no no even in second gear, it just slides backwards. More snow is forecast for tonight till tomorrow afternoon. :eek:

 

But when it's dry or only wet it has sooo much grip.

Rather than get water (which'll freeze again) Get some table salt and sprinkle it around your tyres. That should sort out the ice within 20 minutes.
