No, IP Lounge was a lounge (or lobby) of [dedicated] servers. I just mean typing in your IP address directly.

I may or may not have played over the school LAN back in the late 90's :smig:

 

NFS II SE was the first ever game I played online over a dial up modem (typed in my cousins phone number, no-one could use the telephone while we played a knockout comp).

That is so damn annoying, would be screaming down my radio after 2 laps for him to shut the hell up haha

I agree that it sounds annoying in the video, but when I was playing with my headset on it was actually pretty good. Maybe over time with repeated use, but you can press buttons or use speech recognition to turn info categories on/off, such as spotting, timing, vehicle status, etc.

Haven't recorded one of these in a while. I tried using my G27's H-shifter for this race, which definitely took things up a notch. Also had several other distractions going on at the time :D.
