What has to be one of the greatest song's ever, in the world, was released 40 years ago today.

 

A legend of a song written by Freddy Mercury himself (Both the words and music), it's became part of pop culture for the best of reasons and managed to become number 1 twice in span of just under 20 years, which is a feat in it's self.

It's got a special place for me as well, growing up listening to older music as a child, it really stood out for it's "Rock opera" style.

 

 

Oh, and of course there's THAT scene...

That was actually a really good watch (yes I know I'm replying to myself). They talked a lot about how Freddie had put everything together, then played the individual recordings of each part. It's mind blowing how his timing is perfect, even with massive gaps where the orchestra was to go.
