A little description of the car:

The IKA Torino, later Renault Torino, is an automobile made by Industrias Kaiser Argentina (IKA) under an agreement with American Motors (AMC) in 1966. The 1966 Torino was IKA’s first integral national product and IKA was eventually bought out by Renault in 1975 to form Renault Argentina S.A. The Torino was built on the same AMC platform (AMC's Rambler American) all the way through 1981 in both two-door hardtop and four-door sedan variants. It has been called Argentina's national car.

The Torino began life as an Argentine hybrid of AMC's 1964-65 Rambler American with exclusively designed front and rear body panels, bumpers and interior. Over the years, the Torino became mostly a product of Argentina with few imported parts and the engines were never sourced from AMC.

The Torino was equipped with with 3.77 L, overhead camshaft, straight-6 Jeep Tornado Engines, that were originally developed by IKA.

At the Torino's debut on 30 November, 1966, at the Municipal Racing circuit of Buenos Aires (which is used for the Formula 1 race every year), three models were available: a 4-door sedan with 3.0 L and 3-speed transmission, a 2-door coupe with 3.0 L with a Holley carburetor and a 4-speedZF manual gearbox, and a top-of-the-line "380W" equipped with an enlarged 3.77 L engine with 3 horizontally mounted Weber 2-barrel carburetors. The 3.77 L produced 215 horsepower, making the 380W capable of 205 kph top speed.

The car was successful in Argentina, and, when released, it placed well in international races against famous sport cars. The most important race was the "84 hours of Nürburgring" in 1969, with a Torino finishing in third place.

Now that we know a little about this beautiful car, let's focus on TDU. Some Argentinian modders (Victor Fernández, also known as "VeeF", and B375 Virtual Motors) have recently (2 months ago) done an IKA Torino Mod for the most popular racing simulator called Rfactor. The idea would be to convert the 4 most significant versions of Torino (380W, GS200, TSX and ZX), from Rfactor to TDU. All of these versions are included in the Mod.

So, why don't we take a look at these Argentinian modders hard work?

Here we go:

So yeah, we need the support of a good modder like Tool831, to convert these 4 versions of the Torino. Notice that all the models are perfectly done, but we should make some modifications:

- The exhausts look too big, they should be smaller.

- We should make a version of each Torino without its chromed bumpers.

- The interior should be reworked since it is not very detailed and it is low poly. And some textures could be replaced for better quality ones.

- The rims of the Torinos look too big, please notice that the real ones are 15", so they should be made smaller.

I guess that's all, hope you like the Torino as much as we, Argentinians, do.

For the modder who is going to make the conversion, here is the link for the Torino Mod:

And here, I leave you some pictures of a Real Torino TSX:

The car looks nice (I like the last one in particular), but I like more modern cars and I have no problem with this car. There are a lot of variations of this car that you posted but I don't know if any modder could convert rFactor models since I've never seen it happen before.

Yes you can make Rfactor cars into TDU cars and vice versa. Zmodeler is needed to convert the vehicle from OBJ/3DS to TDU, and im sure there are plenty of car editors/ scripts for import/export of Rfactor seeing as cars are being made for that all the time.

When I read the title, was obvious... is an Argentinian guy lol...

Well, regarding the topic, is quite hard to "at least" convert a car from rfactor to TDU, only for be viewable, then you must correct all the bugs that will appear in game.

PD: Anda al sitio de VeeF y B375 Virtual Motors y pregunta alla, ya fue...

PS: Ask to the creators of the mod if they can do something...
