You're right about it being a BMW Baxie, it's a Z1.

nipper if there's one group of people who respect the Nordschleife more than anything, it's riders ! They don't go flatout unless it's a flat straight as debris, dirt even oil can mess up a high speed bike easy. Plus there have been many riders killed while riding the Green Hell.

Well fast.

 

He drives the car around the track for a fee like Sabine Schmitz driving the Ring-Taxi.

 

Expensive, but well worth it.

Cool, how much does it cost?

 

I think it was Sabine that featured on Top Gear trying to beat the time Clarkson did in a deisel S-Type in a Transit, she didn't beat him if I remember correctly but was only out by a few seconds.

Trip in Ring-taxi was 75 euros if I remember correctly.

 

We got the trip round for free, since we were press :)

 

Also met and interviewed Sabine and yeah. She was the one who tried beating Clarksons 9.59, but ended up getting 10.08 on a superstripped Transit.

 

Insane.

That's around £50 which is quite expensive I suppose but what an experience it must be!

The average times of a lap in Sabines Ring-Taxi is 8.20 seconds.

 

I was wrong though.

 

It is 185 euros for a full taxi. So around 62 euros a pop.

Oh. And the ring is closed today for outsiders. Looks like someone is testing something.
