assetto corsa Assetto Corsa {DT} - General Discussion Thread
2CV SUPER GT replied to Ryzza5's topic in Driving & Racing Games
Technology demo will feature Magione racetrack and a "lightweight sportcar" -
Same for me :) Except something about Pcars : Graphics are awesome and the better so far. It's just incredible sometimes and the work on weather & day night cycle is awesome. I just hope for a descent AA cause 8x looks very bad even for my 2560x1440 monitor. I can run TDU1 with AA32x wich looks very good but 8X is too short for a game running with high poly models. But about physics, It's very hard for me to find pleasure, hard to drive in the bad side of a simulator, arcade on the way that cars move on the asphalt, only some dynamics and agressive sound keep some reason to continue few more minuts. I was happy to see the E30 M3 until I understand that I'll never do anything with this car, feeling like a TDU2 fail. To be clear, TDU1 give me better sensation if I use the game in the right way. But, SMS seems to try to improve their physics, and I am pretty sure that they have the ressources needed to realize that. They have still one year + possible update, I am confident that they will do something great, maybe not the better physics, but at least something that give pleasures as a GT5 or FM4. Let's hope the best! Still stay a question about modding support. AC and its modding support will give me free environnement possible and we all know that we can't wait from game devs for a free roam driving simulator online, we have to make it ourselves.

assetto corsa Assetto Corsa {DT} - General Discussion Thread
2CV SUPER GT replied to Ryzza5's topic in Driving & Racing Games
Good to notice that Assetto Corsa will offer the best modding tools never seen in a racing game as it's just the tools used by the developpement team and made to be easy to use. You ll be even able to modify the full game, script new features and more. Physics are one of the best and rendering are quite high level with Dx11 support. Laserscanned tracks for an accurate feeling. The most important features is that Assetto Corsa is not edited by Atari... [mod edit:] Please don't embed more than two videos per post, thanks. -

RIP TDU1 TDU2 is quite good where TDU1 was bad. I think about road surface smooth, 3D engine lightning render, and some various improvement here and there. But in fact, there is funny features, and "absolutely need" features. This last one is "the feeling of driving a car" very helped by G25 or others advanced steering wheels. TDU1 was able to make me feel a bit like driving a car, not very accuracy as I would like, but there is some sensation. If you replace TDU1's model car by a green cube, you'll continue to feel to drive a car, if you replace TDU2's model car by a green cube, you'll just come to understand what TDU2's physics feel like, in seeing this cube moving, just a basic géometry stuff sliding on a 3D surface. I think a copy of TDU1 with improved physics could be more appreciated by comunity than the actual unusable TDU2 [insert various slang here]! Just to mean that a developpement team (as game editors) have to think twice about the real priority before to spend some years of work. I guess the TDU2 fail will be a good lesson for Forza Horizon and Ivory Tower's project. We can expect for better physics there. About me, I will be not on Forza Horizon, even it looks like to become a great game. Steering wheel compatibility, console investissement, no modding, weak hardware, this game is not really made for me, but I hope it'll have a great success and people have fun on there, for the sake of the TDU-like game style. Me and Xiorxorn will continue to work on PC modding, we choosed Assetto Corsa for its advanced graphics, developpement tools (cars & environnement), little developpement team in a human scale, advanced physics but drivable by everyone. I hope to see you there guys :) Thanks TDUC and comunity for support us along the TDU's adventure, have nice ride again anywhere you go! :rtr: :D

released 2CV SUPER GT : FERRARI DAYTONA 72 COUPE & SPYDER [v2.2]
2CV SUPER GT replied to 2CV SUPER GT's topic in Vehicle Mods
Sorry for made you waiting, I fixed the problem. I did not change version number, so don't mind for that ;) -
GT4 was only 730 car models. They add the new models made for GT PSP as the Veyron. But we lost some models too, as Fort T, Auto Union, 2 Benz wood car from 1900, Nike prototype and some other I probably forgot... Same for tracks, and bike from Tourist Trophy. I don't feel GT5 as the full potential that Polyphony Digital can have, but it's quite enough to compet against their rivals.

