Up until now the official stance was that there is no offline mode, so unplayable without an Internet connection, PS+/Live Gold subscription, or if the game servers die.

I have noticed offline AI in the PS4 beta. One of the cars I saw driving around was a Ford GT which I don't think you can buy in the beta.

Interesting, hopefully this turns out to be true as the game is perfect for an offline mode for those who want it.

The PC beta had numerous AI in Camaro's like mine and RUF's as well though....

Really? All AI Camaros I saw were part of the traffic. I personally did not see any RUFs either.

i think its because you have to pay to play online on consoles, some games even if they are focused on online, they give you the option to play offline.

 

Like Destiny, it has an offline mode for those who dont have PS+ or Xbox Live.

I agree. I'm not spending my money on a game that has an expiration date. I liked Titanfall, but i'm not buying the game for the same reason. I want to play a game for many years, no matter how many compatibility patches i may have to apply to make it work on an unsupported system.

I'm not liking the movement these companies are making its quite pathetic really.
