Dredgy: TDU Performance Editor [Car Database 2.1 Released]

    It does indeed just import the data for the car that is currently saved.

    However I don't have a copy of the source code for 2.0, just 2.5 and 3.0 builds. Both of which have several new, untested features so it won't really be safe. I'll do what I can, but don't hold your breath.

    Nice Dredgy... :thumbsup: I'll be happy if the updated PE would run a little more stable, mine does crash sometimes after prolonged use.

    ************** JIT Debugging **************

    To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this

    application or computer (machine.config) must have the

    jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.

    The application must also be compiled with debugging

    enabled.

    For example:

    <configuration>

    <system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" />

    </configuration>

    When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception

    will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer

    rather than be handled by this dialog box.

    Also, if i use CarDB 2.0 the program crashes right on start with a different error message.

    Are you hitting "Save Car" beforehand?

    And for future refence, all I need is this part:

    System.Exception: Error when encrypting file: F:\Installed Games\TDU\TDUPE\temp\output.hex ---> System.IO.FileNotFoundException: Could not find file 'F:\Installed Games\TDU\TDUPE\temp\output.hex'.

    I don't currently have a copy of it.

    TDUPE 2.5

    New Features:

    • .NET Framework 2.0 compatibility.
    • Application settings such as TDU Directory are now editable in the TDUPE.

    Bugs Fixed:

    • Importing now works.
    • Some more exception handling should means greater stability:
    • TDUPE will still load when a valid database cannot be found.
    • The program keeps track of all changes to prevent crashes when saving cars.

    Release:

    4 Hours or so.

    Load TDUPE. You should get the "Database not found" error. Press OK and TDUPE will still load.

    Go to "Settings->Installation Directory" and change the text in the box to your installation directory. MAKE SURE TO INCLUDE A TRAILING BACKSLASH. (E.g C:\Program Files\Test Drive Unlimited\)

    Click outside the box onto the save button.

    Exit TDUPE.

    Restart TDUPE.

    Awesome! Thanks Dredgy :D Importing's working fine now :D :D :D

    Oh, one small request for the next version, when you have the vehicle name highlighted (eg; you've just selected a car, if you hit <Tab>, the focus is shifted to the 'Save Car' button. Maybe it's just the way I work, but I think it would be more useful to have the focus move to the 'Load Car' button to speed up operation of the editor.

    nope. still don't work. here's what i have as installation directory:

    C:\Program Files (x86)\Atari\Test Drive Unlimited

    Did you include the trailing backslash? eg: C:\Program Files (x86)\Atari\Test Drive Unlimited\
