This is the family's BMW E90 320i. Bought it on last year's September for SGD$139,000 (US$69,000).

No mods yet, since we're planning to buy another larger car, like the Volkswagen Touareg or an Audi Q7, in a few months' time.

Here are the pics!

$69,000! in the US they are like $40,000, but nice car

we can't actually get the 2.0 over here, the smallest engine we can get in the 3 series is the 2.8, which, as he said, is $33,000 (starting price, no options).

Makes no sense to me why you guys are paying more money for a smaller engine, they are ripping you off.

Yep, it's a nice car, and a reliable one at that too! So far, at 65,000km, nothing's broken and nothing feels like it's about to break anytime soon.

And another thing is, don't be fooled by the so-called complaints made agaisnt the hard suspension/ride of the car, caused by the runflats. If you live in a city with properly paved roads (i.e. Singapore), then the ride is most comfortable. It feels as though you're sitting inside an agile mosquito, you won't feel afraid when the car is making sudden maneuvers, because the car stays planted to the road.

To date, I'm really loving this car! :D

Haha, good luck getting your family to do mods to your car.

Anyways; Hello Homer_Bart tis LeMans GTR!

Hello LeMans boy! :D

Nah, they won't mod it, since it doesn't make money $en$e to them. My dad says he'd rather save the money for a nicer car, probably a new M5/XF-R/Panamera in a year or 2

You're officially a certified weirdo, you know that? ;)

When have I said I am not weird? :p

I dont think that people understand the pricing of cars, the car price goes up and down because of the tax the car company has to pay on it, depending on the country. So he is not getting ripped off, thats just how much it costs in his country.

Well, in Singapore, there's a 100% import tax...

So that drive prices of things up quite a lot.

Still, the main reason for the skyhigh prices is due to the government. It wants people to take the nowhere-to-sit trains and take the snail-slow buses, and keep people/rust buckets/bangers/Datsuns away from hogging the road. It works, somehow, but not every system is perfect. The fact is, it's based on meritocracy, if you're rich, you can have any car you like. But if not, you can have the buses.
