Assetto Corsa Competizione Kunos Simulazioni told us last week to watch out for today and the reason for that has been revealed, with the announcement of Assetto Corsa Competizione. First off, this isn’t a sequel, so it’s not Assetto Corsa 2, it’s actually a more evolved spin-off, and the reason for this is that ACC is the official game of the Blancpain GT Series. A series that is incredible to watch, featuring popular Ferrari, McLaren, Lamborghini, Audi, and other supercars, kitted out in GT3 racing guise, battling hard against one another, often at high speeds. Only announced for a summer release on Steam Early Access right now, ACC looks like it might follow on in the same vein as the original. Although hopefully because of the popularity of Assetto Corsa, the take up will be so rapid that a console version will be announced shortly thereafter. Wait... it’s not a sequel? Looking at the announcement trailer it would be easy to believe that this could be a sequel, but it’s not, and even though it now uses Unreal Engine 4 which delivers vastly improved visuals and effects, has day to night transitions, weather, and will use motion capture technology to create new animations of drivers and the mechanics in order to produce an accurate sense of being a part of the race, this is still not a direct AC sequel. Featuring an extraordinary level of simulation quality that allows players to experience the unique atmosphere of this GT3 Series, players can compete against official drivers, teams, cars and circuits with the highest level of accuracy and attention to detail. In fact like the very start of the video says, this game is all about getting back to the core of racing, and as you would expect of a title being “official”, the drivers, teams, cars and circuits of the Blancpain series will feature. There will even be driver changes! Motion capture technology is used to create the animations of mechanics and drivers in an even more realistic fashion and guarantee a high level of player engagement during races, pit stops and driver changes. Racing real people? Of course, in fact there will be an even better multiplayer portion to ACC including a driver ranking system like that found in iRacing and Gran Turismo Sport. Anything that inspires good clean fights up (or down) the grid together with fair competition, is fine by us! All in all this is a direction many probably never saw coming for the next AC, but it won’t I suspect be an unwanted one, and we are only at the very beginning of learning all about it anyway, so let's see what further information comes out before we make up our minds. Forza Motorsport 7 February Car Pack The next seven-car pack for Forza Motorsport 7 is available to download now and included within it is the technically impressive showpiece, Bugatti Chiron. Arriving along with a stacked February update, the ‘Dell Gaming Car Pack’ includes a majority modern flavour of vehicles in its line-up, with only a late-60s Holden Monaro on hand to keep the youngsters in check. As stated in the intro, the latest crazy-speed-luxor-barge Bugatti – which is electronically-limited to 261 mph (spoilsports!) – has been one of the most requested cars from Forza fans and is unashamedly the main focus of this new DLC. Which should come as no surprise really, as let’s face it, the big Bug is very likely to be the main draw for a majority of those who actually purchase the pack. [gallery size=small-post-image" link="file" ids="7722,7728,7729,7724,7726,7727] Others worth mentioning are the 2018 Kia Stinger, a RWD twin-turbo V6 performance vehicle, and the 2017 Aston Martin Racing V12 Vantage GT3. The remaining quintet can be seen in the list below. Forza 7 – Dell Gaming Car Pack 2016 Audi #17 Rotek Racing TT RS 2017 Aston Martin Racing V12 Vantage GT3 #7 2018 Bugatti Chiron 2018 Dodge Durango SRT 1968 Holden HK Monaro GTS 327 2018 Kia Stinger 2017 Ram 2500 Power Wagon [gallery columns=1" size="small-post-image" link="file" type="rectangular" ids="7723,7725] The Forza Motorsport 7 'Dell Gaming Car Pack' is available as a part of the Car Pass or as a standalone purchase.

