I was surfing down the internet (Huge waves! :D) and i came across this:

These are sound upgrades for the:

- Ferrari F430 & F430 Spider

- Gallardo SE & Gallardo Spider

- Audi RS4

- Nissan 350Z & Nismo versions.

 

To download you press "Links" under the item. Then a link appears underneath it to download it.

This site also includes rim mods for Audi and a day and night mod.

I thought i'd share it with you, enjoy, cause i will!

 

Update #2 01/03/2008

 

TDU-C sound mod pack 2 is now ready.

 

The sounds are from various people from the internet and all credit goes to them for all their hard work.

 

The new sounds and the sounds from pack one now have a rating to make it easier for you to chose what ones you want to change.

 

The reviews are the opinions of S71NG3R and TheScottishSpotter.

Ac 289 - ***** - Sounds best at 3000 RPM.

 

Alfa Romeo Gt 3 2 V6 24v - ***** - Very different sound from stock to sporting technical kit.

 

Aston Martin Db4 Gt Zagato - ***** - More like an older racing car.

 

Aston Martin Db7 Zagato - ***** - Not any better than the original.

 

Aston Martin Db9 Coupe - ***** - Sounds broken to me take it back to the dealer.

 

Aston Martin Db9 Volante - ***** - Sounds broken to me take it back to the dealer.

 

Aston Martin V8 Vantage - ***** - The sound of a thundering V8 but the mid-high mix needs more tweaking.

 

Audi Rs4 Quattro - ***** - Updated and now sounds more European than American V8.

 

Audi S4 Cabriolet - ***** - Better than the original but you will wish you could put the roof up.

 

Audi TT Quattro Sport - ***** - It's ok nothing to write home about.

 

Caterham Csr 260 - ***** - DIY repair job gone wrong.

 

Chevrolet Camaro Z 28 - ***** - Real American V8 sound you will want to find a tunnel.

 

Chevrolet Corvette Stingray - ***** - Not too bad but too quite idle and mid-high mix needs more tweaking.

 

Chevrolet Ssr - ***** - Not to bad for one of the slowest cars in TDU.

 

Chrysler 300c Srt 8 - ***** - Sounds a bit weak but not too bad for this type of car.

 

Ferrari F430 Coupe - ***** - Sound is loud and much better than the original.

 

Ferrari F430 Spider - ***** - Sound is loud and much better than the original.

 

Ford GT - ***** - Forget it the original is better.

 

Ford Mustang Gt R Concept - ***** a lot more like a GT racer at high revs.

 

Jaguar Xkr Coupe - ***** - You like it more you drive it.

 

Koenigsegg CC8S - ***** - don't even think about trying this one.

 

Lamborghini Gallardo SE - ***** - Very loud sound only let down by mid-high mix.

 

Lamborghini Gallardo Spyder - ***** - Very loud sound only let down by mid-high mix.

 

Maserati Gransport - ***** - Not any better than the original.

 

Maserati Spyder 90th Anniversary - ***** - Not any better than the original.

The F430 one sounds good imho. And when the Gallardo accelerates it sounds good too.

Especially when you use cockpit view. And i can know, as i've been in a Gallardo and F430... :p

Translated Version

 

For the Nissan 350Z as well as the Nismo-version, there is today new Soundfiles. Mainly the Abtoursound was changed. Therefore it sounds no longer like an electro mobile. ...Fahrspaß guaranteed.

 

Update: A revised version 3 is ready to the download.

 

Reference: The Sounddateien finds your with you in the following file:

 

Atari\test Drive Unlimited\Euro\Bnk\Sound\Vehicules

 

Trade this simply against the available Sounddatei. The downloads finds your under to the left.

 

Importantly!!! Before your any changes undertakes at the game data, always generate a security of the original data.

Oh incase anyone was wondering the sounds are safe to use online. i just did a hour long full throttle cruise with 2 enzo's in a gallardo SE (with the custom engine sounds) & i totally pooned them! Man these 2 couldnt drive if there lives depended on it lol.

its exactly the same as changing rims. Back up the sound file that has the same name as the one you DL'd & put the new one in its place.

I can't see a problem using them online as it's only the sound file that is changed. Has anyone seen these cars online to see if the sound is changed when other players are driving them?

i downloaded the RS4, F430 and gallardo sounds, they all sound pretty nice TBF, might get the SL65 and 350Z next, just cuz i don't like the sound of those and maybe it'll make me drive the SL abit more...doubt it tho lolol

Yes these sounds are great... I found them onto another place, I dont know if its the same... but these new sounds are lot better than the original one's
