In my opinion it looks much better, the stretch effect wasn't flowing my boat as much as this is. Good job!

Maybe a 1 line border on the top of the picture (the heght of one text line), to have a border all the way around. But as you can tell, I'm nit picking because I like it =]

And there was me wondering if anyone noticed. I got some ideas I'm going to test offline before implementing here and come on it was about time the carbon fiber background made a return! :D

I think it looks much better, especially considering the amount of stretch i Used to get (1600x1200 res) This looks much cleaner, top notch!

I hate it. makes the site look cheap & amateurish. At the very least get someone to design some TDU themed background to go there instead of the carbon fibre.

Then if it's a themed background it would have to be streched, defeating the object of not having the strech at all.

 

I've still to decide if I like it. But I'm not one for change. I didn't like the new forum skin, but now I love it over the old one!

Diablo, please leave it is now, with no border on the top or bottom and with the PotW writing on the image. That's the best so far IMO.

Mmmm, ocean blue xD I don't think that works somehow.

 

Anyway, could the image be faded into the background? So keeping a .psd with some faded black bits on the left and right so you don't have to make the fade each 2 weeks .... Just an idea. Or with a cracked effect, like it's forcing it's way thorugh the forum's back?

In my opinion, the header is about the POTW yea, so we want which ever photo is there to stand out from everything else on the forum, so anything that makes the POTW winner stand out is best.

I agree Max it's all about the image, I'm still thinking of and playing with ideas though and if you've been watching the board you'll have seen the top change more than the timetable at a railway station. :D

Haha, nah it's because I got 2 computers in my room one for games, other for internet and photoshop or what not.
