Sounds to me you're not interested in doing anything here except complaining and making excuses (for the good of the community ofc).

TDU Iceman reacted to Speeder in TDU World Editor
View File TDU World Editor
Introduction
After editing by hand some sectors for the next update of Project Paradise, I thought it could be nice to create a proper map editor for TDU. After all, that's the only part of the game which has never been modded before. 🙂 (and yes, next pp update should come soon, so less pm spam everyone thanks)
Description
Even if it's called "Editor", this tool is a toolbox to export your files in your favorite 3D editor (maya, 3DS max, blender,... any editor as long as it's compatible with .obj) and obviously do the opposite. 😛
This choice as been made simply because I didn't want to make the usage of a cheap and badly written 3D editor an obligation. 😄
.obj has a pretty basic structure making easy to build an object from nothing.
Features
Heightmap Creation/Import/Export Material Editor World Objects Creation/Import/Export Road Collision Support (Havok *-R.shk) World Collision Support (Havok *.shk) Entities Management Soundscape Edition Wire Editor Map Network Editor Security Ramp Editor
Green: done / almost done
Orange: in progress
Brown: just started / researches
Red: todo
Screenshots
Terrain Edition
Fast and clean heightmap edition (note: only the Y-axis is used by the game)
Untextured/Textured heightmap
World Object Edition
Imported Untextured Object from a *-O.3DG (some oil station)
Imported Road Network from a -O.3DG with a bit of Havok vertex (yellow dots)
Terrain, world objects, havok collision mesh
Havok Mesh in Editor, Havok Mesh Exported to TDU (early test)
Custom low poly mesh (edited plane) exported as Havok Collision Mesh
World Object Import (W.I.P.)
World Objects with custom pivot point
Basic Material Editor
Changelog
Objects Import/Export UI update Now using collada Complete and detailed user guide inside the archive
I'll try to keep the thread updated as often as I can.
Opened to suggestions / Q&A / testing (dont ask for that yet :cheeky:) / ...

Hi
pic of WIP, materials from Database Editor . That's just a small sample of information backed in the colors.bnk file.
Could not test it yet, but I'm pretty sure one will be able to use any available material at any location (exterior, interior, calipers..).

TDU Iceman reacted to Milli in Sell cars in TDU
Inside your house, you can go to Trade -> Direct sell Don't use the feature where you choose the price, because it won't work.

TDU Iceman reacted to Eudemon in TurboDuck Modding update
The content is subject to change, see here for the latest info.
This update is focused on our core modding community, with another big update coming soon... stay tuned!
Download section enhancement
The goal here is to have a simplified layout that's organized and easy to access, instead of digging through multiple sections to find and/or post content.
* Forum categories now have been restructured to match file categories.
Topic creation has been disabled on all mod post forums. Instead, please submit your file through our download section.
You can choose to upload files to our server or submit a link.
* All topics that were moved now have tags referring to their previous sub-forum (i.e. interior, sound, physics).
We recommend you make use of the tagging system, which helps others discover your content.
* File Categories are restructured and the page will now show all sub-category files.
* Comments on files are removed; we recommend using the auto-generated forum thread for support.
* Old generated support topics will be merged with the original thread started by the author.
* Each support topic now has a button to the download page, featuring a new template.
* Each support topic's content won't get overwritten on file version updates. The author now auto-subscribes to it based on his/her control panel setting. Tags are still synchronised.
Wiki enhancement:
+ Added new guide / how-to wiki (open for all members to edit with stored revisions).
+ New listing and display style for News.
General improvements:
* Consolidated and added icons for menu items.
* General style update.
* Members will now be able to free up space by removing files directly from the attachment page.
* More sidebars are being added across the entire site, which display relevant info and enable quick access.
Also, in case you don't know yet, Test Drive Unlimited Platinum has a big update coming soon. Subscribe to its topic here.
VintayTime... (We are bringing more collaboration between the two sites in the future).

TDU Iceman reacted to Minime891 in Test Drive Unlimited 3 On the rails !
I do hope TDU3 comes. I've just installed TDU1 after months maybe even a year and love it just as much as the first time I played it.
It's got me wanting to make a mod.

TDU Iceman reacted to dragster666 in [RELEASED] Test Drive Unlimited Platinum - v1.21
A little bit offtopic here damn revisiting this game is so good remember playing this game on the PS2 the downgraded version of this game. And damn it's great. Compared to the horizon series this is miles ahead of it. Notably the safe houses in horizon i feel like a snob with just one same old boring warehouse and it gets boring pretty quick here in TDU i can buy 15 houses on the map and feel like the Sultan of Brunei sadly there isn't a house that can store 5000 cars but alright. And the overall game feeling feels better in TDU you can really feel owning the cars the only other series that can come close to owning cars similarly to TDU is the GT series. The only thing that i dislike about TDU 1 is that it doesn't have weather notably rain there was some concept art with thunderstorm but meh its still good without rain or even night lol. TDU 3 is in the works but i won't be planing to get it for a year since it will be exclusive to THAT damn store until it gets released to steam i'm not buying it lol.

TDU Iceman reacted to Djey in TDUF - Most advanced modding tools for TDU so far!
Thanks for the asset @Bakasan.
Anyway, thanks to Covid I now have time to rework some TDUF code for 1.13, fixing bugs and adding features!
I guess a search engine in the car physics data topic (and others) would be greatly appreciated, considering amount of data @Milli put into Platinum Database!
See you soon, and keep safe!

TDU Iceman reacted to Courius in Show us your vehicle
Hi! It's been a while since I posted something on turboduck last time... anyway, that's my car. Some may say it's a finacial mistake, but for me it's fulfilled dream and every day motivator. 🙂 Even if that car costs me a lot of money and sometimes also my nerves, I never regret owning her.
