Who knew about the Steam refund policy?

I've just found out about the Steam refund policy and wondered if it was a widely known thing and that I've been slow on the uptake, again.

Basically, You can request a refund from Steam on any game within 14 days of purchase as long as you have played the title for less than 2 hours. This is great if you're unsure about whether or not you want a game. Why not try it and get a refund if it's not what you want?

They will even refund you if you purchase a game before a sale starts so that you can then repurchase the game at the lower price.

Yeah I heard about this not too long ago and thought it's a good and bad thing, however more good as it means devs can't just throw up broken rubbish and run away with the money. Maybe it might make the PC demo return to stop people buying to try and then returning.

Yes I knew about this. Never tried it, although the majority of my Steam library is probably has less than 2 hours played.

Gotta feel for indie devs making linear story games, I purchased one, got annoyed with the interface so just found a Let's Play on YouTube to see the rest of the story.

I miss demos, I remember the good old days of getting 1 disc on the PS1 that had a few different demos on it, that was handy. :nods:
