  1. Erm, I never said they were inactive. In fact I can see they are far from it with how the Reports have been actioned. Enough off-topic, time to get back to the point of this thread.
  2. Top McLaren shot and the second could easily be from a film. You can really see the speed in it.
  3. Ferrari joining Lamborghini in adding pedestrian limb removers to their cars. Like that the pics are shown of it in yellow rather than the typical red.
  4. You cannot post them in this thread then, only mods that will be released for the community to be able to use can be shown in here. You can create your own Photomode thread and post your mods there though. We cannot act upon what we cannot see. Nobody informed us about this, surprised you didn't seeing as you think we are applying "double standards". Again if nobody reports we cannot know it has happened for certain. We scope the forum but it is easy to miss instances. One member says you're right as a point to kamil, nothing more.
  5. Awesome pics cal and congrats Mells on the first race win.
  6. What a final race. Seriously I was jitter-bugging about the room and my heart was pounding so hard. I'm not a Plato fan but I respected him more this year as he wasn't his usual smash-bash self and whoever won the 2015 Championship thoroughly deserved it. Shedden though, man what a drive. I see some BTCC fans crying that some racers let him by but that was only a small number compared to the cars he overtook on his own. His brakes were a massive talking point for Tim Harvey, in fact he was extremely worried about them and it was easy to see how hard he was pushing and the zone he and his car were in. If you've been watching BTCC long enough you know Shedden is a man who seems to be able to eek out more than what you would imagine, essentially pushing past the limit and making the car do things that even other drivers in the same car cannot do. He is an amazing racing driver, yes he has been in the past Mr Grouch and tended to blame others at times but again like Plato I think he reduced that aspect of his personality and concentrated more on the races and finishing them, than making mountains out of mole hills. Well done Flash, now a double BTCC Champion. :D
  7. BTCC and the start of the tduck Forza 6 Race League. Excellent!

  9. A DREAM COME 2 True to their word about the release of Assetto Corsa (AC) Dream Pack 2 and the version 1.3 update coming before [the end of] October 8th, Kunos Simulazioni (Kunos) have released both as of yesterday. The AC Dream Pack 2 contains in a first for PC racing simulations, a laser-scanned version of the Circuit of Catalunya in two layouts, and eight brand new cars with two of them in different versions making for ten in total. Similar to the first Dream Pack, the cars included have been selected from the results of polls where gamers have picked their favourite manufacturers and models via the Assetto Corsa website. "A resolution of 2 cm guarantees that every single bump, curb and slope is a perfect match to the real counterpart. The resulting accuracy combined with the advanced physics model of Assetto Corsa offers an unprecedented driving experience blurring even more the difference between virtual racing and reality." - Kunos Simulazioni Due to its complexity, the laser-scanned Catalunya circuit took nine months to recreate and is "the most faithful version of the Spanish track available in any racing game to date" according to Kunos. The cars fall in the Production and Racing categories, with the normal of the selection consisting of those from BMW, Lamborghini and RUF and the Racing having a Ford - the first in the game - legend, an Audi, another Lamborghini and that racing prototype SCG003 from that mega-rich jammy sod James Glickenhaus. Dream Pack 2 Content: Track: Circuit of Catalunya – GP / MOTO GP version Racing cars AUDI R8 ULTRA 2014 FORD GT40 MKI LAMBORGHINI Huracán GT3 Scuderia Cameron Glickenhaus SCG003 Production cars BMW M4 Coupé BMW M4 Coupé Akrapovič Edition LAMBORGHINI Countach 5000 QuattroValvole RUF RT 12 R AWD RUF RT 12 R RWD The Dream Pack 2 is available on Steam for €7.99. With improvement to the core game engine along with new features to the physics engine the game now supports native 64-bit. The physics engine has been reworked and is now multithreaded (though there is a report of Dual Core instability that will be fixed on Monday) proving for a better driving experience, "butter-smooth" Force Feedback and the apparent removal of signal noise and vibrations. AC's physics code is extremely highly-regarded, constantly evolving with many improvements being implemented during its life. 1.3 takes this further again with advanced active aerodynamics, four-wheel drive simulation with active differentials, authentic driving assists, hybrid engine simulation and a scary attention to tyre-wear aspects such as blistering, graining and flat spotting. With version 1.3 we now present you a completely reworked tyre model that includes new features in connection with tyre-speed sensitivity, combined grip, slip angles and ratios, load sensitivity, rolling resistance and most importantly, separated heating for surface and core temperatures. As a result, driving in Assetto Corsa is now more realistic than ever. The driving experience is more natural while at the same time also more challenging at the limit. Real-life features such as driving carefully in the first two laps to heat the tyres or taking it easy to cool down