1. the .dwg file is in the attachments (and needs to get converted into 3DD or 3DS or I Don't Know Exactly THE FILE FORMAT, but it is Not Just About File Format, it's Not About Some Extra Modifying, but I Really Don't Know HOW TO CONVERT TO TDU, I've Tried, that's why I ask somebody else, if he / she wants, of course) those rims are just for me, I don't want to post them somewhere else, and : I don't want to do any other rims for tdu, I want just these rims for any car type, because these rims have the perfect balance between elegance and coolness (but of course : who wants the rims can ask me for them) and : some advices about how to install 3ds max (which seems to be the only way of converting .dwg files to .3ds) would be great, it's not easy for me installing programs (I'm not that great in computer usage, because I don't have enough experience, for some programs, for example I needed help to install Autocad, I didn't installed it by myself)
2. CATIA & SketchBook Pro 3D MODELLING PROGRAMS have A Kind of "Digital Pen", offering Maximum of "3D Manipulation" ! The Only PROBLEMS can be : the Lack of HAND DRAWING SKILLS or Maybe NOT THE RIGHT FILE FORMATS . . . . . . .
3. I have a question : THE ONLY THING I (Really) Need is THE "NOT FREE" *ACTIVATION KEY* ? ? ? in rest : I Will NOT Have ANY OTHER PROBLEMS ? I've tried Sooo Many Times TO INSTALL THIS GAME, and Every Time IT DIDN'T WORKED ! ! ! :( :( :( so : I've used TDU1, in stead of City Car Driving :( TDU1 is Pretty Good (ESPECIALLY IF You Use TDU Performance Editor), but Not as Great as City Car Driving
4. I see, thanks for information ! so : just a 3D Model is not enough for TDU Modding, you need The Right Poly / Resolution for TDU (which requires a lot of work and skill) ... I understand now why it's not possible all the time to do any car you want unfortunately TDU has Difficult Modding, which is not specific for Probably THE BEST Game ever (besides Difficult Car Modding, the Engine Sound Modding also requires a lot of work, for example : City Car Driving or 3D Instructor have much better Engine Sounds, for example, probably using stereo format, and not mono as TDU Engine Sounds has, and this game is not as realistic as TDU, especially the direction)
5. http://3dbar.net/?p=4759 (this is a Free to Download 3D Car Model, made in 3DS Max) I wonder why modders just don't search for Free & Already Made 3D Car Models on internet ? I think the people who post Free 3D Car Models *don't care that their free models will be used by others* (otherwise : they would never post their work on internet, absolutely for free) why should work too much ? in stead of just modifying a little bit the Free & Already Made 3D Car Models ? maybe some modders already do this, but it seems that most of modders don't do this at all
6. yeah, the old Audi RS6 Petrol sound was not that heavy, but look this Audi RS6 Heavy Petrol sound from this game : , it is Much More "Muscular" (or any other petrol sound which sounds really "muscular", petrol engine sounds with a lot of torque) or this Mercedes G Class sound (from the same game) :
7. do a heavy petrol engine sound (especially Audi A6 / S6 / RS6, no matter), I would do it also, but you can do it better than me (do it because there are not anymore the "old" already made RS6 Sounds), I like heavy engine sounds (no matter their type)
8. reinstall the game, don't modify the names anymore, and : use *a different "magic map" (the "Bnk1.map" file)*, try Magic Map v1.1, or try a different one download the game from another source you did first time, or maybe a Windows reinstalling will fix this problem
9. this happens to me in 99% of cases, so : I write the physics by my own (I don't even import the physics and picture them, but that's because I like to write them by my own, and because I didn't used any already made physics : I've learned how to do my own physics) it's not that difficult, you need just some time for practice (and to know every characteristic, but there are not difficult) if you will decide to write your own physics, look those physics, as an example : no matter if the physics are realistic or not, the most important is to get used with them (but of course : some physics have real advantages, comparing to others, and the best part of my physics is : very easy handling [because of just 50 units of acceleration, big downforce and small drag, and several other reasons], strong acceleration [even though the acceleration is set only at 50], but there are not realistic enough) hopefully those physics will work for you, if not : do physics by your own (and : I think that some computers, or some versions of this game don't support physics importing, or : your tdupe version cannot import physics made by other tdupe versions, I wonder why this problem was not "debated" before)
10. definitely . . . I've started to use AutoCAD since 1 month ago (at university), I work on 3d also (even though I will learn 3d stuff next semester), but : 3d modelling is really hard, comparing to 2d : 3d is totally more difficult (especially if you don't know the right commands and the right way to use them, I think that the best tdu modders or 3d modellers do 3d models in the fastest and most efficient way possible, with minimum of commands) now I can do 3d models for rims pretty easy [thankfully : I've learned quite fast many of the most important 2d commands, plus the extrude & press/pull commands for 3d), but I still have to improve my skills even at this "amateur" 2d level by the way : this is the rim style I like the most (I've got tired of any other rims [i mean only for elegant or sporty sedans], but for fast cars I like any kind of rims with more than 6 spokes)
11. aha, I see now, 3DS Max has the advantage to use already made 3d models in AutoCAD (and being quite easy to convert AutoCAD dwg format to 3DS format), but : I don't see the connection between 3DS format and 3DD or 3DG (the only formats from TDU, there is no 3DS format in TDU) : there are the same (compatible to each other) ? or : 3DS must be converted to 3DD or 3DG ?
12. what program you use for 3D Modelling ? ZModeller ? 3D Blender ? or something else ?
13. I had just gave you a similar example of "problems which many other people don't have them"
14. I recommend you to use tdupe 2.75 or 2.5, I think this will definitely work (look here the link : or maybe you have a different version of tdupe, than the version used by that persons who made the physics kit for your car absolutely every time when I import physics the game gets crash and has to be reinstalled again so : you better write the performance characteristics by your own, I suggest you to import the physics, but not to save the car, and to print screen the physics characteristics, to write them by your own (FN + PRTSC or Control + Print Screen) and : since beginning of using tdupe I've decided to make my own physics, and after several months I have started to do better and better physics (and : most of other physics I don't like, I am not used with them [especially with the handling characteristics])
15. I have a similar problem *which nobody reported it before*, even though I have the last version of Audacity (2.0.4), when I export microsoft adpcm mono format, for engine sound, the sound sample gets an extra silent sequence (sound gap) . . . this is an example of "problem which nobody reported it before", there are so annoying for people who have those problems . . . and maybe you can suggest me an idea, if you want (and if you know)
16. look in this picture : even though I set the sound at exactly 4 seconds, it still creates an extra little silent part of it ! ! ! =))) I wonder why . . .
17. this mod slows the game (if you don't have good enough video card) ?
18. another version (3rd) : more juicy, better revs, almost seamless (most of times, it should be.........) [who knows how do eliminate that sound gaps please give me a suggestion, I have tried many really logical methods to remove that sound gaps]
19. that looks like an s.u.v. for me, or an older car
20. I've tried everything to eliminate the time gaps, not even the hints from youtube . . . everything I do doesn't work I have faded in and out the smallest sound parts from the beginning and the end of the sounds, to make it to get connected properly . . . I'd inverted the second half of the sound, to be seamless (but it is useless)
21. wow ! this Mercedes 190E appeared pretty fast ;)
22. thanks ! yes, there are still several things to be improved, but this is the best quality I've found (it can be better, especially if I have the luck to record by myself the sound of the car, but : that is lottery luck, or maybe not)
23. 2nd Version added : with more realistic low and mid samples (with bigger frequency), and better edited high sample