Assetto Corsa Ultimate Edition Announced As the Bonus Pack 3 content pack starts to arrive on console – starting first with the PS4 only days ago – comes the announcement of a brand new Assetto Corsa Ultimate Edition, a complete package containing everything that has come to the acclaimed simulation racer since its launch. That means all the premium packs such as the Red Pack, Japanese Pack, the trio of Porsche Packs, Ferrari 70th Anniversary and the others, along with all the free Bonus Packs and content that has landed over its time, helps take the total amount of content to 178 cars and 16 circuits with 33 track configurations: including real-world legends such as Spa, Laguna Seca and Nürburgring, with fantasy tracks Black Cat County and Highlands mingling in. No doubt a final farewell to the original game, and a good way to entice those who never jumped in to see just what they have been missing, the Ultimate Edition is out for PS4 and Xbox One on April 20th. Setting up those who like what they see, to keenly watch whatever is next to come from the Kunos development team. Awesome to see a developer use the ‘Ultimate Edition’ label and actually mean it. The End of Assetto Corsa? Presumably, this signals the end of support for the original AC by Kunos, as only minutes after revealing this did they tease that “something big is going to happen” on February 21st, together with a hint that it would be a good idea to watch the official site. Is the next Assetto Corsa game announcement less than a week away? Well, I guess we’ll know this time next week. [via Assetto Corsa Official]

[HEADLINE]February 15th Maintenance[/HEADLINE] Hey all, we have some major maintenance planned for Feb 15th. This involves a lot of different items and so there is no real time limit we can confidently announce as for how long it will take to complete but at most we are hoping for less than 12 hours. For the duration of this you will receive a Maintenance Page in place of our site or forum and also you may experience server errors, or even the inability to connect, as updates and upgrades are performed that might require a server reboot. :warnsaw: I will do my best to post information and current progress on our twitter and facebook, throughout. Feel free to wish me luck! Thanks!

Assetto Corsa Bonus Pack 3 Out For PS4 Players of Assetto Corsa on PS4 can now go and experience the incredible Bonus Pack 3 content pack as part of the new 1.17 update. Xbox One racers unfortunately need to wait that little bit longer for theirs. (but they should be used to that by now :p) Despite taking close to two months more to land on console compared to that of PC, this generous gift from developers Kunos Simulazioni is one that has been well worth waiting for, as even though it is a free pack, the content included is in no way befitting of its zero cost price tag. For starters a fully laser-scanned recreation of the notorious Laguna Seca race track is the given circuit, and considering this could be seen to be good enough in most freebie cases that expectations could be lowered in regards to the cars... well that’s not the case here as every single one of the seven are quite simply remarkable in some way. In fact, it wouldn’t be surprising to see other games distribute them as star cars in at least two premium packs with filler vehicles making up the numbers. Funnily enough, with Laguna being a pride of the USA racing circuit, all of the cars are in fact Italian, featuring the four famous marques of Alfa Romeo, Lamborghini, Maserati and Pagani. All of which are listed below. Bonus Pack 3 – Cars Alfa Romeo 33 Stradale Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio Lamborghini Huràcan Performante Lamborghini Sesto Elemento Maserati Alfieri Concept Maserati Quattroporte Pagani Huayra BC CAUTION!! It should be noted however, that there have been reports of some bugs and issues with this update causing crashes. Kunos are aware and working on a fix but it may be a good idea to watch their social channels and forum for more information in regards to this.

Project CARS 2 - Porsche Legends Pack The ‘Porsche Legends Pack’ for Project CARS 2 has been announced for an “early March” release by Slightly Mad Studios. Timed nicely to celebrate the German automaker’s 70th anniversary, the pack is set to contain nine of Porsche’s finest that have been hand-picked from its impressive seventy-year history since the iconic Porsche 356 first arrived back in 1948, together with a new “FIA-certified” track to conquer – one, that is “intimately associated” with Porsche no less, and where its inclusion will be a “first in any simulated racing game”. (Hmmm?) A couple of those legends are already confirmed in the official release. The latest 2017 911 RSR GT-racer – that appears to be making its way into almost every circuit racing game – is naturally in, along with the absolutely insane (1200bhp!!) 1972 917/10, which enthusiasts may also know as, the "Can-Am Killer". Other content includes 20 liveries, nine community events and five new careers that have been crafted towards the Porsche experience. [via Slightly Mad Studios]

