European Drift Championship & Time Attack : 17th June - Knockhill - Photo Topic

Hello all.

 

Was at Knockhill Race Course today and it was bloody fantastic! So many powerful cars and lots of noise. I was obviously there to take photos and I am going to share some of them with you now.

 

The day was a mixture between the European Drift Championship and Time Attack (Where cars compete to find out who is the fastest around the track) events with each going on at different times. Lots of people were there which made it a little difficult to get photos of the cars on track but I managed. I was fortunate enough to be lended a lens (Sigma 70-300) as a friend wasn't using it. The lens was not bad and delivered the result I wanted with a longer reach than my 17-85 although lacking an Image Stabiliser, made is a little difficult but wasn't too bad. I was mainly using the Sigma especially as I was at trackside most of the day. I'm not completely satisfied by the way they turned out especially the track images as there isn't much movement and I should have used a slower shutter speed although I would have but didn't want to screw the photos up.

 

I must say I am exhausted now as I woke up at 7am as I had to be there for 9am to catch all the action but it was well worth it. I took over 1000 pictures but have only managed to edit a couple so far and I hope you like them.

I will be adding more in the next few days!

Yeah the white Impreza was amazing. It had 850bhp and went like the clappers!

Hehe well if you remember a guy with a grey jumper with "Quicksilver" in white writing then it could well have been me. I guess you know what I look like and I had a rucksack with me and obviously was carrying a camera. :D
