TDU2 Mods

So, I haven't even got the game, but I'm already disappointed, so does any1 know if we will be able to mod it? (Like same file extensions as in tdu1 etc.)

 

You can't get the feel of a supercar if it's not exactly the same as in real life.

 

We'll need:

- sound mods (cuz the cars sound like a lawnmower instead of a supercar)

- physics mods (correct gear ratios, top speed, correct 0-100 0-200 times etc.)

- car mods (new models)

Mmm we live in the 21st century and they came up with something called "video-sharing sites". So I was on youtube and saw quite a few videos. Also I played the beta, also I saw the car list, also I saw the complaints, really can't you guys open your eyes and see that we've been screwed.

You can't even see every car from TDU1 in this game.

 

I managed to make a better game by modding my TDU1 :| Seriously if people don't agree with this, then I dunno, maybe you didn't buy the game for driving experience but casino and other stuff...

TDU1's modding took quite a while to take off, so just be patient and be happy with what you have. If you don't like it, make your own game with Eden's staff numbers and budget. I can guarantee that Eden will do a better job than any of us could.

Nah I already have a some kind of a "preorder". It's not a preorder yet, I just reserved 1, so I'll get the veyron ss. I'll still buy it, but oh hell yes modders can make a game better. You guys know GTA IV right?

And you have to be deaf not hearing the difference between real cars, cars in that game.

 

Also why do you think they didn't include lamborghinis? Cuz every1 likes them, so release a DLC pack full of lambo for money, ... , profit?

 

And they said we'll have "x" many cars, while it's more like 8 cars (sarcasm) with 2 different types of engines, and paintjobs. It's like saying, look I've just added 5 cars to the game:

The chrysler 300 2.5 v6, the 300 with a 3.5 diesel, the 300c with a 3.0 CRDI, a 300C with a 5.7 V8 and a 300C SRT8 with the 6.1 (this was also an example) They are basically the same.

 

What I want and I think most people do, is GT5 like game with TDU2 features (like cruise around Ibiza).

 

 

PS: modders don't get money for what they are doing

Anyway, mods will eventually come one day, but first, play the game actually, and wait for the DLC stuff that's coming up.

I do kind of catch this guys drift. Not dissing Eden's work in any way, but there was never made a game so good it couldn't be modded by the users to become even better. Sooner or later, the thirst for different cars, meatier engine roars and more realistic physics will grab many of us by the troat. Then, we'll be most grateful if someone actually had these goods ready for delivery.

Yeah, I heard that the files are in .sys format and it looks like a big image file containing all the stuff from the game. So my guess we're gonna need an extractor (like NFS Shift), and then hopefully we'll find the same .bnk files we already have.

Anyway what made me laugh was when the guy drives the Ferrari California out of the house, it has a real California sound (probably recorded into 1 file, and then it was played), while the in game car sounds more like a cow on heat... (if they ever do that lol)

Beeing screwed is a big word but I sort of agree. Been playing the game a bit already and well...I dunno, feels like TDU 1.2 with a new map. Hate me for saying this and complaining but I think it's time we stop BSing ourselves. No doubt it'll be fun once my mate gets it as well though.

 

However I can't believe how bad some cars sound. I test drived the 430 Scuderia and it sounds like a mosquito stuck in a plastic tube. Only sounds I really like are the Veyron's and the Atom's, the rest is meh. It is indeed "lolable" to hear the Ferrari California get out of the garage, sounding so awesome, only to find out that it's not the car's ingame sound.

See.. you all complain that you don't get DLC cars, then you just mod and make your own free cars. So why would they bother with giving you DLC?

 

The difference with TDU1 was that the modding arrived after/around the same time as the megapack so it didn't really do them any sales damage, if anything probably increased sales. This time though people will be expecting mods before Eden have put out any DLC... I suppose some would still buy the DLC to have extra spaces for modded cars though.

I take it you still don't have the game, then? The models are EXTREMELY high quality. The only thing that would need a mod is the physics engine.

It surerly will be fun to play with some different cars, and yeah - Vehicles are still in the same File Format. But i think it's a little bit to soon for all that.

I never complained about DLC cars. Btw how's this for a suprise, you pay 40 dollars for this game, you get about 70 cars + 30 paintjobs (let's just admit the veyrons are almost all the same), and also the cars you have in game are inaccurate, while in other games you get much more cars, with accurate details.

 

And now I'm asking all of you a question, is any1 here have any idea why they left out 1 of the world's most known supercars out of the game? Talking about lamborghini. Why? I tell you why, so they'll make profit out of it, when they release it as DLC.

 

Really I'm usually not that cheepo, but I hate it when you can sense the lies they are feeding you with.

 

For me modding is going to save this game.

I'm sorry if you can't tell the difference between these models and others, but I can assure you 1 thing, this is far from perfect. Not even good.

NFS models are good, Forza models are great and Gran Turismo models are literally perfect (1 mm difference between the real Ford T-Model and the 1 in game)

I do realize there are modeling mistakes but even the wrong looking cars are extremely detailed in their own way. So please, just be quiet.

1: You get about 100 cars, where 2 of them are veyrons. You should study some maths.

 

2: They left Lambo out because they had no money for the licences. It was either Fezza or Lambo. They chose Fezza. I'd guess the game won't ever sell good enough for them to afford Lambo licences.

 

3: Some of Forza Motorsport 3 models are laser scanned. You gotta be kidding me if you're telling me that they're "great" when GT models are "literally perfect". Trololol....

There are rough edges and various mistakes. I wouldn't call that "High Quality", not even mentioning such word as "Extreme".

Models can be high quality even if the graphics aren't! Look at FM3. Everyone says it looks crappy. Then look at other games that have better graphics. "OMG DAT IS SO REALISTIC" even though it's the same "low quality just because the game looks crappy-model". High quality graphics can also exist without high quality models. Got it? Got it?

Now take your lazy arse to google, type in "Pagani Zonda C12S", find a picture of it, open a new window, google "Pagani Zonda Cinque" and find a picture of it. The Zondas are completely different cars, where the veyrons might be only paintjobs. I do agree that the Fs are basically the same cars, but hey, zondas are nice so it doesn't matter too much.

The game hasn't even been out for 24 hours. Seriously. I liked modding TDU1 because that started happening years after the games release, and if anything prolonged the life of it. TDU2 - just no. Come back in ~2.5 years please.
