Why don't ATARI and Eden Games make a "retro compatibilty" ?

 

As I know, TDU2 will have also the Oahu island...

Why they don't use same servers for TDU and TDU2 for Oahu? By that, new players of TDU2 can meet players of TDU1, and TDU1 players can see TDU2 players...

 

And for cars, they assign cars if there are same in TDU1 and TDU2... and if not, TDU1 and TDU2 will show "DEFAULT CAR" for non-present cars...

If this happens we had the same bad net code like in TDU 1, but the hope is that in TDU 2 it will be much better and so the systems are not compatible. ;)

You have to keep in mind the TDU2 Oahu is not 100% equal to the TDU1 version. Loads of roads have been added and/or changed, that would result in trouble, especially if there are tunnels in other places which are not on both islands, for example.

i'm pretty sure that's way too much work for them and they're not doing it, but it's a great idea.
