  4. This could be related to running the game at a too high framerate. Enable vsync in Project Paradise or your GPU settings.

  5. It's how people been doing since first mods. Replacing files. How to replace files: How to add new rims: So far, those are the "tutorials". And yeah, it's not much, and you still have to figure things out by yourself.

  6. Each car in TDU has it's own individual physics. The game engine physics is the same, but each car has been tweaked individually. That file is called CarPhysicsData.db, and it is located inside the file DB.bnk, in your Database folder.

  7. Yeah, camera editing is small changes. If you edit a way too high value, it will screw it up.

  8. The questioon rised when, driving the Lotus Exige S, I noticed that the FOV of that car was much narrower than any other car I driven before. So I will try to play a bit with the settings of TDUF. Maybe I will be able to find the exact setting and, even, make a comparison between the effect it has to the actual FOV values. EDIT/UPDATE Looks like @Djey was right. Binoculars is, indeed, the value that controls the FOV of the game. I've tried messing with the visual of "Ferrari LaFerrari", and got curious results. You need just small variation to the value to obtain relevant results, and going more that 100 units at a time breaks the FOV or simply starts all over again (obtained similar results with 16650 and 10000, for example). Now I need to now how to relate the "binoculars" value to actual FOV degrees units. If someone has an idea, pleas share. Maybe I will create a dedicated post in the mod section, since this matter was never talkend in the forum about TDU, but just TDU 2 (that has a little mods that does the job) Here's the results I got messing with it:

  9. Are you sure it's trying to connect to the Atari servers? Even if you use Project Paradise, it will still say that it's connecting to the Test Drive server. The in-game messages are the same. If you can, make an offline profile to verify that Project Paradise is working. If it is, the version number at the main menu and FPS counter should say TDU 0.03A. If you still can't connect, you may need to port forward. Check My Documents/Test Drive Unlimited and there should be a file upnp.txt that will tell you.

  10. It might be related to some per-camera view settings in game files (although cameras.bin is not fully supported, and may never be...) When I wrote cameras editor in TDUF, I was helped by a russian (I guess) tool, translated into english. Some view settings were named after 'binoculars' , others have still unknown effects. So you should try change such values in TDUF and see what happens. Good luck...

  11. If you're using the one from Platinum it should work fine. If you were able to run it before, you might have to reinstall. Make sure you follow HGCentral's install guide. If you get the game to launch, you need big bnk active in Project Paradise's launcher. Otherwise, it could possibly be an issue with software like Rivatuner that hooks into the game's renderer causing issues. Also make sure you're not running any compatibility modes for any of the executables.

  12. Try running Project Paradise as admin. Also make sure Project Paradise.exe and d3d9.dll are not being blocked by antivirus.

  13. FAQ: Q: I sometimes get sudden and massive FPS drops! A: Use the 4gb exes provided in the patches. Q: Is this online? A: Yes. It requires Project Paradise to work, which is an online mod among other things. Q: Can you add X car or change Z about Y car? A: Nope! Milli isn't going to add any more cars to Platinum, and she didn't make any of the cars that are included. Adding them yourself isn't hard though, and there are several tutorials! Q: Is there a way to haxor my way to max level? A: Nope! Unless you use an uploaded max save, there is no way to cheat your way to max level. Q: is there a way to haxor my monies to have unlimited funds? A: Yes. There is one way. It involves Cheat Engine. Use Google Q: Alt-Tabbing crashes TDU! A: Alt-tabbing crashes TDU. Always has, always will. On Windows 10 you can get away with using the Start button on your keyboard to accomplish the same thing MOST OF THE TIME though. The only real solution is to run windowed mode and use external software to force it to fullscreen borderless. Q: Controller keybinds and mapping questions! A: Any Xinput controller will work out of the box with TDU. For non Xinput controllers you will need an emulation software. All keybinds will work, except the map. For complicated reasons, just use your mouse to navigate the map. Q: Halp my game is borked! A: Very descriptive. In all seriousness though most issues with Platinum can be solved by simply reinstalling the mod. It overwrites nearly all of TDU's core files, so the act of installing it from your original download can fix nearly any issue with the install. There is a video with install instructions and a download for the original TDU. Follow the steps in either the video or in the readme of the download and you should have zero issues. Q: Halp my game is still borked after I did what you said! A: Gonna need more information than "it's broken" in order to even attempt to help you. There is literally millions of potential reasons for a game to break seemingly without cause. Could be anything from drivers to unsupported resolutions. Hope that's helpful

  15. Yeah it is still in the game camera post-race. It only happens at the end of that race every time I try it. Luckily I still got the race reward even though I had to reboot the game.

  16. Is the camera still in the game camera post-race? Occasionally the game can get stuck post race, might be a game bug. It's a good idea to have a second profile ready so when this happens you can just return to the menu by changing profiles. You will usually (in my experience with this bug) still get the race rewards. Also, some races will have AI traffic. This means that you can also get chased (and ticketed) by the police mid-race, regardless of if your profile is an online or offline profile.

  17. You can't alt-tab the game when using full screen. You need to play it in windowed mode, and use Borderless Gaming to put it back to fullscreen.

  18. Actually, I was. I didn't think of this because when I was in the menu it would happen even if I wasn't using the controller for the map. I reset my controls and it works perfectly now. Thanks!

  19. Are you using a controller for map controls? Using a gamepad for the map will cause the cursor to slightly move constantly, and it makes that preview window update constantly. As a result, it won't display anything in the preview window.

  20. Unfortunatly it all depends of the mod. On vanilla cars it may work but not all mods are the same on how they work in the game. I actually asked my self how to modify these secondary colors in the database. We're facing TDU's limitations for the database and for the car mod the original author of the mod have to edit it to make it modifiable by TDUMT. This was my question last week in my own thread with replies from ancient TDU car modder TDUZoqqer: Can't help sorry. Also bit of news about the wiki guide, Got a bit busy lately but I've made some progress by making it more organised. I'm actually working on how to add wheels with TDUF. It take a LOT of time explaining TDU stuff guys, please get in mind that. Even though I have a real life job writing guides on removal-refitting parts on real cars, it takes time to write as clearly as possible and illustrate. Bonjour/Hello On est sur un forum en Anglais.
