A little update on what's gonna happen. I will be purchasing a Corsair water cooler, (not sure which one yet) Corsair Graphite 600T White Edition (and also buying a custom side panel like you see below) and another XFX HD6870. Instead of 6850.

 

It's gonna look like this..

looks nerdy... great. Altho I still think cpu should always be your primary spending target, a 2600k would worth a lot more than the crossfire setup in an opportunity cost deal.

 

Depending on what he will be doing. If he's running GPU accelerated programs such as some Adobe CS programs, video editing or gaming then the extra graphics card will be a lot more beneficial than going to a 2600 from a 2500.

my old gfx card is currently installed tho the new one should arrive in a couple of days