GT Sport Receives Ten Awesome Cars And Monza! The full details of the 10 cars that will be arriving in GT Sport in an update this week have been revealed, and so to has the surprise bundling in of the Monza racetrack with it! And even though we sort of worked out the majority of the cars that were in the image posted on twitter by Kazunori Yamauchi last weekend, there were a few we either weren’t sure about or just didn’t know, but now with the trailer below and the accompanying stunning images, the complete list to come, and a look at their incredible in-game recreations, are available for us to behold. (that Diablo GT!!) Avid fans of Gran Turismo will recognise that all of these are returning cars and have been in past releases, however, unlike some other games out there, Polyphony Digital will go to extraordinary levels when bringing the next generation of car models to their latest. And as annoying as it can be to hear about how long it takes to do this, the final result can not be dismissed. [gallery link=file" columns="2" size="small-post-image" ids="7657,7658,7659,7660] GT Sport January Update DLC Cars 2002 Dodge Viper GTS (N500) 1967 Ferrari 330 P4 (Gr.X) 1976 Ferrari 512BB (N400) 2006 Ford GT (N600) 1966 Jaguar XJ13 (Gr.X) 2000 Lamborghini Diablo GT (N600) 1994 McLaren F1 (N600) 1967 Toyota 2000GT (N200) 2014 Toyota FT-1 (N500) 1997 Toyota Supra RZ (N300) GT Sport Gets A New Track! As if the selection of metal being delivered in this update, which is out today, wasn’t enough, there is also the inclusion of the Monza circuit in two configurations for players to test them out on. And with a number of these vehicles being able to hit some high speeds, Monza is as good a place as any to really see what sort of numbers they can put out! [gallery columns=2" size="small-post-image" link="file" ids="7653,7654,7655,7656] A real fan favourite because of its high-speed nature and its somewhat easy to remember layout, the track is a lot more demanding than it looks. Many of us have no doubt come undone by not braking in time at the first chicane, or have put a wheel or two into the gravel and been dragged off at the final turn. It may be cliché, but Monza is most definitely one circuit that is ‘easy to learn, hard to master’. Extra Layouts for Autodrome Lago Maggiore There’s more racing lines to be learned in the way of three new additional layouts for the fictional Maggiore, with Centre, East and West in both regular and reverse versions being added. Increase in ‘GT League’ Events Four new events will also make their way into the single-player career mode of ‘GT League’, something fans will be delighted to see as the initial offerings have probably already been beaten several times by them. Wow, I did not see that happening after all the specified dimensions and such I made sure were put in. This looks like the third-party advertiser hasn't vetted properly. @Djey See the top image showing the 'Ad closed by Google' did that happen automatically or did you do it? I know Google is getting ready for the roll out of the ad blocker in Chrome in their drive to adhere to the Better Ads Standard next month which is why I ask. I will add a definite declaration to the ad containers to make sure they do not overlay what they should. You may need to refresh or even clear your browser cache for the file updates to take. Really appreciate you bringing this to my attention Djey, thanks!

Hey Speeder, this is all sounding good and I wish you the best of luck with it. As you said, it's a big challenge to take on yourself or as part of a small team but if there is one you have proven, it is that you can make good on whatever you put your mind to.

