READ THE REQUIREMENTS CAREFULY AND RESPECT THOSE IF YOU POST A LINK.

ONLY POST FOR DEFAULT VEHICLES OR BE IGNORED

Hi,

I'm getting a bit bored with searching and searching during hours for good material (ONBOARD videos or ONBOARD audio recordings) in purpose to make TDU sound mods.

So if you know any good (i mean REALLY good...) ONBOARD recordings somewhere on the net (videos from Youtube or dedicated racing sites etc.) and would like to have a sound mod based on it, why not posting your links here? If I really love it, I (or another sound modder interested maybe) will work on it and try my best.

These are the basic requirements :

- RECORDED ONBOARD (this is essential) by someone who knows what he's doing (forget the amateur records in 90% of cases). Could be on the dyno but in that case you must not hear it at all, which is impossible in general.

- Volume high enough with balanced dynamics, even at high or (if not available) middle-high rpm's.

- No parasite noises (cockpit echo, music, gravel noises, talking, wind, loud and anoying transmissions, tyre screeches, engines of other cars around, compression artifacts etc.).

- Linear, long enough accelerations and decelerations at all rpm's (low, middle and high) and if possible some driving at a constant speed.

Please just post stuff that match these requirements, I'm only looking for some good stuff that is hard to find even after hours of intensive investigations.

Here are the cars I search in priority : Lamborghini Miura P400 SV, Lamborghini Countach, Ferrari Dino 246 GT, Ferrari 288 GTO, Ferrari 250 GTO, Ferrari 308 GTS, Ferrari 512 TR, Aston-Martin DB4 GT Zagato, Jaguar Type-e, Maserati 3500 GT, Mercedes-Benz CLK-GTR, Dodge Challenger RT, Dodge Charger Super Bee, AC 289, Chevrolet Camaro Z28, Pontiac Firebird, Lotus Esprit V8, Ford Mustang GTR Concept, Ford Shelby GR1, Jaguar XJ220.

Thanks.

In car comes up at 1:00 (Corsa Exhuast Z06)

Too short, not enough material.

In car at 1:14 (Bartoli Exhuast Murcielago)

Not sure, volume is a bit low, there's a lot of echo/vibrations and it sounds just average to me. Maybe with a lot of work...

In car at 0:58 (360 CS Straight pipe)

Wrong link :p

Is this ok..?(Ford GT Straight pipe)

No onboard.

(Camaro SS Corsa Exhuast)

No onboard.

;282839']Not familiar with those, but if anyone wants Porsche/Gemballa sounds, look here:

They record it from every car - just click on one and click "listen."

Nice but no onboard and too short for getting a complete set of samples.

*.*

No low rpm, too much echo, tyres screeches etc., volume just high enough and too low at high rpm's. The samples would be too short and the mod would just be unexceptional.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hZqQ35B5odg there is some talking but I think you can get something out of that.

Too much wind and various parasites to me. Volume too low especially at high rpm.

Interesting, not sure. Anyway, I'm already working on a F360 sound mod from another source, it's been posted in the beta sound mods section and i hope to release a final version soon.

There's not many onboard material of that car around so it's always a temptation to use the few and average ones you can find. Some interesting parts but it's gonna be hard to get a powerful sound from it especially for the high rmp's. I think i'll give it a try anyway.

EDIT : ok, I tried and there's nothing good to do with this. The sound is weak and parasited, there are not enough parts that can be used plus the guy drives too slow so it's impossible to make a good high rpm sample anyway.

And all canal for Merc's and Ferrari 348/355 (nice for another high RPM V8's) sounds:

Nice, already looked at these ones before but found few material I could use really. Should give it another look though.

Thank you all.

I don't know how you feel about these but IMO that would make an awesome TDU V8 grumble.

I feel like i really like that sound and wish I could make a mod with it, but unfortunatly it's not enough. In first link the volume is too low and the driver goes too slow and in the second link the guy goes way too slow too.

Maybe this?

There is music in background :(

Thanks.

Too much wind, the volume isn't high enough, too rough at high speed etc.

Not the cars of my dreams, but something really exciting finally, someone who have read my requirements maybe :p

I've made that Audi RS4 sound as an example, hope you like it (release : http://forum.turboduck.net)./showthread.php?p=285512#post285512)

1st link : Volume too low.

2nd link : Not bad but the recording isn't that good.

3rd link : ?

1st link : The dyno volume is too high.

2nd link : Too much echo and parasites. Volume a bit too low.

Thanks for searching a 512 TR sound, I really wish I could make that one. Unfortunatly I have searched and searched as well and I never found anything good enough. Good luck anyway.

I thank you too for working on the classic cars, if you still want to create sounds, I'll be very happy ;)
