  1. That's what windbreaks are for. :cheeky: If you have a windbreak and are a normal height that your hair is fine. It's only a problem if you're too tall(me >.<) or stick your head out on purpose because it's fun.
  2. MGF/TF. It makes sense. You love Rovers, they're cheap, cheap to insure and incredibly fun! You can't beat driving at night with the top down under a clear sky. :)
  3. At least you can batter all sorts of things. They can't! Now might be a time time to renew my speshul. :hmmm:
  4. Breaking the law already. *shakes head dissaprovingly* But congrats on your new found freedom!
  5. I'm just gonna drive around a big roundabout a few times just to confuse it.
  6. Pretty much yea. You can renew it up to a month early and it lasts for another year. I could only get mine booked in on the day my MOT ran out and the fog light problem happened the day before it ran out. Not enough time to fix it so now I can't drive it until I fix it sometime next week.
  7. They do work though. I just need to put the fuse in to turn them on and take it out to turn them off. The relay got stuck when they were turned on so now won't turn off, even when the dipped beams are off and the car is locked.
  8. Didn't manage to fix my car so it's now not got an MOT. :( Apparently, the lack of a working switch system for my rear fog lights means that my car is not road worthy and can't be driven in sunny weather. We've only had 1 day where the fog has been bad enough to warrant using fog lights this winter!
  9. At least they remember yours. :p :birthday:
  10. It was on/off sunny. It'd be a great pulling car if I needed it to be. :D
  11. The car park at my Tesco is underneath the building. Makes some cars sound lurvly. :D
  12. Took advantage of the nice sunny weather today and went for a spin with the top down. :) The car is just a tiny bit dirty...
  13. Looks expensive. Providing my car passes its MOT on Friday I'll be buying one of these: Probably with the oval tail pipe but I'm still undecided. :hmmh:
  14. I've driven a couple of diesels and I have to say that I still prefer petrols. Put your foot down a bit and it's already time to change gear. And I prefer the sound of petrol engines. Some diesels exhausts sound nice but not the actual engine that you hear when driving the tractor. There are quite a few positives to diesels though but none that I am really concerned about at the moment. I don't really do many miles each month nor do I need to tow anything yet. Plus, do anyone make a nice diesel soft top?
  15. Exactly what I was thinking. Not that BF is much better to be honest. Wonder how many were really stupid enough to sign out even after it asked them...
  16. Wish I'd done a speedtest in one of our DCs. 45Gb/s is not too shabby for an upload speed. I'd have a guess at the largest DC we have 100+ as there are 3 times more servers there.
  17. When I read he title I thought it was a night out in Glasgow gone wrong. :hmmm: But
  18. Make sure you have a wind deflector behind the seats! They don't like it when it's not there... Nice car though, looks very tidy. Shame it's not a rag top though. :cheeky:
  19. Finally got around to fitting my new glass rear screen to replace the cloudy broken perspex one. I can see behind me now! Also replaced the door speakers with the ones out of my Mini and it sounds epic now. And just went to Tesco for this.

Work has commenced! Albeit rather slowly. When the weather gets a bit better I'm dropping the front subframe and engine from the car. The only things holding the subframe and engine in now is the steering column, speedo cable and subframe mounts. All of which *should* be fairly easy to undo and remove. Along with painting the callipers(quick first coat, paint fumes will make me high if I do them both at once ) I'm also cleaning them before getting them sandblasted and painted. And I'm also going to do a full engine rebuild and rebore. If I'm finished this year I'll be surprised. >.<
