  1. I'm nothing special, in fact - I'm a bit of a bore If I tell a joke, you've probably heard it before :D
  2. Yeah, all the ones starting with 'Ignore/Dismiss' :fp2:
  3. Look who figured out how to change tracks
  4. So are deadlocks and immobilizers ;)
  5. Umm yeah if I'm going to be spending 5 digits worth of my money on a car I'm not going to base it solely on the 5% of the time where I'm driving at its pinnacle, I'm going to go for the best all-round option. If I lived in Finland then maybe that would be a different story. I'm not trying to impress you or anyone else who loves their MT, because frankly that's somewhat impossible :p
  6. Aren't they extinct? :umm:
  7. :hmmm: Maybe I should've started this thread in September since we're going to suggest to them what to film :p
  8. Never seen that model here - looks pretty good (bit like an old Commodore from the side)
  9. Hehe, just being cheeky. I don't really care to be honest.
  10. Oh so the new Ford is a DCT too now? Guess Park Assist wasn't the only thing they copied from VW :nanananana:
  11. I didn't think there would be that many members here who own modern Audi's, Porsches, Lamborghini's, BMWs, etc, etc) ;) VW own Audi, Lambo, and Bugatti anyway, but that's offtopic. Why haven't you voted yet? ><
  12. Yeah I know Mellors but that seems the most common name it goes by - will adjust.
  13. Awww, no banning today :(
  14. :meh: Whaaa? We don't have a 'meh'? We should have a 'meh'! DIABLOOOOOOO  :...: Ummm yeah, as far as I know the only ones who "stole" mods posted them on a non-english TDU2 community site anyway so tbh I wouldn't really care. It just shows what the real motives are, and there's a bit of ego there. It would be rude not to acknowledge what he has done over the years though (plenty more than me), so thanks for that if you're reading.
  15. Yeah but you don't want to ruin their best segment by overdoing it either. My enjoyment of TopGear also depends on weather or not I've already seen Fifth Gear review the same cars before or not.
  16. Everyone's been saying that since Season 12
  17. lol there were lots of niggles, can't remember them all from 7 months ago ;) The settings I had were the best I could get, so not much deadzone. Having 900 degrees no doubt amplifies any deadzone. Having a sim amount of rotation on such a bad arcade game is asking for trouble
  18. Transmission discussion posts moved to a new thread here: Transmission discussion
  19. I don't see the huge appeal over stretching your left leg and moving a stick around (small things amuse small minds I guess) :cheeky: (that's a joke) MT is good for holding the gear you want for the best power/RPM. I can easily do that in my car via sequential stick shifting or paddle shifting. The automatic Sport Mode in DSG VW's is excellent at holding gears anyway and would be a faster option if you were a noob. If I lived and worked in the mountains a manual would be great, but I don't - I work in the city. I've driven manuals in long stop/start traffic and it's annoying. In that situation you want something that's as comforting and relaxing as possible to keep the stress levels low, and my car delivers that for me in spades (just pop a DVD on if I'm cheeky or browse my 30GB internal HDD for different music). I don't need to move a stick around to have fun while driving. I understand the pleasure of mastering MT but then some people still prefer to listen to vinyl records as well instead of MP3's. Once might be better in one or two ways, but the other has more than enough pro's to make it the preferred option. Just to be clear, I'm not having a go at MT or saying it's bad and have utmost respect for those who drive it, but just highlighting that whlie they're undeniably better than conventional automatic slushboxes, the same can't be said of DSG. What I might do at this point is move the AT/MT discussion to a new thread and add some sort of useless poll.
  20. I think there's something wrong with that particular model on your PC, because I'm sure it looked better on my PC back in the day.
  21. 900 might be good for changing lanes and doing 3 point turns, but I prefer the smaller number for racing and rally.
  22. 3.5 weeks away. Wonder why it's on a Wednesday instead of Sunday.
  23. You're assuming people with nice steering wheels still play this game despite the awful physics and [lack of] force feedback :) The best I could do on my G25 was below, but had rotation set to 260
  24. Surely they can't also screw up the bike physics as well? Cars are better but as far as TDU2 goes they have more of a chance of making a half decent arcade bike game.
