I'm sorry, truly, but I simply can't get enough english out of that to reply in any way. Something about 8 players in an already existing first person mode or something? I really have no idea what you're talking about to be brutally honest. Either way they would've spent time modelling interiors and all of the customisation features but I'd much rather they do something else with that time related to the drive, that's just me though.

As a near exclusive PlayStation 3 user, I have Home for any social aspect gaming wise where I can just chat and such, thats a much more expansive experience then I suspect we'll get from TDUs similar features and I still don't use Home much.

First person indoor movement solo is very different, there's no animations involved for a kick off as you only need a floating camera essentially. Then there's all the extra content needed if they intend to have you spend any real time in there as I previously mentioned. It's obviously to late now but I'd have much MUCH rather they never bothered with it in the first place. It will end up being like a worse version of something I already don't use, Home, for these aspects.

Yeah I totaly understand (especially in console home cases). I definitely too would rather have them focus on driving related things but only IF "the sims" part really is a large programmer hogger. Hopefully it's not too bad.

Although for me it's like 80% uninteresting without the freeroam. -> :headbang2:

Well, if theres going to be night, your lights should either automatically switch on or one press of a button and their on. Also, if theres rain, it would be cool if it bounces of your car and you can turn the windscreen wiper on.

I would also like realistic traffic (EG:Audi's,BMW's, Honda's) driving around, as that would greatly improve the feel of the game. Also, being able to drive into any parking lot, and instead of rock hard cars, it should be normal traffic cars, which would make some good photo opportunities!

I saw the drops moving, leaving trails behind, in that video :p

I think this would be good raineffects:

Police Pull You Over For Real Reasons Like Speeding,Run A Red Light

Have Heavy Traffic During Daylight,And Little Traffic At Night,

There Should Be Used Car Dealerships In The Game That Sell Like 70's,80's And 90's Cars

And If You Dont Want Your Car You Can Turn It In There

Couldn't agree more with you.

Maybe we get some in DLC, since they allready have included Q7, Charger and other non-luxury cars.

Well here are my ideas:

What TDU2 will need:

*Money making should be harder:

I think getting money is too easy in first TDU, i really want to work my ass off to get new cars.

*"Crappy" cars:

I dont want to start with decent ride, i wanna work my way up to reach the top! In TDU yes we got some cheap cars but none of em were crappy enough. What i would like to see are truenos, old golfs, escort cosworth's etc.

*Legal racing events:

I really would like to see closed circuit racing in TDU. Also drag racing would be an nice addition =).

*Aftermarket rims:

I dont like stock rims, they are boring. What i would like to see is aftermarket rims, they would make cars look really pretty =).

*Pink slips:

That would be awesome!

*Visible engine:

I would like to pop the hood, i really do.

*Car actions:

I would like to see indicators, wipers etc. I also want to put the roof on convertibles, but i think they are doing it already =).

What TDU2 wont need:

*Damage:

Think about it: what are the odds that you wont crash or be crashed into sooner or later.

*Bodykits:

I dont like to see beautiful cars getting destroyed by the people with no taste whatsoever.

*Realistic physics:

They should use their time to develop more important things. What matters is that game will be fun. (Altough it would be nice addition)

What would i like to see:

This wont happen anyway but it would be so awesome if TDU was more "roleplay'ish". I like to drive around in TDU pretending to be an business man or smth. [lol] so i would like to see more realistic elements in gameplay. Things like more intense traffic, gas stations, car maintenance, police what will chase you for speeding ... this list would go on forever but i think you guys got the point =).

I'm not sure about police chasing you for relatively 'minor' offenses (speeding, red lights), but if they do, they should be easy to evade (and not immediately call for all available backup). If you crash into cars, etc, then you should have a harder police chase to deal with. For the minor offenses, there should should be some line-of-sight and the chance they didn't see you (looking the other way, or they dropped doughnuts on the floor). (It shouldn't be if you break a law within 100m of the nearest cop, for example).

Do like MCLA does and allow you to pull over and accept a small fine if you get caught doing a small indiscretion, of course the ability to run away is also nice. :D

I disagree. Linear gameplay would ruin the game, all we need is car and open road.

Having a story line doesn't necessarily mean linear gameplay. There are quite a few games with story lines that offer you the freedom to do just about whatever you like.

A good example would be FFX. Okay, it's a totally different game style but the same could be done for a racing/driving game.

Not sure if these have been mentioned, but here's my 2 idea's

1) Braking sensitivity needs major improvement....I hate it that, regardless of speed, touching the brakes even slightly causes the car to start screeching to a grinding halt. It would be nice to be able to just slow down...

2) I really enjoy parking my car at a dealership/house/location myself... but then when you 'enter' it shows another animation of you parking. I think it would be cool to be able to do that(if you want)...but also allow you to park yourself, get out of the car and walk up to the door for 'instant' access into the building. :D

The 2nd one is mostly cosmetic...but the 1st one is a major issue that I think really needs to be addressed. It's SO annoying.

Thanks. :)

We actually mentioned those 2 points in the Document Proto so hopefully they have been noted and addressed, especially the braking. Man I hated that in TDU.

Thanks for the quick reply Diablo...sorry for not reading everything, this thread is massive now. :)

Glad you mentioned the braking issue tho...it's super annoying. Would be SO nice to have that sorted out in TDU2. :)

you can rent cars for real reasons like your car broke down And have real rental cars like,Avis, budget, hertz,Enterprise And You Can Buy cars From the internet and you can go pick it up somewhere or someone can deliver it to you and you can go to the mall

Knew this has been said many times but.....

BMW.

And yea, realistic traffic would be great, plus the ability to cruise around in single player with 2 or 3 NPCs?

Since its too late (if not then I'm sorry) I sorted these out too.

- Separate volumes for music (in map, house), and car-stereo. (Tired of "having to" use keyboard mute). :|

- Reflective road signs/road markings (night time would look VERY different).

- yes/no option: "Text announce turn signal" (Good at low visibility or for a distant following player with disabled GPS).

- AI controlled 18-wheeler.

- Shop items for the rear mirror. (E.G a dangling Wunderbaum). XD

Any chance of a complex car comparer like the one in NFSIII:HP? I loved the way in which we could compare all cars for a class. They could make it compare for a class/make/price/drive system for TDU 2...woudl be fun.

Posted

Someone made an Excel file for TDU1 to compare all the cars in detail, I'm sure someone will do similar for TDU2.

There's no real-life car comparer, you pick a car based on your own knowledge from car reviews and tests as well as what you fancy. If one car stands out as being best in class, you'll tend to always pick it in racing, even if you don't particularly like it, and that sortof spoils it for me personally. Show us the car weight, power, torque, drivetrain, etc and let us work it out from there I reckon. Failing that you could always have a look at the Top Gear power lap time board to get an idea ;)
