Hi John.

Most of mine turn out just fine (may be out of dumb luck) , a couple are strange though it seems I'm in the back seat being chauffeured around by a headless driver but it makes it interesting if anything ! I don't use the interior view myself anyway , I use the behind the car view . I do find however that if you use the hex line for the car that the mod calls for , you can use the cam & ik easy enough with no problems . Some mods call for a camera editor as well .

I can now only wish for someone to develop a camera editor. Just waiting for Djey's inputs and progress so far. Thanks Haiku.

Hey guys, lets say I wanted to add slots for 20 different car mods, additionally lets say they are all classic cars. Would it work if I made 20 duplicate slots of the 250GTO by copying the data 20 times in a row to use them as a base for all of these 20 car mods?

Hi Jonez .

It would work , just be sure to use a different REF # for each slot (Car & Rims) ;)

Hey guys, if I'm duplicating the Ferrari 250 GTO slot for a new car which is the DeTomaso Vallelunga, how do I do the last step in the VehicleSlots XML? Do I copy the Ferrari 250 GTO slot and rename it <vehicle name="DeTomaso Vallelunga" ref="2698389658" camera="1019" ik="1019" addon="true" topSpeed="280"/> ???

I'm asking because the Ferrari is being duplicated for a different brand (DeTomaso).

Yep. That's what I actually do in some of my newly-added cars. The brand will definitely change once you change the physics pack of the Vallelunga in TDUPE.

Okay I figured that out. Is there any other way to edit the TDUPE Cardata file other than Microsoft Access?

Guys sorry, I'm dead busy these days. Can't reply to all questions, request and finish my mod. Hopefully I'll be back soon. I won't let you down, I promise.

Tob, I can't send a PM on your Inbox. Can you clear some of them so that I could ask something from you? Thanks.

Hi Tob-Racer

I have a little question to your nice tutorial. :)

You have written that we can change the Rim size. So i know this part since a long time but i have always a problem there.

If i change the the rim size...for example from 17" to 19" or 20".. i got only bigger tires but the Rim size is the same as before. :oook:

You can now see a hole between the Rim and the Tire sometimes small and sometimes big/huge.

I know a solution for this problem but it's a bit complex for me and i need a little bit time for this. And this makes me everytime angry when it doesn't worked. :fuming:

So the Question is: How do you solve this problem?

Btw. this is not for a new car slot it's only a original slot from the game. ;)

In TDUPE, open a car and go to "miscellaneous". you have to set the "default rims" tab to the corresponding wheel size or to the same replaced car. It really depends on if you replaced a slot with a car that was meant for the slot or if the car was manually added by you. Lets say you made the new rim size 20" then usually you should set the default rim in TDUPE to the car that the mod is supposed to replace OR set it to a car with 19" rim size.

This was the solution that i know but i thought there is a easier way. :(

you're welcome. That is the solution to an existing slot. You can create a custom default rim setting for a new slot but you have to make it all from scratch. However, this way you can base it on a car with existing 17, 19, 20 inch rims etc.