overheated tyres after a spin, the handling of the car changing from turn to turn depending on your driving style or as a result of driver errors and choosing the correct tyre compound depending on the track and car combination and also your driving style will now become part of your daily driving experience in Assetto Corsa. - Assetto Corsa Facebook And they haven't stopped at the tyres. Improved ABS system and depending on the car you're virtually sitting in, the game now supports different generations of these systems using 1 to 4 channels. Active differentials are enabled for RWD cars such as the brand new BMW M4 and the height sensitivity of front splitters and diffusers have been adjusted making their influence more complex from a setup point of view. This update makes the cars "alive", their behaviour often changing from one turn to the next in response to how you drive... or something. 10. Well they kept to their word. Those videos are seriously good and show what this game is capable of. 11. An Amazon Start Jeremy Clarkson has shared a picture on his twitter showing himself, Richard Hammond and James May standing in front of a Ferrari LaFerrari, McLaren P1 and a Porsche 918 Spyder. Joking that he was with a "skeleton crew", the presenters are in front of the sizeable crew and what look like technicians from the car makers themselves. The former Top Gear trio were eager to get this giant battle going and were keeping viewers updated with how the manufacturers were "warming to the idea" of it. Unfortunately earlier this year Clarkson was dismissed from the BBC after being involved in a 'fracas' with Top Gear producer Oisin Tymon over the supposed absence of steak. It wasn't too long afterwards that Hammond and May along with a group of the former production team left too. With that now in the past and the money from their Amazon Prime deal now ready to be spent, it's back to work for the series that will be ready to hit screens streams in 2016! As a cheeky play on their previous show and the tongue-in-cheek way they refer to themselves and each other, the show could be called Gear Knobs or Gear Nobs after they were discovered being registered as trademarks by Clarkson's law firm Olswang back in June. And with a reported £160 million to spend over 36 episodes they will be able to push for and do more than the estimated £500k an episode the BBC had for Top Gear, and as viewers know that programme was most definitely not lacking in quality or extravagant scenarios. Naturally the image of the battle everyone wanted to see happen has exploded over the internet, with Clarkson's own 5.6+million followers helping in a large part with this. And it will be well worth watching out for the in-production sneak peeks the cast decide to share with us via their social media if this is how they are starting off!
  12. What an image to show for your beginning. I mean will they be able to top this?
  13. Very impressive mate. I like this whole set, favourite would be the classic Benz shot however the Infiniti wasn't far behind.
  14. Logitech G DLC https://youtu.be/8SncwA1V05c It is a new month after the release of Forza Motorsport 6 and that means that a new Car Pack must be very close. Well it is, and it's actually coming out today, October 6th. In fact at the time of this posting the Logitech G Car Pack is probably out for most regions with others able to get theirs in the next few hours or so. This pack appears to follow the typical formula of six premium models with the obligatory freebie for all, to enable players to see one another without the need for default or ghost cars to represent them or others while playing online. There is quite a mixed bag with this new pack, from a 1939 Grand Prix racer to a full-length Limousine. Yep, you read that correctly -- there is an actual Limo in this DLC. We cannot wait to see the videos of these machines racing around, diving down the inside and going for the very long pass on the straights. The pack is lead by the Caparo T1, you all remember that right? It was the F1 car for the road, broke down many times for Clarkson on Top Gear and almost burned down while Jason Plato was testing it on Fifth Gear. Thankfully we do not expect the virtual representation to emulate these faults, but you never know! Next up is four eras of historic racer: a pre-WWII Grand Prix champion, 60s F1 'Hondola', 90s turbocharged IMSA 300ZX and a Le Mans prototype racer. For the more serene of you there is the 1967 Volvo 123GT "AMAZON" (our Swedish staff member seems very keen on this). A boring Sunday driver this is not, having raced in both on and off-road disciplines it is somewhat of a legend for some. And finally for the 'Ranjit' fans from HIMYM there is a the Cadillac Limo, where we expect a number of new unofficial game modes to come out due to its use. 2013 Caparo T1 1939 Mercedes-Benz W154 1967 Honda RA300 ('Hondola') 1994 Nissan #75 Cunningham Racing 300ZX 2014 Toyota #12 Rebellion Racing R-One 1967 Volvo 123GT 2013 Cadillac XTS Limousine You are also recommended to check out the Rivals mode that is specially designed for the Caparo T1. The free car looks to be the 2015 Infiniti Q60. It's shown in the video but not listed in the official release for the pack and is instead mentioned as coming for FREE to everyone via the October Update. Source: ForzaMotorsport.net
  15. The clip with the bikes is what gets me most, if they can nail that then crossing the environment should be a lot of fun!
