  1. It has to be the Aston. I am also starting to realise just how much I love a good detail shot and the detail that gets into put the wheels and what's behind them these days.
  2. OZ ABOUT THAT THEN! It looks like Playground Games and Turn 10 are onto an absolute winner with Forza Horizon 3 as when the reviews came flooding in they were mainly all glowing. Running at a MIGHTY 90 in the superior Opencritic scoring and currently sitting with a 91 at Metacritic, the game looks to have done everything the previous instalments did so well and expanded on those areas the fans wanted seen to. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vD1ccSM9qiA Bigger environment is a check, wide-body kits is a check, better campaign progression is a check and the main one of all – having a Reliant 3-wheeler in the game gets the biggest tick of them all! Throw in the supremely creative 'Drone' mode and you got a studio that not only looks at what their players want, but has a look around at the world and considers what they might ask for next. Early media from those lucky enough to have gotten their hands on the game is looking incredible and the impressions, well they cannot help but rave about it. As a racing game mental case, I have always seen the Forza games as the Xbox system seller, and now for the first time for the 'Horizon' series, the game will also be available for those PC fellows and lassies by way of Windows 10. Not only that, buy the ‘Play Anywhere’ Digital Edition and the game will be available on both platforms for the one price. Going that route however will mean losing out on a physical plastic case so that might be a problem for the hoarders or those who emphatically like to fill shelves. Looking like one of the best racers ever those with pre-orders are set for a fun (clean) time and those sitting on the fence have probably had their doubts taken away with the landslide of review media now out there. The only ones who really have a tough choice to face are those who want the game but either don't have an Xbox One, or will need to upgrade their system in order to play it. Now that's a doozy! Forza Horizon 3 - Review round-up The following reviews are for the Xbox One version Opencritic | Metacritic evo - No score just a damn fine write-up from the car people. GamesRadar - 4/5 Eurogamer - No score, just an informative read USgamer - 5/5 Destructoid - 9/10 Videogamer - No score (waiting for online play before scoring) TechRadar - Play It Now! Trusted Reviews - 5/5 Expert Reviews - 5/5 Of course there are your usual outlets such as IGN, GameSpot and others but the above are ones I personally look to more than those. Hell the evo one alone would be enough to sell us on the game! A little addition from myself: It's not hard to see that we are big Test Drive Unlimited fans here at turboduck and it seems kind of fitting that the game which released in 2006 and received a lot of adoration from fans of the driving and racing genre for what it offered is, 10 years later, about to see a title do the same thing and on those exact same platforms too. Seems nuts it took this long but it just goes to show how ahead of its time the original TDU really was. Some got close, but they fell short in some ways but Horizon 3 looks set to do it. Just hope the next one to carry it on isn't until 2026!! Excited for Forza Horizon 3? Got your pre-load already under way and just waiting for the day you can start playing? Looking for a place that enjoys their driving and racing games and enjoys sharing their media and opinions about them? Well come on in and join us on the forums and enjoy the warm laid-back and slightly insane community that we are known for, here at turboduck.
  3. The game is reviewing extremely well and nVidia put out new drivers that Gamersyde have seen make a real improvement on the performance and stability of their setup. I think I read that AMD will be doing the same. I posted an Xbox One review round-up just now.
  4. If you could provide more info about your system specifications and OS it would be a good starting point. :)
  5. It just seems more of the same and the apparent floating on the track is a strange one to allow to be seen and makes the need for the delay even more understandable. What have PD been doing all this time really?
  6. Are you guys signed into a Google account at all? Wait can check this for myself with Incognito... nope not that then. Have you annoyed Google in some way guys? :para:
  7. That's awesome and something I didn't really expect to see in this contest. Nice thinking outside the normal Michael. :p
  8. GT Sporting more of the same? The Tokyo Game Show (TGS) took place last week and Polyphony Digital was there with Gran Turismo Sport and thanks to the top gaming media site Gamersyde, we have lots of off-screen footage. With varying levels of competency on display from those sitting in front of the wheel we can see that the visuals are looking rather nice. Nothing unusual in that as this is a GT title after all. The HUD looks to have been given another couple of changes in places and not knowing the language the GUI is in, there is a part where the car you have chosen is shown from different views while technical details fade in via varying transitions too. Perhaps a way of displaying the selected vehicle's data or maybe a loading screen? Out of the videos by Gamersyde from their channel and available at their site in full-quality (and when available at 60 fps!) the following is our pick that we feel show the game off fairly well and is accompanied by – mostly – competent driving. In the above video where the player is running a race on an Oval, we see that the game appears to be running fairly smooth but that the typical GT tyre sound, collision physics and maybe even the AI keeps on with the usual. Why these areas hardly seem to get the attention the GT fan base shouts out for is a hard one to reason. Up next is a medium-speed affair around Brands Hatch GP circuit, where the driver at least appears to want to win by doing their best to race clean and keep good lines through the corners. It might just be a trick of the shadowing but at times to us it looked like some of the cars were floating, especially at the front and do not seem to have their wheels planted on the tarmac. You may not notice this however as the sun reflecting off the windows and bodywork may have temporarily blinded you. The final pick of the media on offer is an attempt at the fictional Fisherman’s Ranch rally track. Featuring plenty of bumps and sections where the rear of your car will peel out regardless of whether you meant to or not. We see our Japanese friend doing their best to keep the car pointing forward as they tackle what is looking to be a tricky course, though the flimsy looking yet impenetrable orange surrounding does seem a bit dated. With the delay to 2017 we hope PD really look at some of what the competition offer and aim to replicate it. Gamersyde offer all of the above videos and the rest of their media in full-quality downloads and when available at 60 fps too. Be sure to add them to your bookmarks if you don’t already!
