  3. Congrats to Tim for winning the otw thing last week. * Stick to the implied theme (don't look for technical loopholes) * Images must not exceed 5MB, and be at least 990px wide by 340px tall. * Each person who enters must cast a vote in the same week to remain eligible. You may not vote for yourself. * Winning image must not be of TDU2 as you risk account suspension. * Winner picks the next theme, unless winning consecutively, in which case the runner up decides. * Winner has 48h to PM a new theme to me or another member of staff if I'm away, if they fail to meet this then the theme will be a free round. * Competition is limited to games on all platforms of any age that are classified as driving/racing games. (i.e. FPS games that have cars in them wouldn't be eligible). Please mention what game your screenshot is from. * Minor non-enhancing editing permitted (cropping, addition of your name, etc) is permitted, as long as the actual screenshot isn't tampered with. Just like all these other comps. Week 33: F1 Related Stuff Cars/Tracks Please don't link small images to larger ones - just post the large one here!
  4. I'm assuming they were referring to consoles in that instance. The answer about server jumps didn't really answer anything, but they've plenty of time and experience with TDU1 to work that out. Auto lights are a bit of a pain, sometimes you can just be in a shady spot and with certain screens it can be hard to make out the distant details, where manual control of the lights would help. It should be pretty easy to add that option for PC players (just assign a key to it); NFS 3 could do it :)
  5. I change my mind about the belt now
  6. afaik the upgrade parts fall into those categories above, and there are multiple versions of parts (better ones unlocked later). You can either go full on custom or if you're in a rush just pick one of those presets, where I assume it'll use the best of each part that you've unlocked so far. The OP just looks the way it does for now (a few days) just so everyone gets a chance to see those videos, the thread should end up looking a bit more like the Car List later on. I'm sure we had a similar thread for TDU2 and/or FH
  7. As Ivory/Ubi reveal more information about the game, share it in this thread and we'll endeavour to get a bit of a list/FAQ happening in this post (any staff can edit this post, because you're mistaken if you think I'm going to do it all :p) For now I'll just quickly start off with the various tuning types in the game (I will convert these videos to links later). Also notice Zoe (your game-typical FBI Boss) walking in the background in some of the videos. [headline]Tuning[/headline] Full Stock: How it rolls off the dealer lot. This is your basic ride and a ‘blank canvas’ for your own modified evolutions! Street: Dealer options and off the shelf DIY additions. Useable day-to-day ride with enough grunt to have serious fun. Dirt: Internal crash cage; uprated suspension; dirt tires on tough rims; sump guards and braided hosing; flaps, fenders and spots; newer models uprated to all wheel drive. Go tear up those backwoods! Raid: Bespoke, full crash cage chassis; uprated suspension, including long travel shocks; uprated transmission; full bash guard package, including bull bars and skid plates; high profile, off road tires on steel rims. This is a ‘go anywhere’ ride, so what are you waiting for? Performance: Anything to get the power up! Holes cut here and there, after market components, track day tires on lightweight rims. There’s no hiding the intent here – this machine is built to compete. Circuit: Wider track; lower ride height; interior stripped out; crash cage, seats and harness; pro engine tuning, wind tunnel aero package; extra cooling for fluids and brakes, low profile racing slicks on superlight, super wide rims. NOT road legal!* *I wonder if this hints at increased police attention when driving this on the roads If you want to help out in building the list please post below and I'll copy it up here.
  8. Being a good muppet and not posting this in the chatbox, but I couldn't find the thread within 2 minutes so I'm making a new one Lots of parts flying off which is good, but I can't help but think the car still looks a little rigid when it makes contact. Maybe that's why why BeamNG call it SOFT-body damage physics.
  9. Yeah I've noticed on all the videos of this game there are too many distractions to take your focus away from just driving the optimum line. Looks like it should be decent though. I just hope they aren't relying on the fact that you'll have to do each track 5 times to get the best lap time, top speed, best drift, etc as a replacement for actual depth within the game. Also hoping there's an open world online cruise section (after all it's called Drive club, not Race club).
  10. As long as you can see the colours in the poll ;)
  11. I must be even more chilled as I'm not even getting it :cheeky:
  12. Here's a list of titles that have built-in support for exporting the data you probably need. SimXperience Supported Games Perhaps another app could hack into the game's memory cache somewhat like how a trainer cheat works but I honestly can't see anyone doing this due to those who would have a motion simulator probably not liking TDU2 much at all. However you may be in luck next year with this:
  13. Forgive me for not typing all 768 colours in the RGB spectrum. ;) Post your purple car pics here and vote for blue/purple.
  14. Well lets go through the colours then. Starting with Black (top at the list) - go and find 6 images to post here - the 3 cars that look best in black and 3 that look the worst. Let's see if we discover anything in the process :)
  15. Did you see the red Lambo in Topgear USA last week? Looked epic. But yeah totally get what you mean. The idea is for each person to think of their favourite car or what they might realistically aspire to owning and choose based on that.
  16. 6 voters hardly makes for some sample data  http://www2.dupont.com/Media_Center/en_US/color_popularity/Images_2012/Dupont_Europe_Color_Chart(HR).jpg
  17. I wonder when we'll actually see some police vehicles instead of only hearing sirens in the distance along with radio comms :) Also nice new bg pic Diablo
  18. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hMFE0wxP7r8 Green tiles look rubbish, and so do all those fingerprints on the console. Hopefully that feedback is loud and clear from whoever is in the Beta
  19. Once upon a tim Richard Hammond found out that cute puppies were more popular than supercars with your average crowd on TopGear I guess that means we're not average  (8 likes for the supercar post, 6 likes for dog at present)
  20. I said ' ', not video games  It's obviously not the same but there is a definitely a massive advantage to all those years experience. The biggest difference was noticed on the skidpan - when the car drifted I instinctively went to countersteer as you would in TDU1 but the ESP took over and suddenly started steering in that direction which meant a big wallop of sideways g-forces. Doing the actual laps it's all pretty simple to combine your simulator experience with your real world driving experience (mountain roads, etc) to work out a decent route around the track. The main difference is between the car and an office chair are the extra g-forces (hanging onto the wheel in fast bends), turning your head a lot more (not looking dead ahead at a monitor), and just the car not being as nimble (i.e. more friction on turn-in) than I was expecting, which is why I often started corner turn-in about half a second too late, because I felt sure that if I did it earlier, it would be too early. Cars in games/simulators never really do a good job at communicating that weight/inertia.