  16. UbIvory Tower The muppets developers behind the massively-massive-open-world-online-racer The Crew are now a part of the Ubisoft family, the publisher announced today. Ivory Tower, based in Lyon, France started waaaaaaay back in 2007 after a small team escaped from the dungeons of Eden Games (just kidding!) shortly after the release of Test Drive Unlimited. At the moment, the 100-strong workforce are as busy as giraffes working away on The Crew Wild Run for its November 17th 2015 release. The studio will continue to support the title through future updates which, via the release, we learn has had more than 3 million players experiencing the scaled down version of the USA found in it. "We've always enjoyed a very positive relationship with Ubisoft. Working together on The Crew, and celebrating its success, made us both understand that we have huge potential in continuing to work together in the future," Ivory Tower managing director Ahmed Boukhelifa said. "By joining Ubisoft, the team at Ivory Tower will continue to benefit from Ubisoft's infrastructure, support, tools, technology, and vision. In return, we will contribute our own expertise to the broader Ubisoft story." The game has had its fair share of criticisms and a number of these are certainly looking to be resolved with 'Wild Run' with the improved graphics, weather system and handling changes. One thing is certain, there has been no end of feedback provided to the team via social media and official forums and if they act upon this then the game can and will only get better and bring in even more players. It's so annoying to talk about potential in games especially if it's wasted, so come on Ivory, show them how it's done! Source: UbiBlog
  17. Sweet Dream Pack 2 Assetto Corsa have announced on their official Facebook all that Dream Pack 2 will contain, along with the release info for the Version 1.3 Update. Assetto Corsa's Dream Pack 2 is due to drop for players before October 8th at a price of €7.99 and will contain a laser-scanned version of the home of the Spanish Formula One Grand Prix -- Barcelona's Circuit de Catalunya, in both GP and MotoGP layouts. New toys to play with come in the form of what AC call a "7+2 new" , meaning there are seven brand new models to the game with two being variations of models already included. The full list of the included new cars are listed below: Dream Pack 2 Cars Lamborghini Countach 5000 Quattro Valvole Lamborghini Huracan GT3 Ford GT40 MK1 Scuderia Cameron Glickenhaus SCG003 AUDI R8 ULTRA 2014 RUF RT12R AWD RUF RT12R RWD BMW M4 Coupe BMW M4 Coupe Akrapovic Edition At the same time Kunos Simulazioni will release the version 1.3 Update. Points such as native 64-bit support, improvements in the physics, graphical updates, audio enhancements and extra multiplayer options are the key takeaways in summary, however if you want to know more, the details posted by AC themselves are shown below. Assetto Corsa: Version 1.3 Update Physics 64-bit natively supported and car physics calculated on multi-thread. The physics engine has been reworked to become completely multithreaded: as a result, the driving precision is augmented, the accuracy further improved and the physics solver has enough horsepower to completely resolve any difficult calculations any speed, achieving butter smooth Force Feedback and complete elimination of signal noise and vibrations. We'll be back with more details on physics updates when the new build will be released next week. Graphics 2D/3D models, textures and shaders have been updated and improved, in order to keep the standards reached with the latest content. Now windscreens receive shadows, and a new camera facing feature improves the rendering of 2D/3D objects on track. A first basic support for dynamic objects on tracks has been added as well, and it will be improved in future updates, with the aim to get a more immersive environment. Sound Fine tuning and improved algorithms for audio editing: all new cars benefit by use of new techniques of recording and sampling for engines, interiors and exhaust systems, also thanks to the technical cooperation of Akrapovic. This allows to recreate a more detailed audio trace and the exclusive detail of each car, improving the immersion while driving. Content that are available already in Assetto Corsa will be updated during the process, to bring them to a higher level of realism and in line with the latest quality standards. Multiplayer Dedicated server has been optimized in order to improve general stability. New parameters and features have been added to server configuration, in order to please the requests of gamers who are looking for a more comprehensive online experience. Assetto Corsa is available to buy on Steam. [gallery] Source: Assetto Corsa Facebook
  18. Hey, after some Sherlock'ing I believe this is now fixed. Can you check just to be sure then I will mark the thread as fixed. Thanks.