  9. Turn 10 are streaming the full game right now: Twitch and Beam | Interactive Livestreaming

  11. [headline]the banner contest #77[/headline] http://turboduck.net/img/tbc/tbc.jpg[/img] It was yet again another share of the spoils in the last contest 'tbc' #76, the lucky two to do it were Bozickovic with his snow-covered backdrop with a Murcielago SV in front from The Crew and carlos_69 with another Lamborghini, this time a Diablo, but the car is easily overshadowed with the stunning view behind it, taken in DRIVECLUB. With quite a tough theme and some fantastic entries it was a close run all the way through and it could have even been a trio as RobikV3 was only a vote behind when the poll closed! Themes: Hypercars in the Night | British Cars in the Rain Deadline: Sun 25th September, 2016 - Entries | Sun 9th October, 2016 - Votes PRIZE The winning entry or entries will be posted up on our community forum banner and if large enough will also be put on our social channels too. 12. Yeah that was one that got me too. [spoil]It was the Scooby and the Renault that tripped me up. I was going to go for the 22B too but felt it looked newer and ignored my gut.[/spoil]
  13. Well sir I doff my cap to you as I thought 3 were especially a tricky choice between 2 of the options. :tipshat:
  14. [headline]Fun Quizzes For the Car Fan![/headline] In this thread we post links to quizzes on the internet that are geared towards your typical car fanatic and enthusiast. Some will be easy and others will be more difficult. Try not to use Google and co to help you out too much as it distorts your actual result. Latest added at top: (not necessarily the newest) After testing your knowledge with what you know about the headlights on the front of car, this time it's time to jump to the back and see how well you know your pipes! It's all about which exhaust belongs to what in this one! Can you name all these rare Porsches for sale? | Top Gear 11/13 - go slow or you can make at least one stupid mistake like I did. :fp: Exhaust quiz: Can you guess all of these cars? | Classic and Performance Car 7/10 AGAIN! – I am Mr slightly above average! Gone but not forgotten. Pop-up headlights were featured on some truly iconic cars and this quiz will show if you remember them. Cars with pop-up headlights: Can you name them all? | Classic and Performance Car 10/10 yeah! Got lucky on 2 for sure. Was a 50/50 choice and went the right way fortunately. :) You have got to be kidding me with some of these, *ach* so bad. Anyway see how you do in working out what curves, motorsport gubbins and markings are from what car. Special edition cars: can you name them all? | Classic and Performance Car 5/10 I will readily but ashamedly admit to getting. A fairly easy one this one though there may be a few that you might trip up on. ;) How many of these supercars can you identify? | Classic and Performance Car 12/12 :happyroll: This had Hard in brackets for a reason as think before you click. Very cleverly put together though some of the image give a few away if you look for the obvious signs. :hmmm: Supercar quiz: Can you name all of these supercars? (Hard) | Classic and Performance Car 9/12 with this one at my end. To be honest the C&PC site puts together some damn fine car quizzes and here is another one where it's all about what car is the R badge on. I'll be very impressed if you nail this one. Can you identify these cars from the R badge? | Classic and Performance Car 5/10 but should have been another 7/10. ALWAYS GO WITH YOUR GUT!! Another taxing little quiz from Classic & Performance Car. This time they want you to guess the cars from the vent scoop or air duct. QUIZ: Can you name the car from the vent, scoop or duct? | Classic and Performance Car I got 7/10 again! Glad to have nailed #7 though. :p Awesome little quiz by Classic & Performance Car where they show you 10 images of rear wings from cars of many guises and you need to select the answer. The verification is immediate too, so as you make your choice you will know if you were right or not. It's a tricky set too and I will be mighty impressed if many of you get a clean sweep without cheating. :susp: Rear wing quiz: can you identify these cars? | Classic and Performance Car I got 7/10 but on 2 the right answer was the other one I was deciding between. :sulk:
  15. Congratulations to Bozickovic and carlos_69 on coming joint top as winners in 'tbc' #76!! Unlucky to Robik who was only 1 vote away from making it a trifecta for the win. Please PM myself or reply in here with the theme you each would like to use for the next contest. Notices: * Ryzza5 is disqualified due to not voting in the poll
  16. Want some cream? :homer: The older episodes are so good and have so much heart and proper stories. When they started going more into indulging celebs that's when it started to go down the crapper. Also I recently learned that Hank Scorpio was the original idea for the villain in The Simpson Movie.
  17. //mod edit: thread moved Hi there Lonewolf, the TDU sections (along with others from the past) have been archived as we moved from a forum structure to a prefix one. We know TDU is still popular and so discussion pertaining to it should be done in this Racing Games forum. The new Let's Race sub-forum was created for exactly what you are asking; it is a place where members can post threads for meets and races in Forza, Assetto Corsa and such as well as cruises for games like TDU, The Crew etc. The prefix for TDU was Archived as we didn't see it being used much as TDU topics rarely occur outside the Mod Shop, but if it looks like people still want to actively discuss it, then by all means we will bring its prefix back into normal selection. :D
  18. That is a beaut indeed. Very nicely styled too and I like your colour choice on body and rims.
  19. Good trailer, certainly contained everything you would expect from the trio and the production team.
