TDU2....No negativity.....just positive!

Hello ladies and gents.

I wanted to start a thread for all the people new (or old) to the forum/game that want to know about the new TDU sequel, there has been a few

negative points made on the game but i want to hear about what your looking forward too!! i'll set things off!

 

For me its the Ascari A10, and the casino! trying to win the R8 spyder!! the fact my actual bank

account cant get damaged is always good!! haha.

 

So lets hear it!! From the new cars to the

new features, big or small!!

- The casino

- The exploration of the great new island of Ibiza

- The new engine sounds

- New psychics model

- House interiors and walking arround in it!!!! (niceeeeeeee!!)

- Passenger mode

- Visiting the real Ibiza discoclubs

 

- Alfa Romeo Mito!!

- Day/Night cycle

- Turn signals

- Visiting cardealers and walk arround

- Car washes!

- Smoother roads

- Tunnelruns

- The detailed cockpits and cars

- Working convetable cars

I definitely wanna see the weather effects. I also want to say that EDEN's job on the rain was amazing, most games only have wet asphalt, TDU2 was lots of puddles of water in the roads, its really great.:thumbsup:

It does look good, should be fun to see how the cars handle in the rain! back end out on every corner!!! haha.

- More than just racing to make money and advance in the game

- New Hawaii

- Better Dealerships

- Storyline

- Having people over to your house

- Customizing everything to the way you want it

My contributions:

 

-Weather "forecasts" accessible from your house.

 

-Active aero

 

-Much-improved external HUDs.

 

-The ability to walk around both your vehicle and your competitors' during the pre-race lobby.

 

-A better story.

 

-The way Atari/Eden kept the idea of back alleys and nooks to park your car (especially in the Ibiza cities).

 

-The inclusion of special editions like the DBS Carbon Black and the other pre-order specials.

 

-A working, practical method of travelling between islands.

 

- Not delaying an identical game an additional seven months because it's on PC rather than 360!

 

Again, great thread. Hope to see some more optimistic posts here. :)

ahh you guys are reminding me of features i've forgotten about!!! being able to walk around the dealerships, lobby and so forth adds SO much the feel of the game!!

Definatly! like being able to see what the weather is doing and checking stats on laptops, adds alot to the game, but in reality, is a fairly small part (in comparison to the rest of the game) very very clever addition!

Everything is just integrated better, as stupid as plastic surgery sounds, I really like it. I think it's a lot better than simply changing your appearance in your closet, same with haircuts.

-The fact that housing options are more diverse and less expensive (trailer parks, yachts, under 100k luxurious condos)

-VW Touareg V10 Diesel

-Hardcore mode integrated with game (no need to restart game, unlock through level, or purchase

-Graphics that don't make me want to shoot my eyes out

-Commuting between islands

-Co-drivers

-Most (if not all) of the problems with TDU1 are fixed (e.g interior graphics, road quality, etc.)

-Affordable sports cars (used cars such as Lancia Delta, Audi TTS)

-Working digital gauges in cars

-More civilized A.I (no doing 200 in a 65, randomly materializing 10 milimeters in front of your (insert incredibly expensive and fragile supercar of choice, Ariel Atom comes to mind)

-No cutscenes for movement in buildings, and online in them

-Long-term DLC support (something that most games lack these days)

Man, I would say the thing I want most is to hold the game in my hands and see TDU2 written on the box. Its such a relief to know that 4 or 5 years later we will be able to play the second installment of the game that changed my perspective of racing games and that gave some of the best gaming hours I've ever had in a videogame.:)

 

All I wanna do is cruise around, no matter where or in what car, just cruising around knowing that I am finally playing a game that 2 years ago was a dream I could only wish for!:thumbsup:

What new do I like?

- indicators

- all FIVE cars of 102, which are AC427, both Catties, Lancia Delta HF-I and Nissan GTR. loads of, eh?

- fixed, smooth roads

- they kept the Oahu

I'm really looking forward to do some cruises with the club like we did quite often in 2007, hopefully it'll be just as fun. And we'll be actually using the club facility's a lot, so I'm pretty curious how well that works.:)

These pictures are quite special, for you guys it are just some cars parked alongside each other. But it were awesome events, our clubmembers were looking forward to the weekends to do these organized cruises...yhea, great times. Unfortunately I couldn't find any other pictures from 2008 or earlier. (Except for the last pic)

- Two big islands to explore, can't wait to find all the stuff around.

- Merc included with the SLS baby!

- Improved detail all over.

- Cars seem to be a lot more accurate than TDU1's sometimes horrible meshes.

- Day and night

- Weather and storms

- Houses with more detail

- Walking around in all those spaces (I really love it yes)

- Hilarious mummified heads at surgery

- Not less cars than TDU1 (not a lot more either but ok)

- Promise of way more DLC and much better feedback and listening from and to community

- Better connections if we can believe what they say.

- Smooth roads

- Some interesting cars like Ariel Atom, D-Type and the buggy

- Turn signals (although to be useful in cruises intensity needs to be upped)
