NEW YEARS RESOLUTIONS: heres mine, after long and considerable thought...

 

upgrade pc to following specs:

4)better processor (not too worried about this but might as well lol)

 

5)triple SLI setup - last in line... not really needed, but just like the idea of it

 

So how do i achieve this goal ?

4. it's good to change CPU's. amd phenom 9600 is out if you want quad core. if not, amd athlon 64 x2 6000+ are good duo core cpu's. :) (you can tell, i'm AMD biased.):p Intel's good aswell with their E6750 CPU for duo core or the Q6600 for quad core but I've heard Intel's releasing a new line of quad cores. i think it's the Q7****.

 

5. new mobos with the nforce 7 chipset support tri-sli.

well i agree with the upgrade of it and thats why im going to do it, after all i spend bloody thousands on my rig so it can only help, its just that im on the lowest core2duo at the moment and dont have any trouble playing anything but crysis at max settings, but this said i still can run quite high on it. which makes the cpu upgrade seem shall we say less needed when i compare it to things like gimicky triplehead..

 

but i was thinking about a quad core, but again not many games out they at the moment that fully use these chips as they can be, and crysis designed to be optimal on quad cores has created some rather disapointing results in a few cases.

 

might do some research on those new upcoming chips you mention when im finished here though..

 

PS i already know the 780i and 680i motherboards are supported in tri sli (using 8800GTX and ULTRAGPUs) and i already own the 680i motherboard, so im good to go there at least.

oh didnt know that. i just got an email from nvidia promoting the new mobos with the nforce 7 chipset that run tri-sli. i didnt know the nforce 6 could.

Happy New Year guys, I'm just in from having a night out so I'm pretty pished right now, was drinking Southern Comfort and beers, had about 12 of them and now on my 13th, couple of girls were drinking Southern Comfort also so it was a good night all around. (the girls drank my SC and thanked me for letting them :D)

 

If you cannae (can't) tell I'm pissed so Happy New Year guys and all the best for 2008!!!
