Weird TOp Speeds

This game has some serious problems with the top speeds of the cars.

 

a few examples:

 

my ascari kz ( class a1):

 

the stats say that top speed is 354 but ingame i cant go faster then 337 kmh??? and i upgraded it and still 337 kmh?

 

subaru impreza: stats say 255 kmh top speed but i can go 269?

 

also many cars have exactly the same top speeds. a few have 329, many have 252 and some also at 269. really weird. and even with upgrading it doesnt change.

 

all the cars in this game have top speeds which just aren't right.

 

is this a bug? or is it meant to be.

 

btw: im online so i cant use programs or mods to tweak this.

odd, all of my vehicles average about 15-20mph faster than their listed speed

 

yet I've seen no change in top speed after tuning as well

My Camaro SS Top speed is 290 But whene i take it to ibiza i reach the 310 with Some upgrade

I've noticed that they seems to "hit a wall" when they get to their top speed rather than slowly not being able to go any faster which really must be how it should work? :oook: Upgrading the Impreza does work, but it only raises the top speed by about 6 or 7 km/h.

My WRX Sti on the Xbox hits 270. Why would there be a difference on the PC, seems odd.

They didn't have enough time to finish the game. It´s not only the speed. There´s a lot of stuff not working properly. Think about the weird handling the net code and the ff :oook:

Speed, as all others things concerning driving I guess, is scripted. Thus the "wall" effect, and the inaccuracy of stats...

Also, many of the cars can reach their top speeds without being on top gear (reference? :D). Untuned DBS can do it on 5th gear (another one? :) ), Veyron on 6th, even though it's got 7 of them.

VW Beetle doesn't use 4th gear when using the automatic transmission.

My lvl 3 tuned Jag D type can only manage 140 mph (225 kph) at best, even though the (very optimistic :lol:) stats say it can do 171mph (275 kph). I wish it could...

I think I remember my untuned Audi RS6 doing 155MPH (?) in 5th, then I expected to change into 6th and be cooking again but it just sat at 155MPH at slightly lower RPMs.

 

DBS definitely does 191MPH in 5th then 6th just seems to be a gear you'd use to get better fuel economy.. but oh, wait a minute..

The ML AMG can reach top speed in 5th gear and it has 7

I know they have a limiter in real life but being a game I was expecting them to have removed it, especially seeing as it isn't the most realistic of games :p

If you tune them the limiter goes I think. Although the gain isn't what it should be.
