Hello Crew, this time I want to share with You the newest Q&A exclusive for Russian community - many thanks forTheCrew_Ubi fansite for seting up this and thanks for translation from russian to english. Let's begin!

Greetings to The Crew dev team from the biggest The Crew community in Russia. We are really looking forward to this game - It’s awesome. We want to ask a few questions for our users.

 

• Will the player be able to turn off the game’s HUD?

o It will be possible to customize the UI by turning on/off several elements of the HUD.

 

• Will there be any concept cars like in Test Drive Unlimited?

o We are still working on the car line-up and we will be revealing more vehicles and

manufacturers later.

 

 

• Do you plan to make a Russian version of The Crew site in the future?

o We know that the Russian community is also eager to learn more about the game and we are happy to have this opportunity to answer some of their questions. Regarding the website, we don’t plan to release a Russian version for now, but that’s not a final decision. The more connections we have on our website, coming from Russia, the more reasons we have to translate the site in Russian – so keep coming!

 

• Can you give us any details about the game’s dynamic weather system?

o The game will have various environments and eco-systems that will have their own

atmosphere. We will be sharing more details about it in the future.

 

• Have you thought about increasing the number of players available in one room?

o Right now anyone will always have up to seven players around him at any time (this

doesn’t include the AI vehicles), in order to avoid permanent traffic jams and to improve

the experience. This will also give the opportunity to enjoy a real living world filled with many different players passing by, all being accessible to team-up with or to compete against, in a variety of challenges.

 

• Will the player have to unlock the cars as he progresses through the game, or are they going to be available from the start and are sold for some sort of game currency?

o Cars will be unlocked while progressing into the game and every player will be able to

choose how to achieve that. Either through the story missions, the skill challenges or the PvP.

 

• Can you give details about The Crew App functionality?

o As you’ve probably seen it in our previous videos, the app will allow you to customize

and prepare your car for the game. It will also have many other features that will be

introduced later.

 

• Will the PlayStation 4's second screen option for smartphones be used in any way?

o For now, the team is focusing on the game itself to deliver the most enjoyable

experience. Would additional features be added, they would be communicated later.

 

• Will we have separate servers for each country or just one global server?

o We will be unveiling more information regarding these technical questions in the future.

 

• Are you planning to make any car pack DLC's later in the game?

o Our current focus is to finish this huge game, and offer the best quality experience to

players.

 

• Also will the servers be crossplatform?

o Servers will be dedicated to specific platforms only.

 

• Is there will be camera mode to take pictures like in TDU/TDU2/GT6? (question from Alexey Molchanov

o We don't have information regarding that subject right now, but developers didn't deny the possibility of it being in the game.

They need to have some things they can announce and show so those that don't say a definite NO or try to word a no like a politician are still possible for inclusion. Not every interview is going to result in complete and concrete answers to every question as the game is still months away and they need to hold some things back in order to raise hype.

 

We still have a Q&A to setup and you can be sure there will be good and proper fan questions, not the typical media type that gets asked all the time. I feel they really need to show something about the amount of cars and not the kits though to actively get people talking and properly excited about the game though. The kits are all good but in effect you could discount the street, circuit and performance varieties by the way many games simply allow you to tune up a car.

 

I want this game to be the "Spiritual Successor" to TDU with the features and wants that many of the community asked for in it's sequel, the amount of cars would be the Number 1 priority in this regard though I would think.
