1. So after many months, I finally caved in and bough something I've been after for a while...
2. If there's one thing Renault know how to do well, its making hot hatch's. Hell even just there run of the mill hatch backs are great fun! If your after pure driving run, the Megan RS is the best out of the cars you said your friend had been looking at. Having been lucky enough to drive one for 10 minutes as well as be thrown round a track as a passenger in one I can personally say its great! (Both being a 250) Also the likes Evo & Car magazine love it as well! Also being based off the 3-Dr Megane, it's still practical. The ride is a bit stiffer meaning a harder ride but it's nothing back braking, and you'd expect that if your after a sports car anyway! Hope this is of some help to you. :)
3. BRZ is preferred over the GT, due to it's rare & it's meant to be more grip happy. :) The MX5 (Miata) is due a replacement anytime soon, which would be good news for me as they'd want to rid of any un-sold of the current gen for a good low price! ;)
4. My choice in car is't decided by the likes of MPG and stuff like that, I'm picky about things. The new Feista ST is a cracking car, but my mate has just gotten a brand new Feista this week...and there's alot of little bits about it that annoy me inside it. But I don't know about the Focus ST estate. Part of me is tempted to get a fast estate, but another part wants to go balls out and go the sporting coupe way, as when i settle down and all that I may not be able to get a coupe due to moneys of a family, bill's, etc.
5. I've said, I'm not throwing £20 - £26 grand out there just like that. This is likely to be the most amount of money I'll ever spend on something this side of a house, so of course I'm taking my time. Some people are lucky enough to get a brand new car every 3 years, I'm not from that sort of background...so you can see why I'm wanting to make the choice I'd be most happy with long term, as I'd be keeping it for as long as i can. Also playing it safe and waiting till my apprenticeship is over next year...last thing I want to do is do all the paperwork then fail an exam and loose my job and have no way of paying for it. But yes, I do wish I could just get one now...but making my mind up is a hard choice. ;) And that 2012 Focus ST estate for £18,000 seems a good buy as well...
6. Okay, maybe not soon...but next year I'll be making a choice if things are still as they are. And before you go "This again, make your bloody mind up"...I've said many a time why I'm not jumping in right away.
7. 7 years. Wow. Sadly, although many of the long term folk from the Atari forums know me...I haven't been here since the start sadly. I signed for an account then went off the radar for a while. Then as some may remember, I happened to log in a week before we knew of the thing they call TDU2 was announced...and been part of here ever since. Pure luck that that happened or was TDU 2 my doing? *cue Tubular Bells playing* Heres to many many more years of the madness! ;)
8. Damm! That's the one I've been thinking of getting for a little while now! :D
9. If your going to bring up music from Anime, I'll just say Initial D wins for me thanks to the Eurobeat. :dj: Works well in near enough every driving situation, be for real or in a game.
10. Only put off is the bonnet, but the bumper & lights (lack of) is what made me think it could be getting made into a Slighty. Rare to find in the UK...but there's 2 up in my area alone. ;)
11. Going by the front end of it (or lack of) i'd say it's a track toy.....or going by how clean the rest of it looks....it'll become a sileighty. Nice find! :D
12. Heres an oldie for you's... Taken at a car meet a few days before I got the low. :) I never took the picture, but you can see me in the black & white T-shirt on the top left. 'Wolf' looks so odd with the old tatty number plate & being so high!
13. I'm not 100% on it... But it started from a bit in Bleech(I think), where one of the people spin a leek...a guy put the 'Lotumia' song to it and then from there Miku became involved....and the rest is as they say, History.
14. Not the best photo, but 1 of 2 Chibi Miku's I've got. :D
15. I've driven ton's of cars that are 'non sporting'...I've had the most fun in some of them as well! Nothing like thrashing a 1997 Ford Mondeo around one of the best driving roads in the UK, or my Poverty spec Clio I'm running along just now. Since you don't expect them to be sporting they give you the best laugh and challenge. Cars made for sporting can be a bit of a let down because you expect them to be good then get let down & offend the owner when you say "I found the 2006 Punto more fun". Added points for being a Van...Ford Transit's handle VERY well! Sounds like a normal Friday night for me... - About the 'road races' you see on Youtube, just because you see them doesn't mean there common place. Where I live has one of the highest amounts of supercars in the UK, but you don't see too many of them and the owners drive to the road rules. Also there not an every day spotting...Porsche's are & Aston V8 Vantages are heading that way but that's it.
16. Yup. :nods: But if you have a big enough collection, should set of a thread of it's own. :) (well it's what i do anyway)
17. Never relised we had a 3 video per post ruel, apologies. Anyway insted of a link added them to this post. "Better off Alone" - Alice DeeJay, 1999. And a special for you's all... "Amish Paradise" - 'Weird Al' Yankovic, 1996
18. Oh go patch....oh go no! NOT THAT.... ! - I'll kick mine off with... "What is Love" - Haddaway, 1993. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xhrBDcQq2DM "Boom, Boom, Boom, Boom, " - Vengaboys, 1999. "Tubthumping" - Chumbawamba, 1997. [mod edit:] Please don't embed more than three videos per post, thanks. Re-Edited: Removed links for video 4 & 5, posted in a new post. - Cal
19. Bit of a hard one, but Male would be Bunta Fujiwara from Initial D, the main character's Dad. Because he's so bad ass. Im sure . Also teaching his son to become a driving legend by getting him to deliver tofu since the age of 13, useing an AE86 and the only road happens to be an epic touge path. Bunta himself was a legend of a driver, which you pick up on but never anything is given about him other than that, and he knows his mechanical stuff. Female? Would have to be Osaka from Azuma Daioh. Because she's her. And a special mention to Hatsune Miku. I'll get a post up later today of my figures.
20. Don't tempt me!
21. I really cant wait for this, even if you have to pay for it as an add on, it'd be worth it! Sooner I can map some of my local & favorite driving roads to the game & share it with you guys the better! :D
22. Only figures I have are 2 chibi style Hatsune Miku ones, which always make me smile. :D Keep meaning to on of the GoodSmile Racing Miku figures, (Chibi or normal style), but haven't seen one in a while and last one i saw was a bit pricey.
23. Loz! Your cabinet is full of win! :D Cars & Anime(& ponys!) Also reminded me that I still need to see K-On.
24. We've had both a 405 & 406 in the past. Great cars though and we put some really high mileage on them and never skipped a beat. Well until they got written off...but the engine still ran on the 405. Diesel & refinement never really came about until the mid- late 90's(manufacture pending). ;) Before that it was just something that got you high mileage and you could fix with nothing more than a 13mm ratchet spanner, a hammer and a Haynes Manual.
25. Let me correct that... And it comes with a diesel. ;)
