  1. Could be I suppose, maybe they threw it back out on Steam to make a quick buck. After all they published that Ferrari Racing Legends game using their TEST DRIVE license. The mentions of Eden making a Free-to-play racer and mobile game under that license doesn't make sense though unless yet again they liked throwing their money away. It's all done so wrong that it's difficult to work out what's being done right.
  2. I agree, the signs were there and were pointed out long in advance but it did feel like Atari were calling the shots and we saw what that has done in the past. It truly defies disbelief how they manage to screw up without learning from their mistakes. When myself and Fabien were so kindly allowed to go to Eden and playtest the game it was obvious where the flaws were and we both brought them up. The handling we spoke about and asked the questions fans of the game were wanting to know and were told; handling between arcade and simulation, all dials would be working and saw Lamborghini models and was given the nod they were in. Then came the Beta and what can we say about that, there was a ton of feedback given, some of it was taken onboard but virtually everything regarding the handling was left alone. It's as if someone was basically saying to them "it's fine, work on the other stuff". Being a mod on the TDU2 and atari forums it doesn't fill you with confidence seeing many Community Managers passing through in a short time, and in all honesty 'Destra' was a saint for what he had to put up with and was severely wasted at Atari. He actively tried to get involved and pass on the feelings and feedback of the community but I bet it just stayed Unread on someone's inbox or left on a desk or something in a folder. It pains me really to see how it got so bad for the sequel to this game, it should have been a way of printing money for them but with Atari it's always easy to predict the worse and then get totally abysmal back in return. It would be funny if it didn't people losing their jobs and such, and I'm talking about the workers mainly here not the higher-ups who get a cushy payout no matter what state the company is in. Atari Inc (North American) are out of bankruptcy, their parent Atari SA (Europe) are not doing well but they have good licenses and the Atari 'brand' that still sells well to people though I'm confused with this as I'm sure it's Atari Inc who have most of those licenses. So what the hell is going to happen from now? It's anyone's guess!
  3. More than likely the paperwork got lost in the transition between the many useless departments and such at Atari. Honestly it wouldn't surprise me if someone at Atari has noticed it was available, it was selling and thus decided to pull it for some inane reason. Realistically though it's more than likely Valve got tired of their unprofessional mediocre ways of doing business and the way they deal with their customers and have binned all their titles for the time being. Just Atari being Atari.
  4. Oh man those voices, so glad I don't play CoD at all. I thought these guys popped up after the original Kinect too?
  6. Haha cool little story that, felt like I was looking at some storyboards.
  7. That weather.... it's it's so paradisical! (a word?) I had to double look your 7th image though ermm Jill as it looked like a crab or fish was fishing in the background imo.
  8. Why are they making it for Wii U still when they dumped 360 and PS3? I have no idea, maybe they have a binding contract with Nintendo or want to prove something, I don't know but dumping the HD twins when they have such a huge install base with people clamouring for something to make-up for the lack of a new Forza on 360 especially is head-scratchingly mind-boggling imo. Wii U is struggling hard, ok it's over 4 million but so is PS4 and that's only been out 2 months!
  9. Fair point, I mean this is exactly why I started the above post with the "Game Over Man!" quote, however the end of that trailer does show that the developer somewhat feels the same and wants to make the game the name deserves. It's out late 2014 so chances are a lot more will be known over the next number of months including of course just how bad... or perhaps good it turns out to be. :)
  10. Nice work, cool wee car the Integra. Remember using it in both GT and Forza often due to it's handling prowess. :)
  11. Almost 1:1, that's not too shabby mate.
  12. What about the F2P arcade game for PC too. Facebook maybe? They have well and truly cancelled the V-Rally (X) project they had going that's for sure.
  13. "GAME OVER MAN" Usually that's what would be thought when you saw a new 'Alien' game was on it's way, but this one actually looks promising and maybe even deserving of the title of the original film that scared so many with it's constant feeling of being hunted, dark lit (huh?) corridors and of course those incredibly tight ventilation shafts. Then there was that scanner that would go *beep* *beep*, getting higher pitched and faster as it detected something was getting closer and closer. Seriously just from the above, a game that captures all that from the film should have been made long ago but alas we still wait. Maybe at the end 2014 that wait will finally be over?
  14. Generally the license would relate to future titles and whatever terms were set about current titles. As for previous, hard to say as some let them go as history and others enforce their rights by pulling them down if they're still available. Atari in some form (either Inc or SA) still have the TEST DRIVE license though.
  15. The edengames.com website may be off just now but there are bits-and-pieces of info around showing that the studio itself is in fact still going. Jean Yves Geffroy - France | LinkedIn for example is showing his latest Job Position started November 2013 at eden and look at the little part under that, yep making a mobile game based on based on the TEST DRIVE license. What is actually going on though? Is anyone's bloody guess!
  16. Marco Massarutto has been busy again posting more WIP shots from the studio. We get the LaFerrari in these ones.
  17. This is astounding, seriously I have been watching this video and my jaw has been dropped for so much of it. You honestly won't believe what you are about to see.
