This is my mod for TDU. I modified the full island, grass, roads, boards, plants, houses, particles, map, menu, some sounds..

Don't wait for a miracle, it's just a texture mod, and just a beta version.

Install:

Open the .zip file with your winrar/winzip/total commander, and extract to your TDU folder.

I retexturized the full island (full level folder, without spots), because the grass will not be white whitout it. The wikiupload.com is a good place, the file limit 5GB. My upload speed 25Kbyte, its not good for torrent. :(

are you gonna split it in parts ? because downloading 5GB in a row would be pretty hard with my bad connection...

Yeah, that would be my suggestion. I'd just do five parts, because I'll download 1GB files for BF2 mods and patches, and it works fine. :)

 

Like I said in the other thread, amazing work! Can't wait for the release! I especially like the roadsigns and the fog. :)

I may upload it on more versions. 2*2.6GB, 1GB a part and 100MB a part.. Maybe some friends help me on torrent.

Looks great, but you should leave the roads as they are in the game, maybe that'll make the file not so big. Also, there shouldn't be any snow in the tunnel :D AND, rapidshare would work best for a lot of people, so you should consider uploading it on there too

Rapidshare would be great... But you would have to split it in 100 MB parts, and maybe someone (Djey) could make an autoinstaller.

Handling mod? The Hardcore Mode is good for snow. :)

 

The autoinstaller a good idea, but if somebody use a modified common.bnk (vehicules sound), then may be problem.

splitting it in 100 mb parts would suck, cause you'll have to sit around all day to start the next dl. and how would an autoinstaller affect sound mods? (i'm not sarcastic, i just want to know :D)

In regards to it affecting sound mods, it wouldn't really. From what I'm guessing, it only modifies the common.bnk or something sound file - stuff like skidding noise, ambient sound, stuff like that. :)

This is an example. The autoinstaller overwrite your modified common.bnk with my modified common.bnk and your file(s) will be lost. (I modified the common.bnk)
