The crap help I got from Atari and Digitalriver...

In early April I was having trouble downloading the Test Drive Unlimited Megapack. I was going to contact Atari, but when I went to the support site there was no email, phone number, or mailing address :oook:. I then turned to the help of Digital River, the online "vendor" for game downloads for Atari. This didn't help. Here's the emails I sent to them and their responses that didn't help at all. I still don't have the megapack!!

The links you have provided do not help. The first link (http://www.atari.com/us/support) doesn't help with the problem I have, it's for issues with products, not issues with trying to download a product. The second link ( http://www.atari.com/us/support/newfaq/thewitcher.php??browser=1&pageDisplay=MAIN) takes me to the Atari site where I get a "Page Not Found" message.

Whichever customer service associate reads this, please read the messages below that are highlighted. Please note that my question has not been answered and these two links you've sent me do not work at all. This is the second time you sent me them. I'm starting to wonder whether a human is helping me or a computer. Also, whoever reads this, just read all of the emails I've sent to digital river, and all the ones your fellow coworkers have sent back. This will give you a better understanding of my issue. If you can't help, I'll recommend one thing you can do for me. Just send me the download links and keys for the TDU Megapack in your next email to me. (Downloaded at http://www.atari.com/games/test_drive_unlimited_megapack/download)

Digitalriver,

According to the last email, I've placed 6 orders in early April, and they are all STILL awaiting payment? Why is this? Whoever is reading this article, scroll down and notice how I originally said every time I ordered a product I was getting an error, it was error 30060770 - 0.

IS IT FIXED OR NOT!!!

This question has not been answered yet!! Please cancel all of my orders and fix this issue or at least tell me why it's happening, is my IP blocked from your site or something? Once you fix this problem tell me, and I'll tryto download your product again. This isn't rocket science right?

Here is where I've been trying to download the product. It is the Test

Drive Unlimited Megapack:

http://www.atari.com/games/test_drive_unlimited_megapack/download

P.S. Remember now, its Error 30060770 - 0

but I got the following message again:

"Sorry, this payment option currently unavailable for the currency you use . Please select another payment option. (Error Number: 30060770 - 0)"

Hopefully you can fix this issue. I've been trying to download this

game for almost this past month, and every time I order it I get this same

message.

When I looked up my order (#XXXXXXXXX), the status was "Pending Payment." There was a message under the status saying "This order may not be charged, please click the link to complete your order." There was a button under this message that said return, but it took me back to this page: http://store.atari.com/dr/cs/ec_MAIN.Entry9?xid=41045&SP=10107&PN=1&S1=

Also, when I originally tried to place the order, I was trying to use the promotional code "atari50," which was 50% everything in the Atari

store.

Digitalriver,

So basically have you cancelled all my orders? This is fine so long as I can go purchase and download another Test Drive Unlimited Megapack from:

http://www.atari.com/games/test_drive_unlimited_megapack/download

without getting error #30060770 - 0 each and every time I try to buy this product? Hopefully you have taken care of it, whatever this error may be.

Thank you for contacting the Atari online store.

Our records indicate that your order has been cancelled, and your credit

card has not been charged. Orders are normally cancelled for one of the

following reasons:

- The order was cancelled at your request

- The billing address that you supplied did not match the billing address your credit card issuer has on file.

- The product ordered is no longer available for shipment or has been discontinued.

- The carrier selected cannot deliver to the address specified.

Currently I am using no product. I am not sure whether any of the orders I have placed have been approved, but I have not recieved any download link or product key whatsoever. All I am trying to do is buy ONE Test Drive Unlimited Megapack. As I've stated before, I tried buying it on this website: http://www.atari.com/games/test_drive_unlimited_megapack/download

but the next day when I checked my email I got a message saying: "Thank you for shopping with us. Unfortunately, this order cannot be processed.

Order Number: XXXXXXXXX

Order Date: 09-APR-10"

I tried a few more times on that same website do download the product

but I keep on getting this error: 30060770 - 0. You have my permission to cancel those three orders, but I am still waiting for you to either fix this problem on your website or to send me the download link and product keys. Hopefully you can fix this.

I had earlier tried to purchase and download the Test Drive Unlimited Megapack. The first time I tried, I got a message saying "this order cannot be processed," (Order #XXXXXXXXX) I guesed it might have been an issue with the website so I waited and tried twice today, getting error #30060770 - 0 when I tried buying with paypal.

Here is the link to the product I tried downloading: http://www.atari.com/games/test_drive_unlimited_megapack/download

Please fix this issue

From the emails, it looks like they haven't received any payments at all. This is why you can't download the megapack.

Granted, they still could've been more helpful. Do you have a credit/debit card you have access to that you can use rather than using paypal?

Diablo, no I'm not registered at the Atari forums.

Mellors, I tried using a credit card at first and got an email saying the order couldn't be completed, so I tried again using paypal and I got that error 30060770 - 0. I never tired again using credit card because typing the information over and over got really annoying. I do agree with you that they probably didn't get a payment, but whenever I try to download the megapack, I always get that error.

The reason I asked is contacting Implausible who is an Admin their takes notice of these and usually helps get these issues sorted. I'll send a message to them but it would probably be best if you could join so they could deal directly with you.

  • 5 weeks later...

^I made a thread and contacted Implausable at Atari's TDU forum about this issue early last month. Implausible just told me to contact Digitalriver. I didn't really get any useful help from anyone there. This past weekend I saw the Megapack for sale on a European site. The currency was in GBP, but I was able to convince Dad to buy it. And guess what? As soon as I finished paying with Paypal, the website automatically redirected me to the download site and sent me the activation code email! Too bad my graphics card died the next morning. Haven't been able to test out the megapack yet :sulk:

Anyways, after downloading it from the European site, I contacted Implausible again, telling him that Digitalriver sucks and[insert all sorts of slander/swearing here, then wash mouth out with laundry detergent]. He thought that I was trying to buy the megapack outside of North America, even though I was registered at the North American Atari forum. I sent him another message telling him that I am actually an American resident and he has not replied since.

Oh well, at least now I have 45 more cars to exploit with my lead foot!