  19. I see what you mean, I'll have a look into this. Well noticed. :)
  20. TITLE +AWESOME A new trailer went live for the upcoming Need for Speed (NFS) reboot, showing us some cars and going nicely into detail about the deep authentic customisation that the game will offer. A level of personalisation beyond a level that's been seen in games except for perhaps on the PC with the modding gods. With body kits from popular brands of today such as Rocket Bunny, SEIBON Carbon, RAUH-Welt BEGRIFF (RWB) and the ability to change sideskirts, bonnets/hoods, spoilers, fenders, wheels, wing mirrors and much more with after-market parts, almost every area of the car is up for you to craft to your own liking, making your car truly yours. After you have got your car looking the business, it's now time to take it to be painted and wrapped. Go from Stock to... Just like with the parts there is a multitude of ways for you to go about painting and wrapping you car to be as hideously beautiful or as beautifully hideous as you want it to be. Start with a simple respray of colour by using the colour selector and going with a metallic, matte or something else entirely finish. If that's not enough then the newly built from the ground up Wrap Editor will give you the brand graphics, patterns, shapes, flags and more to enable attempting a recreation of that true world icon of your favourite motorsport, fictional cartoon characters, cats (?) or having a go at your own personal look, the choice is completely yours. No doubt we will see some truly incredible artwork, as there is indeed a number of skilled individuals out there, who can when provided with a toolset like this, create the absolutely amazing. We cannot wait to see what they and you muppets come up with. Making your car look like it can go without being able to has long been the subject of many a put down in urban car culture, however worry not as NFS has you covered with performance upgrades. Increase your engine horsepower, acceleration and top speed. Bin the old clutch, suspension, air filter, fuel system, ECU etc and replace it with shiny top brand after-market products instead. While you're at it, throwing in a turbo is never an opportunity to be missed either. Stock +AWESOME! Unlike many games that either handle just ok or have you learn how to play with it, the handling of NFS can be tweaked to your preferred style of play. So whether you are more oldskool and like to brake for turns and feel the rear kick out under power or are a modern spoon who loves the brake-to-drift easiness of today, then you can have it how you want. It is still arcade in nature remember so a full-on simulation is not going to be found amongst the slider options. In saying that, moving a slider between 'Drift' and 'Grip' is the easy approach, thankfully you can tailor with individual settings such as: tire pressures, downforce, brake bias, steering response, the enabling/disabling of braking drift/drift stability assists plus more. Need for Speed has been away for a year, but it has to be said that the extra time and thinking with this game just may well make it the best Need for Speed in a long time and one all fans of the series can appreciate due to it catering to them in part. Street, Supercar, Drifting, Drag, US Muscle, JDM is all in and you can go as wild or a docile as you like. You really can play this game as you want. Need for Speed is out for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on November 3rd, 2015 with PC to follow in Spring 2016.
  21. I'd rather it wasn't there or was into double figures to be quite frank, however if it is only 5 then I hope that you can save preset builds of cars so that should you wish to return back to a previous setup that it is an easy task, and does not require a lot of 'ermm I think it was this one'.