More GT Sport DLC Cars In January A second lot of DLC cars are dropping into Gran Turismo Sport next week, according to a tweet from series supremo Kazunori Yamauchi. Sticking to their plan to add "approximately 50 cars" before March 2018, this second release carries on the immense good will of the initial 3 and 12 cars that arrived in two separate updates at the end of last year, with this further ten incoming taking us to the half-way point of that goal. What cars are coming this time? Just like before, a number of the vehicles to be included are player favourites, with some that were staunchly missed from the very beginning. This, along with other factors, gave the game a somewhat slow start, but recently they have been turning GT Sport into a must have title for racing fans on PlayStation 4. The tweet itself also included an image with silhouettes of the cars slightly distorted. And even though they’re like that, we can somewhat confidently identify a fair few of them such as the: Ferrari 330 P4, Jaguar XJ-13, Ford GT40, Dodge Viper, Lamborghini Diablo, ...and a Toyota Supra. [caption id=attachment_7641" align="aligncenter" width="800] Now this is a damn fine selection of cars.[/caption] That last one is surprising, especially when you consider that Toyota road cars have been missing from all the main racing games. (has GT Sport got exclusivity???) Speculations at those that remain are out there and you can make up your own minds and hazard a guess at them if you want. (I’m thinking like others that the third from left in row 2 is the McLaren F1) We don’t know the day of next week the update will land, but at least it isn’t going to be too long a wait. UPDATE: 'Torak' the Wolf has been captured safely and returned back. Berkshire wolf captured after six hours on the loose - BBC News ORIGINAL: Some fallen trees, maybe some tiles blown off the roof. These are the things you tend to associate when high winds hit an area, but like many movies have tried to warn us, wild animals can escape too, and in Reading it's a Wolf that's on the loose. Residents are being urged not to approach it for obvious reasons and a nearby Primary School has a police presence and the kids are being kept inside. The aim is to tag the animal with a tracker so they can monitor it closely before eventually hitting it with a tranquilliser and returning it back. Awesome shots of the BMW on Le Mans. Not big on the colour of your 911 but I love that car so much that I can overlook it... just. :p As for the Veloster, it's not a bad looking car now is it.

Forza 7 January Car Pack The first Forza Motorsport 7 Car Pack for 2018 has been a closely-guarded secret (for some reason) but thanks to eagle-eyed observers we look to now know what it will have. Following on from the official announcement of the two free Hyundai from yesterday, the next car pack for FM7, apparently called the ‘Totino’s Car Pack’, follows the usual flavour of including seven cars and this latest batch is another that are ‘new to Forza’. Whether that is exciting or not for you will depend on how you react to the cars themselves. Speaking of which, that info is now showing on the Microsoft Store, and taking pride of place in its main image is the Lotus Elise GT1. Now if memory serves me correctly, this was in the early Gran Turismo games (sorry to bring GT up) and is an exceptional handling car, however it still requires to be treated with care and respect when driven to the limit. [gallery link=file" size="small-post-image" columns="2" ids="7634,7635,7636,7637] From the list below you can see that there is yet again a mixture on offer, with close to half of the pack being taken up by late-60s era models from Nissan, VW and Subaru, along with a novelty throw in of the iconic Citroen 2CV. The latter of which just might surprise you with how fun it is stock, or alternatively go all out and see how ludicrous you can make it through performance tuning. Forza Motorsport 7: 'Totino's Car Pack' 2017 BMW #24 BMW Team RLL M6 GTLM 1997 Lotus Elise GT1 1993 Porsche 911 Turbo S Leichtbau 1970 Citroen 2CV 1968 Subaru 360 1967 Volkswagen Type 3 1600 L 1967 Nissan R380 II When you look at the contents, it might not seem too special, maybe even a bit disappointing, but that R380 is no snail, the Porsche (964) can help you become a Bad Boy (or Girl), and the BMW M6 will tickle anyone who enjoys their GT racing. [caption id=attachment_7633" align="aligncenter" width="800] UNLEASH THE BEAST!![/caption] Hopefully it shouldn't be too long before the switch is flicked and the official announcement and media is unleashed! It's OUT NOW! The Forza Motorsport 7 ‘Totino’s Car Pack’ will be available for Xbox One and PC as an included part of the ‘Car Season Pass’ or as a standalone purchase from the relevant stores. UPDATE #1: 16/1/18 16:23 PM GMT - Official trailer and images added
