Week 25

Rules:

 

• Photo MUST be taken by you.
  
• No Voting for yourself!
  
• Photos should be within the limits, which means - not bigger than 800x640 and 350 kb.
  
• The winner chooses the next week's theme. If someone wins twice in a row, the person they voted for chooses the next theme.
  
• If you post more than one photo, you must tell us which one you'll enter with. If you don't, the first photo that you've posted will be entered.
  
• Photos cannot be used twice for two different subjects.
  
• Your photo must be taken after the contest has started.
  
• Your photo must follow the theme. The person who chose the theme has ultimate control over whether a photo gets entered or not - there will be no arguing over whether a photo is acceptable.
  
• You must upload your photo either in TinyPic or ImageShack or PhotoBucket. If I can't see the date the photo was taken, I won't enter it.

Trees

All kinds of trees acceptable, let your photos be focused on the tree(s) itself.

Don't flame me about this, but why does it have to be taken after the thing starts?

Its kind of a "spark your creative mind" competition, rather than "rummage through Photobucket" competition ;)

Exactly, and that's why you have to upload it in TinyPic and ImageShack, as the EXIF data of the photo isn't erased when the photo is uploaded there and I can see when it was taken. :)

Well i think that rule is pretty pants. Making someone sign up for a new upload site. I wouldn't / am not bothering tbh.

 

See me as cynical but this really isn't something i would spend 5 minutes of my life on.

Not trying to start an argument or anything, just wondering.

 

Why aren't we allowed to use Photobucket anymore? Or have I missed something while I've been away?

Okay, I've done a little check and I see that the date of the image is visible with my add-on aswell. So, okay, Photobucket is allowed aswell, but if I can't see the date of the photo it won't be entered. ;) Play fair or don't play at all. :p

Seems like a reasonable new rule to me, there's no need to sign up and imageshack takes like 2 seconds to upload an image, so I don't see why anyone wouldn't want to use it :)

The first Red Squirrel I have seen in my garden for around 3 years or so so quite a sight to see one! It's mainly Grey Squirrels we have in our garden by my mum called me through this afternoon and I took some photos of this guy on a tree outside. :D

Great photo, haven't seen a red squirrel where I live for years too, plenty of those horrible gray mofo's.

eleKtro, two problems with your pic. First one is that I can't see the date of it. Second problem is that I don't think it really follows the theme. It's clearly said, let the tree be your main object, you've choosen a sign.

Well I suppose it's strange but apparently it's a birch tree and might be more white due to the lighting as it was quite a bright day!

Focus, nothing about a tree inside. My focus was on the squirrel :p (I'm not Zoophillic!)

It's been said many times, this is a contest of creativity, you should try to get a new pic, not just search through your archieves. ;)

I'm not on about using an old photo, fair enough you got to take a new one to enter nothing wrong with that. The fact you have to provide a date! If someone cheats and gets an old photo then boo hoo on them, kudos to them who do take a photo.
