  1. Cool, although 2 hours in a truck is comparable to 30-45 mins in a supercar (comparing to a lap of O'ahu in TDU1) Let's hope it comes out (with TrackIR support) at least a few weeks before Forza Horizon.
  2. I'll give you a race one day, but hate the Caddy
  3. Deadline's about 12-13 hours away...
  4. TopGear USA never have proper plates :hmmm: Don't underestimate (or is it overestimate) the Americans, Hayley :cheeky:
  5. Games and sims for me are time-fillers so immediate entertainment is preferred, I never touch games focussing on economics.
  6. Same release day as Windows 8. Big day for Microsoft.
  7. Most Windows 8 partners today have released information on their upcoming Windows 8 dockable tablets (need to make up a word for this - laplet or tabtop?) Ignoring the fact they are running Windows 8, which design do you like the most? Which specification-class suits you best? Which would you be most likely to buy? So far there are these form factors: Laptop style (can be docked/separated) These will generally look like normal laptops (netbooks) except all the processing power will be behind the screen instead of under the keys (top-heavy?) while the keyboard will provide a few extra ports and in some cases extra battery juice. Microsoft Surface Pro (proper keyboard) & RT (soft keyboard) Asus Samsung See also: HP Slider (All in one) Toshiba and Sony have slightly different sliders, the Toshiba one giving more room for a bigger keyboard and touchpad, the Sony one including a touchball & digitizer (pen). Toshiba Satellite U925t Sony VAIO Duo 11 Dell XPS Duo 12 There are generally 3 classes available: "RT" tablets. Similar to existing Android and iOS tablets, these tablets will run on an ARM CPU, have great battery life, come with a decent edition of MS Office 2013 for free, and run a limited edition of Windows 8 (called Windows RT) similar to what you might expect on Windows Phone (just as Android and Apple tablets share their OS between phones and tablets with minor differences). These will be the cheapest as well, but their biggest limiting factor will be that they CAN'T run normal Windows *.exe programs. There is still however the normal Windows desktop available for managing files in Explorer, etc. The MS Surface RT fits into this class. Netbook equivalent These tablets will run the full Windows 8 OS on an Intel Atom CPU (similar to cheap netbooks like the Asus Eeeeeeeeeeee PC, MSI Wind, etc). Should cost a few hundred dollars depending on specs & ports, and should remain fairly light with good battery life, although each brand/model will probably vary to cater for different needs and price points. Resolution topping out at 1366x768 in most cases. Pro (Ultrabook equivalent) Running Windows 8 Pro on an Intel Core i3 or i5 CPU, these devices should do just about anything (maybe besides 3D gaming) and will be similar to today's Toshiba Portege R830, but downsides will include a ~$1000+ price tag, slightly heavier/bulkier footprint with fans/vents to keep temperatures under control. Good range of ports can be expected too. 1080p screens also common in this class. The Surface Pro fits in here.
  8. Well at least using session lists should be more reliable with less difficulty joining friends and less chance of dropping out.
  9. Video showing what happens when you're a moron who doesn't know how to drive properly. If you don't want to watch a first-person crash (don't worry not a big impact and no injuries) then don't watch this. If you like driving fast though, you should watch it. ^Remember kids, hold the wheel at 9 & 3'o-clock. Absolute fruitcake, didn't even try steering for that bend and hoping ESP would save him :fp: At least the airbag works
  10. Would Forza Horizon MP be session based like FM4 or perhaps like Burnout Paradise where a host chooses settings (in this case for damage), or would it be a MOOR like TDU where each player has his own settings (hardcore players struggled to stop noob players due to the difference in car weight)?
  11. Since both your usernames are car brands, and car makers are always 'borrowing ideas' from other cars when designing their next model
  12. Fiat borrowing ideas from Mercedes? There has to be a joke in there somewhere
  13. Ummm I remapped the ECU software from a local APR dealer (no physical chips or mods installed) back in December 2010, a few months after getting the Golf. Has always been that quick. ;)
  14. Didn't they mention that in an early interview? With ISR I think...
  15. Pig=Bacon unless you're a vet. :cheeky:
  16. Duhhh, where do think bacon comes from? :oook:
  17. Think we'll need to get the LCE since all these cars are so boring :p
  18. Was just thinking instead of wasting time with polls (since this comp isn't too serious) the winner will be the video with the most likes. You can only give one like, though, ok. (Use the unlike button if necessary). If multiple videos are that good just give private rep like in the old days. :wise: ---------- Post added at 09:35 AM ---------- Previous post was at 09:35 AM ---------- It was bound to be a fail, there was an Atari logo front and center
