It's been going on for ages, didn't think it was a big enough deal to make a thread about...

 

Anyway, yeah, I was gonna get one, but i've got an off-road 1/10 scale Kyosho DST with a 3cc engine in it, and that's pretty fun to drift in the dirt too, but the little nitro drift cars are pretty fun too, they handle quite strange though. Not worth the money they cost though IMO.

I have a mini-z AWD to drift with, i think these guys use the same as me. AWD and plastic tires... not sure, its not the same kind of cars..

take it from somebody who has one of these, among others, this hobby is a money pit, sure its cheaper then the real thing but you can spend some serious money on these i had a RC drifter and it was fun but due to i had not enough places to run it, and it wasn't getting used enough i sold mine for £300 (about 700 Aus dollars) and i moved onto proper Nitro Rc Racing, which i can tell you i even more expensive

I own a single Nitro RC that I use for drifting and racing proper circuits. For the model I have there is an optional drift kit that you can install that can instantly change your car from grip to drift.

Its all in pieces. Engine is out, chassis needs replacing, and all new carbon fiber and aluminum parts are going on to replace the plastics.
