the crew [Discussion] The "Big Three" vs "Import"

I had to bring this up for I think this may be a good discussion.

A "real world question" is also to be faced at the beginning of "The Crew".

 

As Closed Beta-players already know, we are given the choice between four cars:

- Chevrolet Camaro SS 2010

- 2012 Dodge Challenger SRT-8

- Ford Mustang GT 2011

- 2013 Nissan 370Z (Z34)

 

So, which car do you choose - and why?

Or do you just buy one of them to search the wrecks in it to do all the races in your classy Hot Rod?

I used the challenger approximately once. Bought a 300c as soon as I could. In hindsight, I'm not entirely sure why xD

Beta 1 had me in the Camaro since it was an all-rounder. Wanted power and strength over handling to deal with police and online opponents. (Plus I somehow knew that everyone would pick the Nissan and I wanted to be different)

Beta 2 saw me choose the Challenger (without doing any test drives) simply because I just want to cruise without upgrading the car and it had the highest top speed. Ignoring any potential physics/handling changes it feels a lot more of a boat and doesn't respond well to being shunted by police.

didn't even check the stats or test driven any, chose mustang because it's the best looking one.

Bought the Mustang because it was the best looking IMO, and got bored of it, so of course I went to NY and discovered that the classic muscle cars are virtually unattainable in the beta, so I went back to Detroit and bought a 300C, because saloon-car.

 

The interior's a bit tacky, but it drives nicely and looks mean.

I don't have money to buy new cars. They should've made making money easier in the beta. :(

With the second Closed Beta now over, this are my two cents:

- Camaro: I like Dale Earnhardt Sr, so I actually like Chevrolet, but this car, sorry, no. Too "modern-ish"...

- Challenger: Of the "Big Three" I like Chrysler most (Roadrunner), and this car has a classy styling. So I took it for my first Closed Beta.

- Mustang: The original "new Pony-car". Good looking, and I used a black 1:32 Carrera-one (with shiny rims) for racing when I was in 7th class. So I took it for my second Closed Beta.

- 370Z: This game (my dream-game would be like "50 years of supercars" at the French Riviera anyway) is about American cars for me, so nothing Japanese for sure.

- Hot Rod: Classy, and free. Perhaps I'm actually going to use it for all of the racing.

- Other cars: The proper ones are just way too expensive...

I took Challenger cause it looks good and its HEMI powered, i only had 3 days of game time so i didnt even think about earning money for second car.

 

I tried to collect the Hot Rod at the end but i lacked 5 wrecks :/
