A new mod.. Changed some textures. (No new weather)

Features:

- new grass and sand

- new dark and light cracked roads

- new phantom palms

- some textures (sidewalk, hedge..)

I used big palms (~16 meters) on some photo.

You can modify the palms size in the (new, better) FX.ini:

HEIGHTBUSHES = 6.0

(This mod use 2D trees! This is the best quality with this game engine..)

Wow. HQ trees and this mod is maybe very very close to perfect.(nothing is perfect)

Anyway it's very good this way too.

edit: last time i reinstalled the game, because after using a mod, the distant ground appeared black. now its the same issue:

I had that problem too. I've set in my NVIDIA control panel custom settings for TDU with 8xAA and 16xAF, and that problem went away. :)

Great mod! :D I have nothing against it.

 

However.. I do have a strange problem when I used it.

 

when I don't have it installed I get 40FPS or higher, when using this is has a major drop even at one point I got 1 FPS. I was thinking "WTF" to myself so I am not sure what's going on.

great job, Opelos_HUN! The additional foliage really upgrades the experiance. The mod runs smooth on my system with the texture quality set on "high quality" in the nvidia control panel and other tweaks such as 16xQ AA, bla, bla... I'd really look forward to this mod with higher quality textures of the "phantom palms". Any chance you could release a version with other phantom palm textures? :P

Ok, so here's my report.

My notebook is... not very good. In normal conditions (no AA, no HDR, low details) TDU runs at 15-19 fps. I think it runs even faster after instaling the mod. Why? 'Cause this black distant ground. Less details - more fps. Simple. TP completly cooperate with Maciuk's Day&Night mod. Everything is just great, very nice env. modifaction, thank you very much. Oh, in my Photoalbum Update you can see the TP mod. ;)
