Best racing game music?

That game literally shaped my interests in music today. Jazz and any sort of piano arrangements, I absolutely love. :)

Can't say anything about the non-menu music in the game, though. Turned it off before the first time I raced.

 

But seriously, the producers of the music in question had quite some talent. :clap:

Most memorable music from my time playing racing games is NFS III Hot Pursuit and Gran Turismo. No other games have really made me focus on the music like those two. Could probably throw Wipeout in there too now I think about it. :p

I'm quite partial to the Gran Turismo 1 Opening...

 

 

Generally all the GT games have had excellent soundtracks, TT incuded. Same can be said for Forza before they stopped using licensed music.

 

I remeber stuff like Midnight Club II having a good soundtrack too.

 

 

Stuff from games like GTR2 is pretty good aswell. (You may recognise this style from Project Cars, same music guy in Dr Baysted.

 

 

Other games like the PGR series have had good soundtracks through their run too.

I am going to stick to what I've said in the past and that is NFS II, High Stakes/Road Challenge and Porsche. Also a lot of Hot Pursuit 2.

NFS3, 4 and 5, because Romolo Di Prisco, Saki Kaskas & co. Just can't get around those. But if I'd have to mention something else: Olof Gustafsson