Polish versions looks not compatible with Patch 1.68b :/

Kurgan have explained well the things. It's the lowest level of rarity wich is 0.05, exactly like the Shelby Daytona from Eden Games. This car is the most expensive car on the world and only 3 real chassis. So, you need first, to have a lot of money, then to be very patience to wait Ralph Lauren selling his one. I would like to give this feeling when you get the car ingame. But you can also test this car or rent it (rental is inside the crater Diamond Head) ;) Note: there is 2 different rims, full or borrani. I hopu you'll get the rims that you would.

TDU2 is a fail ! I am still playing TDU1.

City Car Driving simulator (ex "3D Instructor")
2CV SUPER GT replied to Kivlov's topic in Driving & Racing Games
This game Coast only 18€, so I buyed it. There is some very very intersting things for a little team. Devs seems to be free to work on their game as they want. V2.2 comming in spring show that this game is an endless developpement let us whish the better. The physics are far to perfect but there is lot of car functions with its proper sound as a real handbrake, belt, headlights and beam lights, start engine, winker with sound and visual effect... Comparated to TDU2 the traffic is awesome!! The glass have an Alpha (transparence) and you can see some details with random NPC inside (should be 1,2,3 or 4 inside). Car looks as real models as VW Golf. You can choose to ride with a full traffic make appear more than 100 cars into 1 screen with full effects, just awesome!! The envirronnement is badder than TDU2 as we could guess, but quite good I think (except off road parts wich is reallly poor and not really immersive). Maybe the russian location is not so happyness as TDU can be with Ibiza and Hawaii :D But if they continue to create a largest location like that, it will be fine for me. The full traffic make the framerate a little bit slow, I think it come especially from the shader, cause it's better when I put out that (i7 , 9G ram and GTX580 OC). There is one important thing making the game boring now : there is no goal! but V2.2 will have, so I hope it will be more fun. There is 3 other things that could be the game fun : - work more on the physics giving more pleasure to drive - work more in the engine sound for better immersion and pleasure (and sometime I can't hear if the engine run or not) - make a descent online with 16 players session or more. Maybe just a game session as GT5 and not a massive online as TDU2, which is not really cause always less than 8 players. I think it's better to buy this game than waiting a TDU2 v1.0 patch, wich will never come cause Atari will not spend more money on some too expensive Ferrari licence in a buggy and dissaproved game where players should have better to drive only Veyron and Pagani (as I do, even i had better pleasure to ride classics in TDU1). TDU2 is a game made with money gave in advance by Atari. Maybe there will some other car models already did in hope to robe us more money before comming mods. this is the usual method for all best seller game. City Car Driving is just a little game by a little team free from its editor for and addon's price. If they get enough money, they will continue developpement and give the best for a game that they like as a player. So I buyed this game as an investissement, for a team wich deserve it :D Kivlov, please don't stop to work on City Car Driving and good luck for future! -
There is 2 reasons that they ruined photomode : 1 - they never played TDU1 2 - they never played TDU2
-
How many racing game are able to make full weather + day/night cylcle in real time on open world with so good lightning?
-
They can be proud to their 3D engine cause it's the better part of TDU2. Lightning, weather, night/day, it's close to perfect and so far better than TDU1.
-
In my opinion, they have not the talent needed for do a better Handling and other. The team is different from TDU1, lot of Eden dev from TDU1 leave the team for good reasons. So Eden had to search for new dev and took some novice when there is no choice. Do not forget that Eden did not make 3D models, the graphic engine and the environnement build system. They just adjust some good stuffs made by other wich are talent professionnals, and arranged that as they want to do. It's a little bit like politic, why they will now fix some problems that they can't fixed before (in 6 months beta)? The only problems from TDU2 are the only stuffs that Eden did, or tryed to do... I see them as pure novice, cause they have real tools, new technologie, all control, and they made cars buggiest than mine in TDU1. I can assume that they never tested their model ingame as there is so much bugs in their conversions (materials miss, poly miss, and more) . Some forms are totally wrong, physics should be called "scrypted animation 3D". I just looked for physics improvement in TDU2 but they did something badder than TDU1 and their models are so far badder than my mods (sorry to speak like that, I know it's bad, but it's better than lie) so, how can I respect this beginner's work? With their tools, it take me 5 minutes to had winker icon working in cockpit view. There is no reason to forgive as they are considerated as professionnals and sell their work. Eden show us the better than they can do (as they said for report release reason, "better experience possible). The future for freeride driving will be some where else now, that's the message comming from TDU2.