  22. Let's Have Some Finn Codemasters have released their latest update Version 8.0 the "Flying Finland Pack" for DiRT Rally. The pack introduces players to Finland, the spiritual home of rallying where there are 12 new stages set in the Jämsä region. These are the fastest yet with average speeds in excess of 100mph/160kph and massive crests and jumps that will make those all-important pace notes invaluable to completing the course relatively intact. Anyone who has ever watched footage from a Finnish Rally knows how nuts it looks in not only the speed, but also the height and distance the cars get when taking off from the many jumps littered along the courses, and then there is the really HARD landings where doing a few rollovers will more than certainly be the order of the day. Should be a right laugh then! As with your typical patch/update there is a selection of improvements, fixes and if you're (un)lucky, maybe even some new bugs and glitches. V8.0 Changelog Features and content: 12 new rally stages near Jämsä, Finland All new 2000s vehicle class 2 new cars – Subaru Impreza 2001 and Ford Focus RS Rally 2001 Custom Championships – You can now tweak the number of events, stages and AI difficulty. This will mean that you can set up an event that suits the amount of time you have available and get rewarded accordingly. Mouse Support! – Yep you asked for it so here it is. It’s still a work in progress so please give us your feedback on how we can improve it. We’ve reworked the handling on our 60s, 70s, 80s RWD and 2010s classes – these changes have seen improvements to the way we model suspension and tyres, along with engine and aero rework they really make the cars feel a lot more dynamic to drive. We’ve updated the engine audio for the 1995 Subaru Impreza in the Group A class. We’d like to say a massive thank you to Ryan Champion for letting us use his awesome car for the recording! We’ve wrapped our replays so you can rewind from the start of a replay to watch the final section of your run much faster than you could before. We’ve added a new ‘Invite Friends’ option in the lobby to make it easier for you to get the people you want into your PVP races. Fixed: The audio FX levels for the surfaces and kick up have been brought back so that you can hear all that gravely goodness. We sent our Rallycross AI drivers to the opticians so that they can now see when they need to avoid other cars when they are approaching the joker entrance. Now that they can see better they are also setting faster laps. We’ve fixed the camera clipping in certain camera angles when you changed the Field of View. We’ve made some Hyper threading fixes that should now prevent those annoying stuttering issues that some of you were having. We’ve stopped the Engineer contract lengths and costs from being affected when competing in league events. Toggling Push to Talk or enabling/disabling voice communications through the pause menu is now actually working. The Reset Timer has now been increased to 15 seconds when attempting to get back on track. I know we said that before but this time it is actually in. Cars will no longer roll over on the start in PVP races, ROFL. We’ve made sure that the cars are visible on the start line even when collisions are turned off in PVP – they will still ghost during the race though. Your PVP opponents won’t be showboating and driving around with the handbrake on anymore. The gear setup will no longer be changing between stages without a service area. We’ve fixed those odd camera angles that were being used in spectate mode. The miles driven using owned vehicles in PVP now accrue towards unlocking upgrades for that vehicle. When viewing a replay using an interior camera, the speedometers now show the correct speed for all vehicles. We’ve fixed a whole host of other stuff too but they were too boring to call out in this list. [gallery] DiRT Rally is available for PC via Steam Early Access. Hehehe: "Since its release on Steam Early Access in April, Dirt Rally’s dedicated players have clocked up over 58 million kilometers, raced 1.4 million clean stages and performed nearly 1.5 million barrel rolls in their quest to join the world’s elite DiRT Rally players at the top of the leaderboards."
  23. Make Tracks of Course When the course editor for Gran Turismo 6 (GT6) was talked about many moons ago as a feature that was coming to the game, the expectation by many was that it would be late, and it was, and is but lo and behold the time-prolonging experts of Polyphony Digital have actually gone and done it. Unlike in GT5 the Course Maker, known as the Track Path Editor is now an app, available on tablets for Android and iOS (Android 4.1+/ iOS 7.0+) that enables you to create your own courses where they can then be driven around in GT6 on PlayStation 3. You can choose from one of four basic location settings, the track’s shape, width and even the banking of corners along with trackside objects such as curbs, billboards, trees and buildings. There's a nice little touch when using the "Eifel Flat" location, in that images can be used as a base to help you in tracing the layout of any real life circuits or locations you may wish to recreate, or at least attempt to copy anyway. And what of that whole copy your own GPS data in that we heard about? It's there, no really it is - Raw GPX/KML data can be imported from compatible GPS devices. Lucas Ordoñez gets to grips with the Track Path Editor How to use the GT6 Track Path Editor The general steps to create a track and race on it in Gran Turismo 6. Install the Track Path Editor on your tablet device. ( Apple App Store / Google play ) Create track data using the Track Path Editor. Transfer the track you've created into Gran Turismo 6. Load the track data using the Track Path Importer. Test drive every section of the track using the Track Path Importer. Save the track as a user-created track. Use the track in Arcade Mode or in the Community area. The official Gran Turismo website has more info about the GT6 Track Path Editor in its manual. If you're wondering what this all looks like then our good friends at MotoGames have helpfully done a video showing exactly that. GT6 Track Path Editor - Images [gallery] The update also included the following: Penalties have been disabled in “Free Run” mode. With the addition of the “GT6 Track Path Editor”, the maximum length of best lap replays that can be loaded in the Data Logger has been set to 20 minutes. The engine sounds of certain cars have been improved. (wait really? no wait are you serious?!) GT Academy 2015 has been removed from the [sPECIAL EVENTS] section in accordance to the end of the Online Qualifier period. Thanks: GTPlanet / Gran Turismo
